Hi Connie, I am a 77 year old novice at making mums and garters. I have watched almost all of your videos. You are great. I just made two of these braids for a matching mum and garter. Because I am someone who likes measurements, i made one using the ribbon off the roll. When I completed it, i took measurements of the different front and back loops. Based on my calculations I cut 124 inches of the diamond dust and 90 inches of the other two ribbons. I am pleased to say that I made a 17 loop (wing) braid measuring 22 inches. If someone wanted a longer or shorter braid, they could use plus or minus (7 1/3 inches for diamond dust and 5 5/8 inches for each wing). I love this braid as it give a different look from a lot of the typical collars on mums that researched.

You can do it either way, but I would hang both ends on either side of the Mum head

I love this braid, but my attempts look absolutely nothing like this is supposed to. I think it's a matter of exactly where to hold the ribbon as you work it. I've tried weaving it tight and weaving it loose, but I just keep making a hot mess. 😢

I think I figured out that I'm a lefty trying to follow right-handed instruction. Ordinarily, it makes little difference, but this braid seems to be different. I'm determined to get this and will keep you posted. ❤

I wish I knew how to help you with that. I do know that it doesn’t matter which side you military and which side you Mobius. Try switching it up and see if that works better for you.

I’m a lefty too and I was ready to give up after a few passes I kept going and noticed the back of my braid was perfect!!! Lol
