Thank you for making this. This is also a good idea to put your baby's milestones paperworks or medical records. I saw this same theme on etsy and it was way to pricey for the price. Now all I have to do is buy all the materials and make this one myself! Thank you again so much Bethany! xoxo 💜
Another excellent tutorial!! Great idea about laying the bottom layer back on the mat to hold it still while applying the vinyl to the top layer. Brilliant!! Keep them projects coming, I enjoy watching them! I love the storage solution and I may have to do this with mine. Thanks!!
So glad you enjoyed this Carla! Yes, using the mat to help steady the material and keep it flat really helped me so I could focus on aligning the design, without movement! I will have to remember I did that in future projects!
@@Bethadilly I will espicially when I do get a bunch of vinyl right now I just put my useable scrap pieces back into the boxes they came out of but I don't have much yet so that works for now
I love your file folder boxes! Right now I am just starting out so all of my scraps are in a plastic zipper envelope, one for each type. I can see that as my collection grows, I will need another solution.
That is how my collection started out too! It tends to grow quickly, but this will help me actually look for scraps first! I have been bad about using scraps lately, but I have been really good about saving them! That may be why they have added up so quickly!
I love it! If I had a big area for my cricut stuff I would love to do your idea! But for storage purposes I have a 12by12 scrapbook case like you showed with 12x12 scrapbook protector sheets by color scheme like you have it, it works for now 😊
Love how the boxes came out. If I had more space, I would definitely do something like that. Right now I have my small scrap bin for my small vinyl pieces. If the scraps are too big for my scrap bin but are too small to be put back in the roll, I have a box for those. They fit on my craft cart. Since I don’t do much HTV I have pouch for those scraps.
Hi There, I'm not finding a source for the little round containers that you store your sequins in, you have them tops of the container labeled and stated they are your favorite and most used sequins. They are pastel pink, blue, green. I think you said they have magnets on the bottom also. If you could share the source that would be great. Thank you.
okay...I have a ton of different blues and a few colors of others ones just different shades do you recommend just doing the rainbow and putting powder blue, medium blue, royal blue, teal, dark etc all in just a blue scrap folder and so on with other colors too? Or make one for every color? cuz I'm back and fourth with it.I need some advice
Personally, if you have the space, I would have a file folder for each color I have (the company I buy from has approx 30 colors - but I usually only have about 20 of the colors) so I would have 20 folders in the box. But not everyone has that much space.
I’m brand new to Cricut. Is there a way to use scraps of smart vinyl since you don’t use a mat with it? Or CAN you use a mat with it for scraps? I love your filing system. It’s useful but also very cute.
Thank you so much, Cathy! Yes, here is a video tutorial on how you can still use your SmartVinyl scraps! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nJxZQV0lFQw.html
I just did the file box and was able to do the lettering. Thank you. I’m having trouble tho’ making the tabs for the HTV. I can’t get them separated from the backing to make the tab. Do you have a suggestion? Thanks!!
Do you have a video about working with fonts, particularly multi layer fonts. I added the Kate’s ABC’s font, but , to me it doesn’t appear to be 2 layers. Can you help a beginner out?
You will need to turn on the second layer in the layers panel on the right side by clicking the “eye” icon. That will allow the second layer to turn on and be used!
