I’m Mexican and we lived in 3rd Ward from 1991-1996. I remember seeing the slabs swangin down the block with the trunk rattling to some Screw. I fell in love with that music immediately and begged my mom to buy me some grey tapes. I would sit on the porch and listen to them over and over all day long. So many great memories from those days. RIP SCREW!

Word has that it was going to be members signed to Screwed Up Entertainment. I was told it was supposed to be Al-D,Shorty Mac,A.CT, Enjolie, D-Drew, and Guerilla Maab. Also Screw wanted Z-Ro on the label as well, but the contract with straight profit was a two album deal. Z-Ro vs the world and King Of The Ghetto. But yeah, those were the members who going to be signed to Screwed Up Entertainment this was in 2000

I am from Houston. Been Jamming Screw since 93, I came up on the sound and style. I never once have heard anyone call H - Town H-Tine. It's a southern drawl for sure and accent but nobody ever calls Town tine or down dine

@@ad_stayfly7 Nope. They said town with a Texas southern accent, it's long and drawn out but sounds absolutely nothing like tine. A tine is a prong of a fork. Dine is what you do at your favorite restaurant. Just because we are from Texas and from the south doesn't make us illiterate. calling a town a time and down dine just makes us all look like inbred retards. Even with our accents Town is still town and down is still down. I recognize the accent. I don't recognize illiteracy. Peace
