Thank you so much for this video. I bought the Thrustmaster and the quadrant a week ago and could not get it running, watched numerous videos, none did really help until I found your tutorial. Should have thought of you in the first place, because I've seen some tutorials from you in the past. My mother tongue is not English some of the tutors speak to fast but you are articulated and calm, thank you for this as well. KUDOS to you!!!!!
Just received my thrustmaster add-on, last Saturday. It was my birthday surprise, because it was due to arrive today. I KNEW I could count on you, to explain the sensitivity settings perfectly. The instruction sheet didn't clearly explain how to replace the detent settings to linear, but you did so very clearly. Thank You! I've been having trouble with the Spoilers & Flaps levers, but followed your instructions for a test flight in the a320 neo.
I use that set of thrustmaster addons for more than 6 months and they work very well. I had to refine thrust levers calibration editing the calibration file but it works fine and gave me and excellent experience. Some weeks ago I went to the real simulator of Flight Concept close to Tires airport (for business jets in Lisbon), used by many pilots to train and prepare assessments during the pandemic. And it was very very easy to use all the pedestal controls because I’m used to have them in a similar position.
FYI this does come with a screwdriver for customising the stick and detents... it also doubles up as a rod to slide between the thrusters to lock/sync them together.
@@EasyjetsimpilotI'm glad I saw this before I watch your review... How can you possibly make a review when you haven't even unpacked the box completely?
Thank you for this video. I wish the flaps would've been setup though. Because there being 4 positions setting that up in the sim controls has been a nightmare.
There is no detent for idle reverse, correct? So you just move the levers back a little and set that position in the software? Also, a few comments on the hardware. Really should have incorporated the spoiler arm pull the flap lock, and not have the auto brake and gear levers since it takes away from the realism.
I have had the full set for awhile now. Fantastic for the airbus 320, nx32 and the 330-900. Bit unrealistic to use with GA aircraft but I mainly fly the air bus anyway. Excellant bit of kit. Pricey but worth it if you what to get away from using the mouse, Great emersion.
love this really makes the Airbus more realistic to fly still need to get the flap and spoiler addon for mine , i am also looking forward to the Boeing flight yoke and throttlethey announced the a few weeks back
Hi Gavin I have over written my default profile for the TCA quadrant Airbus edition accidentally on my PC and now my left side thrust lever on full throttle returns to reverse in the game. I don’t know if that’s got anything to do with it but the aircraft vías to the left. Any help would be appreciated TIA.
I've always flown left handed. Even though I'm right handed. Comes from learning years ago when you keep your right hand on the thrust levers. (not in the airbus)
@@Easyjetsimpilot i have been flying right handed since almost 25 years since most sticks are simply right handed. but of course this always felt somehow wrong because the standard cockpit view was from the left seat. but when i finally got my TCA airbus package last weekend it was time to switch to captain configuration of course. it felt a bit strange for the very first minutes, but after completing a sort of circuit pattern i felt comfortable and the next flight was just normal as always. - maybe driving cars from left seat like here in germany also helps ;) (oh and when i had to drive a couple of right steering wheel cars in my job i'd say that was so much more difficult to get used to..)
I have been using the TCA sidestick and throttle for a while now and love them. I just ordered my second throttle quadrant for 4 engines so i just need the flaps and spoilers. I will probably get the Thrustmaster Boeing yoke when it comes out as my first yoke.
Hi! Thanks for the wonderful video! I am quite new to Flight Sim and I am considering to buy this Captain Pack. One question: With this setup how would you bind the nose trim wheel? For example you would use the hard buttons? Keyboard keys? Or not used at all?
Hi, nice video. I have a question can I connect directly to the Xbox console, since my pc is not good for the flight simulator. Thanks if you can answer the question.
Now I have a problem to taxi with the side stick, the plane will not turn far enough. Could I use my Saitek/Logiteck rudder pedals, if yes how to connect. would very much appreciate your advice.
Hey Gavin , I am unable to use flap numberwise and Speed brake as it should be in A330 neo. Please help and your help is def required regarding keybinding
BTW - I had to uncheck the "REVERSER on Axis" since the reverser section didnt seem to be included on the Throttle Axis in MSFS. Is there a way to add it ? Where did it go ? This actually worked for me by unchecking the box on the in cockpit on the flypad. Then I went thru the detent settings. I used this concept for the TM Airbus and the Honeycomb Throttle.
I have the same problem with Throttle axis problem, the idle by default was way up, you have to duplicate the default profile, then go to sensitive settings, change two throttles' sensitivities all to linear 0%.
Thank you for the video! I have a question: I put both joystick and accelerator usb in pc and Windows installed drivers automatically, even the quadrant ones. Is it necessary to install them? Is there any difference by installing them? Thank you and have a nice day!
Hey Gav, quick question. Are you able to return to "Normal Mode" on the engine switch? On my quadrant, I'm able to switch to "Crank" and "IGN/Start" but when i switch back to Normal Mode it does not revert to this. Am I missing something?
@easyjetsimpilot Gavin, what are the dimensions of the Thrustmaster Thrust Levers + Add On Flaps and Spoiler quadrants? In particular wide and depth! Thanks in advance.
unfortunately it seems there is no seperate physical idle reverse detent on the throttle quadrant, although it has one painted on it. so we have to specify an idle reverse area a bit lower than normal idle in the flypad and just guess the correct spot when pulling back the levers. levers could still be a bit stiffer in general, but i'd say they're okay when you crank up the adjust screw. sidestick especially feels very satisfying, quite firm and centers very precisely, so dead zone can be set to almost zero. so far, i would say this is the best piece (or pieces) of gear i've ever had and makes sim-flying the airbus a lot more fun! (and now looking forward to the boeing controls, looks very promising :) )
I had the quadrant add-ons on order for over 6 months and nothing, turns out they were sacrificed for yet another bundle. Learnt to live without them and will save the money.
Turgay hocam "Easyjetsimpilot" videosunda cihazları PC'ye takınca otomatik herşeyi algılıyor ve set ediyor diyor ama benim Throttle Quadrant'ta AirBrake Spoiler ve Flaplar kademeli çalışmıyor. Bunu düzeltmem için MSFS ayarlarda hangi değişiklikleri yapmam gerekli yardım edebilir misiniz? Thrustmaster driverlarını da kurmuştum. Teşekkürler
Does anyone have an updated joystick sensitivity setting for my TCA? My A32nx seems to be super sensitive these days? I'm ideally looking for something as close to True to Life as possible. Many thanks.
Thank you for this great introduction. Unfortunately its not working for me. The TCA works correctly with the A320 Asobo Version but not in my flybywire A320 :( First: when I move the Throttle in the Flex or Toga position, than you see the throttle not moving in the cockpit. Second: on flypad settings, i can not see the apply and save&apply buttons “lighting” so I can not calibrate it 🤦♂️ I tried all versions (stable, developer and experimental), but no luck with the TCA in Flybywire Airbus. pity…
Aerosoft actually was very fast to deliver. I ordered on the very late Thursday evening and the order arrived straight on Saturday morning 9 am, perfect for a weekend full of joy 😊
Hi, I recently purchased the Thrustmaster Officer pack Airbus Edition. However, I am facing issues in configuring proper throttle detent settings. The physical device is okay. I am facing issues inside the game. I have the A32NX Flybywire Add-on installed. Can someone please help? So the issues are: I start with when the throttle is idle in both the game and the actual physical device. The moment I touch the throttle physically, in MSFS it is going default at Climb detent. 2. Physical Device: At Rev Full. In MSFS = Also At Rev Full. This is the first correct setting I am getting. 3. Physical Device: At Rev Idle. In MSFS = Somewhere between Idle and Climb. 4. Physical Device: Idle. In MSFS = Climb detent position. 5. Physical Device: Just 4-5mm above Idle. In MSFS = Flex MCT detent position. 6. Physical Device: At Climb detent position. In MSFS = 3-4mm Slightly below TOGA 7. Physical Device: Flex MCT detent position. In MSFS = TOGA 8. Physical Device: TOGA. In MSFS = TOGA. This is the second correct setting I am getting which is matching both physically and in-game. I tried all this in the stable version of A32NX. Someone, please help.
@@Easyjetsimpilot Hello thanks for the quick reply. I am doing it via EFB only. I saw your video twice now. For some reason I am not able to save and apply. It's not enabled for me. Whatever detent position I am selecting on actual device, then selecting the corresponding detent position on EFB, then clicking on set from throttle, it is not giving me Save and Apply or Apply option. Those are disabled. Also, for every setting, I am getting overlap messages. Please help again.
@@Aditya22Kumar it will not allow you to save an apply if the detent parameters are over lapping. Lower the null zone setting to something like 0.2 and try again.
Sadly the autobrake switch still doesn't really work with the FBW Experimental version. It selects the right auto brake setting, but it deselects it in the sim after a while.
@@TheGerudan I use the out of the box settings. But your keyboard bindings and/or mfs assistance/option may interfere. I set the autobrake at tod and it always last until landing
A little bit disgusted I have to say ... because it is already more than a year now that I try to order the missing components to my already existing joystick and thrustmaster without success ! Sold out ! Not in stock ! ... More than a year !
