New timings to Minelab detectors, can the older GP detectors run GPX timings?

Years ago I made my own timings up for the SD2200 detectors, but is it possible to add GPX enhance and fine gold timings to a GP 3000, is it even possible to put GPX 6000 timings into an older detector? Would it work.

I recently picked up a gp extreme with 18in and 10in coil. Has a tracking button on the handle and came with an audio booster. Also got a SD2000 with two coils in the same $600 deal. It has two extra knobs above the balance 1 knob. Any idea what mod that would be on the SD2000? Thanks

That will be extra gain for channel 1 and 2 , but sometimes it maybe extended ground balance range.
