I really loved the laundry area. I agree with another poster about the centrally located door making it difficult to have a full sofa or love seat. Beautiful, though.
Have to agree. The area where the couch sits is way too small because of the staircase. If they could find another place to run the stairs would give that spot more room.
I really like this floor plan. The only thing I would change is to flip the entertainment center to the short wall next to the stairs. The laundry area and the closet space in the bedroom are great.
Yeah you know I don't know why I didn't think about that Crystal exactly exactly so I'll give you a little more room for a decent couch and you probably get out of chair in there somewhere I'm I'm sure I know I could LOL but yeah I think that would absolutely make it the best one ever they just switch those two things
This is super nice, gotta agree with flipping the entertainment center next to the stairs to gain more room on the other side for a bigger couch. Also, I would tile the shower as well. Other than that it's a great layout and I also love the laundry area 😊
This "Barn Owl" model is my future tiny home. Don't need a big living area bcuz I will be the only person there. Don't need the loft but just in case one of my children and my grandchildren come to spend the night then it would be my guest room. Would love to add the cabinets in the loft, that I have seen in other models, to be used for storage. The only thing that I would want to change is the kitchen faucet. I love the detachable spring-loaded faucet that you have used in so many of your models. This is truly the 1st model that totally works for me, paint colors and all. If possible I would love to get this exact model and have the porch completely screened in. Would be amazing with the french doors. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showcasing the new "BARN OWL" model.
You knocked it out of the park on this one! The split closets with the TV shelf always bugged me as a waste of space. This closet is fabulous! The side by side laundry with soooo much storage, the tub, the pantry, the cape cod accents, fireplace! Wow, I'm in love! I wish I was in the market for a house right now because I would buy this in a flat minute. Also, Mr. Tiny, that suit is very nice!
I love that laundry area! My only tweak would be to put the entry door to one side or instead of the double doors one single one off on the side wall in line with the stairs so the living space had more furniture layout options. Just have to add a little wrap around front porch stoop to access that big porch area , which is needed for extra living space in nice weather.
Best ideas Tawnya! I already forgot the first of the video showing two entry doors. Unnecessary in a tiny house--it eats up valuable furniture placement space-especially when it is placed in the middle of the wall. It should be offset to left or right. Then you could have an apartment sized L-shaped couch.
For older people. Has ground floor bedroom. As I get older I like that. Washer and dryer a must. A back or side door would be nice. Then if you want you could make another deck. Would put fire place by stairs. More ways to do living room. Love it!
I didn’t think I would love a tiny home more than the Cardinal or Tumbleweed but this Barn Owl is my new favorite! This hits all of the boxes for us. We can put the cat litter boxes in the space under the stairs! Just a perfect home all around!❤️
Love it, get rid of the porch shorten it to 4ft, increase the living room space to allow for a sofa. Change the drawer/ shirt area and expand the closet. Love the fireplace.
Loved the closet area! The laundry is awesome. Finally, a bathtub. Mr. Tiny, bathtubs are not just for little kids. There’s nothing like a relaxing bubble bath to soak off a stressful day or those pesky aches and pains. The cabinetry is perfect. The pet nook is great. Pet adoption went through the roof during Covid so thinking along those lines is progressive. The only corrections I would make to the Barn Owl are these. The seating area in the living room isn’t enough for a sofa. And I would put a dishwasher drawer under the sink.
@@MrVictoria69 I would shorten the porch by 2'. I live in Louisiana and it is hot at least 8-9months out of the year so hot means humidity and mosquitos. We don't spend much time on porches unless they are enclosed with glass and have a/c or screening and ceiling fans. I would much rather have the floor space indoors to put a smallish couch. I would also make the windows not so huge (tall) because it looks horrible when couches are covering up part of a window. This is an awesome floorplan-but of course, Mr Tiny could sell sand to a desert! :-)
@@MrVictoria69 Well, it definitely would 20 square feet (did he say the house was 10' feet wide, it's been a minute since i watched this :-) So, it would no longer qualify as a Park Model home. Those def have to be 399 or under.
This is an instant classic. It is a well constructed tiny home and it hits all the must haves. The fact that the bedroom has vaulted ceilings, really does make the room seem much more than a can. I could totally do this home and be happy with one other person, a pet or two and visits from the kids on occasions.
Exactly how I felt! I love tiny homes but this is the first layout I've felt I could actually handle living in! And that also sums up my ideal life...having a companion, but a peaceful existence both respecting each other's space. And visits from the kids occasionally... lmao! I really felt your meaning with "on occasions" 😅🤣😂
That's so strange but this model looks larger than the other types😊 I'm about to rent out a 389sq foot space for $2,900 a month and I'm really eyeing these tiny homes. If only I had a place to put it😥
And depending on where you live that space could be as much as $1800 a month to rent! If you pay cash for the tiny home it's easy to swing, but if you get a loan on top of the space rent it adds up. That is the most expensive I have seen, but I am sure there are some higher at the beach. Where I live in California the average for an RV park space is $1100 and the space is way smaller than a mobile home park space. Typically, they are only 40 feet long 20 feet wide.
Wow, wow for the Barn Owl! I read all the comments and here are a few options I would like to see offered with this model: Use the space where the side by side W/D is for the stairs. Put a stack W/D in the bedroom. Use the under stair space as drawer storage and add a charging nook for electronics. The LR is now larger! OR... Put a half bath in the side by side laundry space. We like to entertain and having a half bath would keep every body happy when nature calls... We are loving your tiny homes! ❤️
High windows are great, but if you have too many lower windows in living room takes away from space & also TV glare, sometimes too much sun, so that all your blinds wind up having to be all closed anyway. Bigger storage area under the stairs please.
The living space was clearly sacrificed in this one. It doesn't look like you'd be able to fit even a small couch in that space without blocking the stairs. For that reason alone, it might be worthwhile to do a version of this floorplan without the loft. That said, the entertainment center looks great. I especially like the electric fireplace. The pet nook/storage space underneath the stairs is a smart addition. I would definitely utilize that for a pet if I had one with me in this home. I like the wraparound kitchen and the surprisingly large pantry. Also, the placement of the fridge is perfect. Anybody who loves to cook will have everything they need close at hand. The side-by-side washer and dryer area is a welcome sight in a home this size. And the cabinetry going all the way around it is impressive. I like the layout of the bathroom, but the tub in that tub shower is just so small. I think I'd rather have a tile shower in that space. There doesn't seem to be any particular reason for the doorway to the bedroom to be so small. I'd definitely like to see that widened. I appreciate that the loft ends at the bedroom. I would want my bedroom in a tiny home to feel as big and open as possible. I like the abundance of hanging space in the bedroom. It's good to see that the typical design of two small closets with a small space for a TV in the middle has been ditched for something more utilitarian. If you wanted to, you could use the shirt cabinets for shirts and pants and use the closet as a coat closet.
I just CANNOT believe this is only 399 square feet! Recreational Resort Cottages, I am running out of words to describe the videos I see each time! The Barn Owl is my new favorite!!! There is SO much storage and everything is laid out very well!!! If you ever look to expand to the west coast, let me know as I want to be a part! Well done RRC and "Mr. Tiny!"
Love it all. I would make some changes for myself if I were to go with this home. I would go with a tile shower and more closet space upstairs...but that's just me.
Mr. Tiny, RRC and you have outdone yourselves!!! I love the Barn Owl. My major change would be a 6 foot front porch for more living room space. This way the other awesome amenities are not lost.
Love it!! And love that you listened to the customers! From start to finish y'all have a way of captivating the viewers! Fantastic house, fantastic presentation!
Please make a home that does not have a door right in the living room. None of the living rooms are big enough. The kitchens don't need to be the biggest room in the house.
Love this one! I would offset the entry door a little to the right, flip the entertainment wall to the stair wall, stack the washer/dryer and put a built in desk with storage above in that space.
Love this floor plan... I would switch where the couch and the fireplace is to allow for more room... Add this to a nice large porch and we have a winner!!!
This might be one of my top 3 floorplans. I love the front windows, the laundry, the built ins in the master, the kitchen. For me I'd think the only thing I'd like to change is the tub for a walk in shower.
Love the kitchen with the counter height eating area... Ideal floor plan w centralized loft... Fits lot of needs! Love all the custom cabinetry for the bedroom and the laundry section! Likes the extra pantry closet as well!
I LOVE this one, too! But extending the loft along with the added padding and carpet all the way back that's over the bedroom would be absolutely perfect.
Mr Tiny, We are all loving this one it seems! In the master bedroom, what if you increased the depth of the built-in wardrobe area so it is flush with the closet. Then, you could eliminate the wardrobe doors AND the closet bi-fold door with barn style doors. When closed, they would cover the closet and the built in wardrobe area-leaving a not so "busy" cluttered wall with different cabinets/drawers/walls. Just a thought and in no way criticizing the current layout. It would also give customer a few more inches of storage space up top the built in and more inches to the wardrobe shirt hanging area and in the drawers.
I absolutely adore this cute little home. It is very well made for a single person or very in love couple. This is so very darling. Love it, love it, love it.
Hello Mr. Tiny I love this particular model its good for me and my grand daughter. I love the kitchen and I love to cook, I like the fact that it has a lot of space in the kitchen👍❤️.
I love this color and the barn owl name. That was hilarious the first shot of the house was me tiny sitting up in the loft like a barn owl in a barn. I needed a good laugh, brings me back time and again to watch videos.
Great space for a factory-built mobile home. So many of them are tacky and off trend and it was worth the watch to see Mr. Tiny present it. He's certainly got the charm and looks to go along with it.
This hits all the requirements that I have for a tiny house...with one exception. There needs to be more space in the living area for a larger couch, and a chair. If that were corrected, it's a perfect floor plan. Get to work and make it happen! Maybe a steeper stairway??
Another comment was Jennifer is to put the entertainment center over there where the staircase is that way the other side would have a much larger area for a couch and maybe even a chair if you got one of those small sectionals that still good they've even shown them in some of these homes but you know it has a chaise, plus two cushions to one side so it's the perfect size for a tiny home anyway so I love everything about this but another client said switch the two and I agree that would make it absolutely perfect anything else is people just you know tweaking or wanting to complain LOL cuz this is really a perfect for $399 ft sometimes people forget that this is not supposed to be necessarily a permanent home this is a recreational cottage on Wheels to be able to move about so if you want to move or travel so a lot of people don't understand that I don't think but that I guess that's not my issue but that's why they you can't change certain things but the flipping of the two pieces of the living room yeah put the entertainment center over by the stairs that would make it absolutely I think my favorite now cuz I've got a couple that I really like and this this may have actually changing my mind I really like this model
People are actually buying tiny homes to live in full-time. I am planning on buying one in the near future to live in. This is the one that I plan on getting. I will be downsizing bcuz it will only be me and my dog living in it. I don't need anything bigger. The purpose behind buying a tiny home, which is an RV is to not have to pay real estate taxes on it. Just my thoughts. Have a great day.
WOW! This is a great floor plan! I love it. The bedroom is different, the kitchen is very unique, the laundry area is awesome, and storage is very good. Great concepts Mr. Tiny. It is a winner. If I was ready right now to purchase, this would be the one for me.
I am in loveeee with his tiny house! The cabinets, knobs, kitchen, and laundry room are lovely! If there was more living room space it would be absolute perfection!
"Mr Tiny" in my opinion, I think that the entertainment center should be on the side with the stairs since space is limited there. Putting the couch/chairs etc on the side where the entertainment center currently is would allow for a larger seating area. This would be my preference but otherwise as I stated in my previous comment this is the tiny home of my dreams. I do not refer to it as a house because it will be my home. I hope that you are having a wonderful day 😊.
I would customize the door to be a single with built in blinds located closer to the side where the entertainment center is..just to give more space for a small sectional ..also with a bunk space and a door in the master leading onto a 5ft back porch🤷🏾♀️
Love this floor plan, the spacious feel, u-shape kitchen, pantry, full tub in the bathroom, vaulted ceiling in the master, side by side laundry, cabinets, and large loft. Very nice!
"Hoo hoo" loves this floor plan besides me?!!? Love the colors, the kitchen and laundry...and a loft too!! This is on my favorite list for sure. Thanks Mr Tiny!
THIS BARN OWL IS PERFECT...I LOVE EVERYTHING....IN ADDITION TO CENTER LOFT.... GREAT FOR STORAGE AND OR FOR THE GRANDKIDS TO COME OVER FROM MY PERSPECTIVE IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL 399 SQ FT...THIS ONE IS INCREDIBLE‼️😁
Almost perfect; here is what would make it perfect. Full-size or small stackable washer and dryer. Turn that extra space into a large coat closet, so you can store broom, vacuum, shoes, coats, etc. You can even split it up, a small coat closet, and a small desk area to work from home. Doors are too big for the small space. Move the door all the way over to the TV stand. Single door; that way, you can add more seating on that wall.
I realize this was posted 2 years ago, but it might be my new favorite! I love the lower gray with upper white in the kitchen. Love all the pantry space and cabinets in laundry room. I’d screen in the front porch. I’d add a back door in the bedroom. I think my favorite part is the built-in are of the bedroom!
I would say that this is one of my favorites. I absolutely love the tub, laundry room, and the French doors. These are great additions to the tiny home floor plan for people like me who enjoy having a tub and a great side by side laundry space. I would want to see this with a walk-in closet in the master similar to the Cardinal. Thanks again for listening to your customers!!
My favorite part of this home is the beautiful French doors and all the windows! My all time favorite is still the CardinalWeed, but this one is very nice, too.
Mr. Tiny, I love you and I love your houses. They are my favorites. I have a dream of someday being in a tiny home community and my tiny home would definitely be one of yours. I don't know which one I like better the Cardinal or this one. I do love that side-by-side laundry area!
I have seen all of the videos you have made. I have to say this is my favorite floor plan (The Barn Owl). Everything flows well, there is plenty of storage and a bath tub. I can't forget to say that the color palette is perfect. Great job! The only thing I think I would like better is if the washer/dryer was stackable and a few more hanging closets in the extra space. This is a great tiny home!
