I'm doing a variation of this. I hate dealing with fine seeds I just threw some herb seeds all over because I honestly don't care what comes up where as long as something comes up. I don't want bare spaces in my garden
Check for animal tracks in the dirt. You would be surprised the animals that sneak up from the river into the city to feed. If there is a payoff, they will make the commute.
