I will probably sound crazy, but whenever I browse the pre-loved market I view it like I'm adopting a puppy, or something lol. I'll get the bag and then look at it with adoration like - 'you have a home now, you're safe'. I'm sure my bank account would prefer I view it a different way 😂

I adore my Gallieras. They are forever bags for me. Funny, I get more compliments on them than just about any bag in my collection. I bought my mono for myself for my 50th birthday from the boutique. Bought a nearly new DA a few years later. The plaque scratching doesn’t bother me. It’s an awesome quality bag that can take a beating.

I also like the pre loved and shocked how some people can let them get that bad . Lovely purchases, congrats! I really enjoy your videos! I recently got myself the azur key pouch as well. Brand new, for €160..! I couldn't believe it, especially considering it's now discontinued in this pattern and other canvas key pouches have increased to €260 in the last couple of years. Delighted with it 😊

I love my pre-loved azur Galliera pm! Have had it for several years. Wound up replacing the leather trim around the top bc it was so worn but now it’s the same color as the rest of the leather. Will never get rid of that bag!

Those are some great deals and the preloved details do make them easier to carry worry-free. I recently re-added the classic Speedy 35 in Damier Ebene after I let go of the bandouliere version I had a couple years ago. I’m so happy to have it back in my collection and I paid way less than half the retail price. I guess it’s true - if it comes back to you it was always yours, lol 😂

Ditto. I have had three Gallieras, two GMs and one pm. Sold them years ago because I was so anal about trashing them. Now 13 years later, wanted it again. Found one never used and I paid a lot but am happy with it. Carrying it and try to be careful but I am enjoying it this time. My favorite Louis ever!

I always wonder what people do to make their bag so dirty and beat up too! 😂 I like to keep everything I own pristine to make it last, so I just don’t understand why people wouldn’t do the same. Do you have the Real Real before photos? That would be a good comparison. Love the price and the cleaning you did! I do that for all my preloved bag purchases. I just bought a LV Eva for Christmas. The big plate like your Galleria was scratched and tarnished, so the price was discounted than most other places. I polished the plate and cleaned the entire bag and it looks brand new!! Love it! ❤

Hey Mini great pickups, I was incorrect about the SLG but I nailed the bag. I have the GM monogram Gal. And used to love it and use it all the time until someone ask me where I got my LV pumpkin ugh can’t unsee it now lol. With the wear I absolutely do the same thing I was looking at Japanese resellers today and I was like damn what do these people do with these freaking bags like trashed 🤣. Love both items, great finds! I know what you mean about wondering what people do to their bags, particularly with hardware that doesn’t have a function if you like, such as the plate on the Galliera. If there is no reason to touch the hardware (if it doesn’t serve as a clasp for example) how on earth do people get them so scratched up?! I’ve had bags for years with pretty much immaculate hardware if it’s just there for show and doesn’t need to be touched so to speak 🤔

I feel the same way; on the preloved market I want some kind of a deal! If it’s a mint condition limited edition item you can’t get anymore, I’d be okay paying a real premium. That’s about it! (The preloved market has gone bonkers. A beat-to-heck luxury bag with visible damage for like 10% off the price of new retail, when we’re talking thousands?! STOP buying these, people! We need to nudge the big resellers to move “used” item pricing back to a realistic realm. 🙄)

I had the leather and the plate replaced on my Galliera and LV only charged me 200.00. The bag looks brand new now

l was curious about getting some of the leather replaced so I inquired and I’m sad to say it’s now an arm and a leg. LV quoted me $1300 and that’s not even all the leather 😵‍💫 You got it done at the right time! ♥️

@Minks4All No. It's been fine. I don't push too hard . Then I wipe it with a microfiber cloth. If 😱 you can do the same with 100 💯 proof denatured alcohol instead with the windows 🪟 open or you're in for feeling a bit tipsy from the fumes 🍸!
