LOL. Sorry, don't hate me for laughing. I had a ball python latch on and wrap around me once. A tiny amt of hand sanitizer got her to let go pretty quickly.
Hope you’re alright mate, take care of that bite wound. I’m glad you kept that in the video, it’s quite a humbling experience. Beautiful geck! Great video.
@@Dakotahblueexotics I bet! I’ve been bitten by a relatively medium-sized wild blue tongue lizard, I’m a wildlife rescuer, oh boy it hurts. That tokay is massive, must have been so painful!
Dang that one came from the Gates of Hell 😮Very impressed that you kept calm until he finally let go. I was bitten by my gargoyle once after I tried to pick her up from the floor. Really sharp teeth and it hurt even though she let go right away! I can’t imagine how much tokay bites hurt! 😮
Animal owners are fun. You look for something spicier. I'm keeping mainly Tarantulas, Scorpions and the like and am looking into a reptile that doesn't have the ability to alter my general health in many detrimental ways lol A bite by one of these seems to be almost relaxing in comparison
Granted you jinxed yourself by complimenting on how chill he appears to be. He was definitely telling you he was ready for round two, when he was all smiley by the door after
If you are looking for tokay handling gloves I recommend going to home depot or Lowe’s and getting a pair of Milwaukee cut level 1 gloves. They’re basically beefed up latex gloves (not actually latex but rubber). You’ll still feel the bit but it won’t break skin. Used them for my girl when I was getting her use to handling. Highly recommend as they don’t restrict movement and the added grip is great if you got a squirmer.
I was having a stressful day watching my sisters and nephews for the wkd and I’m sorry but seeing that bad boy latched on maid me realize that the demon children didn’t draw no blood so thank you for the laugh and I hope that stud gets it done for you
I have a three foot Nile monitor. So far it won’t bite me but it does hiss and tail whip. When I pick it up it’s aggressive until I get it in my hands then it’s chill and smelling me and stuff and will walk over me. What should I do it calm it down
I have a Tokay that lives in my house even though I have put her outside 3 times - she keeps coming back. I have a small bungalow in Thailand, so I have quite a few smaller Geckos running around but I am scared of trying to pick up the Tokay. I say female because she is not really noisy unless I get close to her and she doesn't have a lot of color - female? Anyway, I want to try to tame her - hence, the RU-vid videos but I am not so sure if I can do it based on everything I am seeing about them.
