I wear Black Orchid in any weather. It's too beautiful to confine it to a weather. There is a difference, i still prefer the sexy of the original.

I blind bought 100ml bottle of this as well as soon as it appeared on the store. I absolutely LOVE it, it's still Black Orchid but kinda warmer and with that delicious plum and rum vibe into it... it's just amazing 🥰

I had a sample of Parfum and I let 3 different women smell it and ALL of them said it was a men’s fragrance. I can’t see it!

Girl, it is the best. Hands down. My BFF is a guy and he even agrees that the Black Orchid Perfume (gold edition) smells great on me. He says it smells smooth, lol. We went to the department store and tried every TF we saw, the poor sales girl was so patient and she knew her stuff. It's something to wear when you go out or when you want to feel like a rich sultry bi**h. The last notes smelled like a true orchid scent on me. I got it on sale for 15% off at Dillard's. Your explanation/review of the scent was 100% accurate. Now I know who to go to when I am interested in a new scent. It does have a slightly mature scent so you have to wear it with confidence. It is perfect for Fall/Winter.

when I was pregnant, I hated it but when I gave birth I was like how can anyone hate this. it's so nice and very good just that it stains. very true you will feel like going out

Yes that black orchid is nice but very strong and can be offensive to some . I love Strong’ scents. Have tried Portrait of a Lady . I think u might love the scent. I have to try the new one Thanks for the review . Blessings!!!

You are such a treat, girl I just love listening to and watching you...(yep, its the booziness - its like an 'old fashioned with brandy or cognac instead of whiskey & those bitters & the cherry, maybe a blood orange or slice-o-grapefruit eh? - yeah I know its rum - but hey - that lounge you are talking about really has the feel you are in a hot / cool jazz bar getting hit on by the sexiest person EVAH!) NEway I just love your genuine sincere effervescence. You just make me smile...ok maybe totally LOL. I legit have tried to love the original black orchid because so many people rave about it but I do have the velvet orchid because it added a feminine touch .. but I do understand why people love the black orchid- it’s def unique and great for those who don’t like commercial scents (even tho I do 🤣🤣) .

Girl, now I’m about to go buy the original as well 😭 I smelled it a few years back and it made me GAG! I stayed so far away from the TF line but recently smelled the Parfum for Black Orchid and fell in loooove. Now I’m excited to try smelling the rest of the line.

I agree there is a big difference...I was underwhelmed by the Parfum (gold). It wears different for me..The EDP (black) projects way more and last longer - which is weird because the Parfum (gold)should be more potent. If Tom is asking me for more money I'm not looking for subtle.

Sis you look great . I love the new one more i have both but i like the rum boozy note in new one . Its more oomph . I will pass on this for now but close to xmas i will get this i have overdone the black orchid thing and for now im tired of the scent cause i want to try others but i have a small of the new version just to have in arsenal and im waiting till close to end of year to drop on this new one . Ps i have had Black orchid black bottle since 2008 time for a new ! lol

Have you had the chance to smell anything from the house of Fragrance Du Bois? Id love to know your thoughts on Oud Jaune, Oud Orange, Oud Rose, Santal Complet, New York 5th Ave, New York Intense, Milano and Petals De Cashmere. I want to know your thoughts on them and see if they are worth the asking price. Maybe a video dedicated to the house discussing wich ones are worth it? The scent itself needs to be 8/10, the longevity needs to be at least 8/10, the projection needs to be atleast 7/10, and the versatility needs to be atleast 5/10 to justify the price tag. Thankyou!

Great comparison... I didn't know if my nose had matured, but a little while back i couldn't handle black or velvet orchid. (I still can't do velvet though i want to love its rum and honey) surprisingly, i now own the new black orchid. so they did make it so that it dies down and not stay a hype man all night like the original... ok! i'll have to spray a little heavier when going out because i did notice that the new one isn't as scary and loud as the old one.

I love Black orchid the OG .. the gold bottle is nice to but I passed on it because to me it was not much difference and I have a full bottle of the OG. So I ended up getting something else. But it is good .. great review as always .

Hello Darlin, thanks for sharing. At least it is not as pricey as Angelique Noire or Creed Royal Princess Oud. I like my fragrance to be like a light breeze, not a hurricane, So I will buy a sample and smell it first.

I had to watch this a second time. I received a sample of Tom Ford Black Orchid Parfum in the mail this morning. Omg this is soooo goood. And I was trying to figure out which one was I going to buy. And if it was necessary to have both. I agree. I haven't smelled anything that in 2020 that I would be in love with. Until I smelled this. This Is so good I'm confused😂🥰
