I'm 41 years old. I've been using and loving Clinique and Mac for 20 years. TBH I don't ever really follow what beauty influencers suggest on RU-vid 😬 I've been wearing makeup since (most) of them were wearing diapers 😂 but I LOVE your channel!
I love MAC and use it almost exclusively. People are definitely sleeping on MAC but it seems to be making a resurgence. I have the Connect in color palette in Kryptonite and it’s so pretty.
I should be embarrassed to admit that I have a Mac 9 pan since 2000! I used it for over 10 years straight. 😂 That little palette has done its time. Mac is awesome!
MAC still tests on animals. With so many cruelty brands out there now, they’re never going to be of interest to a large segment of consumers until they stop doing that.
The MAC Connect in Color 12 pan palette in Unfiltered Nudes is really nice. It includes Satin Taupe which, at least once upon a time, was a cult classic, and Cozy Grey, one of my favorite not-exciting-but-so-useful shades.
MAC has some beautiful matte singles. I'm on a no buy right now, except for replacing mascara every 4 months, but I'd love to try some of their singles when I use up what I have!

Mac is probably my favorite eyeshadow brand. I love their single shadows and their palettes, I have the connect in color unfiltered nudes palette such a good neutral brown palette. I have hit pan and repurchased eyeshadows several times. I'm glad you finally tried their eyeshadows

Several of your new items looked promising, & I’m truly shocked by the Florence by Mills stick style blush. That’s a brand that just hasn’t ever peaked my interest, but that shade on your cheeks in today’s video was positively superb. The funny thing is this eyeshadow look is my favorite look on you I've seen in a LONG time! I typically love your looks but there's something about this color combo and just look in general that bring your eyes out SO much and you just look so polished and beautiful!
Hi Jen, as always, thanks for the video. Very useful content for me! That MAC palette looks like a good value - 6 shadows in practical colors for $30. (Unlike some of the palettes you've reviewed that have several shimmery topper shades.) From what I've heard, MAC is generally a reliable brand. FYI, for those with sensitive skin like me, the Youthforia Date Night Foundation contains zanthoxylum piperitum fruit extract. This is *Szechuan pepper* !!! It's pretty far down the ingredients list, so there's probably just a dusting of it, but I wouldn't dare to use this product on my skin. Why, why, why do brands put things like this in their products?
You do great work, Jen! I've been following you since your "Budget Beauty Blog" days. For me, nobody does lip color better than Nyx. I cannot wait to order these new lippies. Every shade you modeled looks beautiful on you. I had also bought that Nyx holiday set with the 14 butter glosses and have really been enjoying it.
Jen that mac is so stunning. People of all ages love mac. I know my niece had a stunning high end wedding and similar look was used. I love a shine, but even all mattes are in and what a beautiful look. that blush!!!! Wow
I may be in the minority here, but I still use Clinique makeup. Their high impact mascara is still one of my absolute favorites. I love their foundation too

I know, different strokes, but that eyeshadow looks soooo good on you. Those softer burgundy tones are definitely made for your eye color. I already had my eye on those Nyx balms and I'm really happy to know that they are as good as I suspected!
“Back in the day” of RU-vid makeup (we’re talking 10-15 years ago, MAC makeup was ALL the makeup gurus were using. It seemed all other brands and products were compared to MAC. Over the years, all the other brands got turns in the spotlight and poor MAC kind of got booted off stage and has remained there. It’s weird to see the brand hardly get mentioned nowadays when that was so the opposite when the makeup world on RU-vid was in its infancy. I love to see it get recognized again.
Mac is my favorite eyeshadow because it's so easy to blend and is not patchy. I've been trying to catch the matte nude palette on sale before it goes out of stock. The mattes are also one of the few eyeshadows that don't accentuate the crepey texture of my eyelids.I also like the fact you can build your own palette. I used one yesterday. The pans are also cheaper when you buy them without the actual palette. I hate it when blush disappears! Tarte powder blush is the only powder blush that sticks around on me. The BOOM sticks also last a long time. Try the rose shade- it's beautiful! Also the Ciate Dewy Blush. It is totally gorgeous. I want to get another shade!! LOVE those fat oil sticks.
I have 3 of the Mac Connect in Color palettes. I love all of the ones I have. They are so smooth and blend themselves. I was so shocked that no one was talking about them. I think Mac isn’t popular on RU-vid but is very popular with the general makeup lover. I love the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lips, but I might try the NYX ones.
My best guess is that MAC doesn't get much love from influencers because it's an older brand, started in the 90s, I think. I'd guess lots of the influencers are too young to know much about it!!!

As a drugstore makeup lover, it pains me how much I want that Pat McGrath bronzer! LOL I definitely do not need another lip product, but those NYX ones are beautiful.
... if you want a blurring bb cream that doesn't settle, but smooths the skin, I can't recommend Purlisse Ageless Glow enough. I wear it with Nikkia Joy's velvet finishing powder, and the result is perfection. I'm 49, btw.

It's funny, back when I was first really getting excited about makeup MAC was all the rage. I bought a big 1 of those empty palettes and for some time bought quite a few of single shadows. They really do have some nice products.
I really love Christmas in your part of the Country. Please thank your son for us. I like the foundation and the bronzer and I can't see the yellow in the foundation. Most people I know in real life who love makeup have no idea about the online beauty community (at least not in my/our age range or even some younger) so just because something isn’t talked about so much online doesn’t mean people aren’t buying it. I have lots of conversations where I mention a RU-vidr or a viral product and people have no idea what I’m talking about. 😂
MAC was the OG! I have loved MAC since way back in the Z- pallet single shadow build your own adventure days, before RU-vid existed. I think we can all thank MAC for starting the eyeshadow pallet craze! 😂
