Thunder Mountain Raceway has not had a track record in 6 years or so, but Vanessa put her junior dragster into the record books for TMR August 12, 2012
Our track let us run an exhibition pass, no weight, no restictors of any kind, full out what can the car run at a "Night Under Fire" event, the car ran 6.964et @102.27 with a 60' of 1.496 ...it was gettin' it, some people you're right have no clue how quick these cars really are.
I been racing asphalt circle track since I was 7 years old I started out in a bandolaro going 90-100 mph on the bigger tracks and my home track running about 75-85 mph on a good night and we was ages 7-10 for the class I raced in I ran that until I was 9 then I started racing full size cars in a ministock with my mom I had a mustang 2.3 4 cylinder stroked out holly 750 double pumper on alcohol turning 9200 rpms around the track screaming I was the youngest that ever raced in a full size car at that track back then and won my first race in that car with only 10 practice laps. Yea these Jr dragsters are quick but there is faster racecars out there for really young kids like in oval racing
Why do you take so much time to make a pass? Do your burnout then stage it and run. It never ceased to amaze me how little Jr dragster people care about trying to get the program ran. Why do you need people out on the track in the water box? It makes like 30hp just run it.
It's all part of the 'dog and pony' show. I find the top fuel teams just as annoying. Do the burnout , line up and go. Instead you have to wait for the backup, the wheelie bar adjustments them wait for the hangers on to line up with their hands over their balls and then after the run, all the back slapping and high-fiving. Meanwhile everyone is cooking in their race suits wanting to do their run.
No better feeling on the world then hiding track records in any form of racing I have 3 track records in oval track asphalt racing one i set when I was 10 in my mustang ministock at a small quarter mile track and that was oin 2002 and it still has not been beat to this day cuse it was a unicorn lap perfect lap perfect car and all and the other two just got beat in pro latemodel and dirt modifieds I held those for 9 years till they just got broke cuse they changed the engine rules in the dirt modified class and they changed tires in asphalt pro latemodels which sucks but oh well I don't race anymore I'm 30 and quit 3 years ago
Um not a track record, as a father who also raced with his kids through 8 yrs of Jr's this is crap, they race to an index 7.90 and max speed of 85, you go over the speed or under the index run is voided and at most tracks will get a warning, if during eliminations will be DNQ immediately. A track record for a Jr is 7.90 0.0 light perfect package, most of us who know these car set them up to run consistent my son ran 7.80-7.82 over probably 100 runs and his reactions always under .01-.015 (pro stock reaction times)
LMFAO 😂😂😂😂😂 "about 6 or 7 seconds" you completely do not understand drag racing or racing in general making a stupid comment like that! One second (especially in drag racing) is a huge huge difference pal. I love it when grown men get butt hurt when a female clearly puts them in place by means of winning something! BTW where's your record breaking video? That's right you don't have one!
