Hi great channel. You show so mush respect to your grandfather and its brilliant to see and say hello to him. You should ask him to do a quick chat on something he loves about farming. Im a styre man and a massey man but lovely John deere and best of luck. Keep the good work up 🚜
Good man you went green you will not look back and those older jd are bullet proof better than the new ones we have today. Very best of luck to you and your grandad 👍...
The people I worked for at the time had a ford 5030 and 7740 full time fencing 5030 was brilliant 7740 was OK then got back to the yard one night and a demo 6210se was on the yard local jd dealer had just dropped it off having never dealt with them before it had 100hrs on and came with a quickie 940 loader on a 52 plate it went 3 years later with 3500 hrs on it only ever being on a post knocker. They still run john deeres today . Since setting up on my own I run a massey ferguson 3070 with massey 905 loader fencing been a very good tractor for me but I still would love a jd 6210. Hope yours is as good to you
Had one six years good tractor. 62 and 63 had the smaller stroke engine so I wouldn't be tempted to give it more power. Strongly recommend using JD transmission oil and their coolant definitely no water at all. Problems with it were back end oil getting creamy. Apparently not enough work in winter ie warming the oil to burn of the moisture in it. This can harm your power quad. Also sticky brakes small springs in the brakes can fail.
When changing gears 1- 4, the clutch isn’t needed but it is needed for the ranges A,B,C & D. A lot of people don’t realise this and use the clutch on all gears. Recommend using John Deere oil also
I was thinking as much, but the clutch definitely makes the changes smoother. I try without the clutch and theres a bit of a shunt to it. Maybe it takes a bit of getting used to. Nevertheless the powerquad is some way to go!! John deere gear & engine oil is it?
@@IDoAgri John Deere really should’ve put a sticker somewhere to show it. Yeah with wear and tear and the older the tractor gets, the gears can start to shunt but they can be matched up again. Yeah coming from an older tractor to power quad is nice especially with a loader. Also coolant instead of antifreeze
Congrats with the new tractor we used to have a 6810 we bought it brand new in 00 the hydraulic hitch always gives troubble on all the 10 and 00 series johndeer
Ya great machine well ware, we have one 12 years now with a loader, about 85 hp but can out pull a 130 landini on hills, no power quad in ours though, don't sit on the brakes too much, let her come back on the revs first or you'll end up having to do the back end....
Nice one, what sort of loader have you on it? It is a lovely yoke to drive and for pulling. Must see with a front loader on and give it areal test with mowing next year!
Well wear! Had a 2wd, grease point inside a spring for push out hitch, easily missed and can be a bit of a pain to free. Great tractor overall, 89 hp i think
Very nice tractor declan they are one of my favorite john deeres you should look at JR agri on youtube he has a john deere 6210 with a loader it might give you an idea of what loader will suit your tractor great vid 👌👌👍👍
You take excellent care of your equipment so I think any tractor you own will do a fine job. Happy for you having enough success on the farm to be able to smartly buy anything. Enjoy your success! Personally, I like John Deere equipment, but plenty of other good machines besides green. Glad you're Grandad is happy with the kit. Best wishes and blessings for your new tractor!
Good luck with the tractor Dec! You know I bleed red so I can’t give an opinion 😁. A tractor is a major decision. Did you look at the MF 6100 series? I love my 6180.
You won't regret buying mitas /continental AC70T in your current 520 70 r34 and 420 70 r24 size. We have them on a valtra a95 from New. 500hrs still a good 60%.best gripping tyres we have ever used. Not too dear. RD tyres in Fermanagh will do a very good price on them. We also bought them new for a mf 4360 in the 38 size and they are fantastic too. Make sure its the AC70T version as they have the very large lug. The ac65 are useless. We had them on another valtra. No grip.
I have a 6200, I love the tractor but the lifts give me some bother, never met a mechanic yet that knows what might be wrong with it but that doesn't put me off the tractor, enjoy and hope you have many happy hours in it !!.
@@makeitforfree6671 I think it's electrical, there a control box just outside the window and now and again I have to adjust it to get lifts up, it happens if I don't use tractor for a few days and once I adjust it it's fine. I got it replaced once but no good. Thanks for texting.
