Dan, I had no idea that you made Native American Flutes. This one on the video sounds really good. I've been playing NA flutes for several years now. My first flute was made by Coyote Old Man. It's probably my favorite. I'll definitely check out your available flutes.

I've been making flutes for a very long time. Love making and playing them. I don't "advertise" them because they sell so fast, usually before one is even completed it's sold and shipped. I will begin a Curly Maple flute after the first of the year, which I'm excited about and I'm currently making three Western Red Cedar flutes that should be done in early January.

I play the dulcimer and I’m wondering which key of a Native American flute would be best to play accompanying it? Also, I heard that you read the psalms, and then you play your flute. Have you ever written down your music to the psalms? Thanks in advance, Florence

A bm flute plays well with dulcimer tuned DAD. but a am flute is also a nice sound within the mountain dulcimer. I enjoy playing my flutes while I read through the Scriptures. I'm not a "write it down" kinda guy ... (too many years as a performing and studio musician i guess) I just like to let the music flow and go where it wants. Thanks for the comment and question. Be sure to communicate with your flute builder as to how you plan to use your flute I.e. which instruments you’ll be playing with and if you want A440 or A432 tuning.
