Triumph just announced two new models for 2025, the Speed Twin 1200 and Speed Twin 1200 RS. Along with more power and modern technologies they also bring a bit of controversial design choices with them and even kind of revive the not long gone Thruxton. McGregor tells you all we know so far.

All the comments on. The product videos are about lack of dual clocks. I have tbe same display on my Trident, it works well but for aure the Speed Twin dual clocks were great

Makes good business sense for Triumph as the Thruxton & Speed Twin 1200 were very similar bikes but sales of the sportier & better equipped Thruxton were relatively low compared to the Speed Twin. Now Triumph only has to produce one bike & buyers can almost make their own Thruxton from accessories. Nevertheless, as the owner of a Thruxton R with a fairing, no Speed Twin will ever look as good.

While I am glad to see improved performance, I don't like the whiz bang graphics of the new model. Part of the charm of the Speed Twin has always been its traditional appearance. It's like a classic Brit twin only with more modern performance. The new graphics make it look more like a typical 21 Century standard.

Great video! I like the upgrades with the exception of the new instrument cluster; I prefer the old dual clocks as well. I'm sure Triumph could easily combine dual clocks with a small tft to run the electronics, but the it probably wouldn't be very cost effective.

Terrible. More expensive for worst equipment for base model. And RS too aggressive for this type of bike. They could of put better screen fromother bikes at least. Essentialy triumph is trying to charge most price while investing least possible. Shame

My local triumph dealer shakes his head if you mention phone integration, just sees it as dangerous.

Nope , not excited about the new fuel tank shape , not excited by the graphics, really not happy about the crap dash . Looks like I’ll be getting the 24 model and fitting my own suspension upgrades. Triumph blew this one !

New more aggressive looks & 70’s tank graphics look amazing. Whole bike looks sharper. Should have Brembos on the 1200 even if not Styleemas

In the world drowning in LCD screens, a retro bike is the last place I want to see one. Kawasaki gets it. Throw the phone into the bag and enjoy simpler times.

I don't like my 2022 twin clocks, they are hard to read and use. I want an RS with the lower clip-ons and further rear pegs, I just cannot get sporty comfy on the upright 2022 it's like a chair when trying to get on the gas. It's only good for going casually because it's hard to hunker down.

I much prefer the new display. Or the front light. And love the position of the ignition barrel. Overall I think this is a very successful update done on the Speed Twin 1200

Triumph didn't read the room... It's obvious they have young kids in diapers making these horrible design decisions.. Everyone hates they got rid of the dual clocks and cheapened the newer model with cheaper parts.... I won't mention the hideous paint...
