I made a lot mistakes in the graphics this time! I really apologize! I mislabeled the waist to still say chameleos. It is the Valstrax Coil - Epoch! Dragon attack should be Thunder in the thunder build Teostra Blessing should be Kushala in the Water build Updated graphics are on my twitter! Fire + Water : twitter.com/aifritgaming/status/1625152301588529153 Thunder + Ice: twitter.com/aifritgaming/status/1625152420236955649 Dragon: twitter.com/aifritgaming/status/1625152461919907840
For raw status it's still really good. For element there will still be a few match ups where power phial is good to use but it's changed more towards element phials now for sure.
It seems to be pretty hard to fit comfort skills into this build. I haven't managed to put together a switch axe build I am happy with. For example your builds still lack full speed sharpening, flinch free, defiance
Yeah one slots are really tight around element builds, especially in fire ice and water. I've barely fit enough wirebug and prolonger after augments. The dragon conversion builds just can't really fit it those without sacrificing a lot unfortunately.
They're other ways to get those skills without needing to equip said skill. Flinch Free: Centering Dango lv.1 is just the same as Flinch Free lv.1 Defiance: Gonna assume it's to mostly to deal with roars or maybe defense so you can just bring a Fighter Palico (Rowsing roar I think it's called) with Power dum (Which also gives 30% crit so that's nice too) Speed sharpening: You can get Wetfish or Great wetfsh which is basically lv.2-3 speed sharpening. There is also a Dango version but It's random on how many sharps it takes so I don't recommend it. You can also return to camp/subcamp with fully sharpens your weapon and heals you by just going in and out (You can also restock items so it's really a win-win) Spiritbirds call: I think the Dango "Chirp Chirp" dose the same and gives even more than the skill if at level 4.
I mean...I have -20 water res on one of my sets so a Mizu water beam One shot me with max health (w/some health Spiribuffs too) so it's not completely a non drawback
Happy to report back that I finally got the 3 points in Furious. So to maximize the effects of Furious + Dragon Conversion, you start by aggroing the monster in red scroll to build up Furious then when its activated, switch to blue to build dragon conversion's elem resistance then switch back to red, right? Or how is this best used?
You do not need to build up furious. So you can start in blue scroll get the elem resistance buff then switch back to red. At that point you’ll be good for the rest of the hunt unless you cart. You can even go in the tent!
I run max dragon heart, dragon converse along with 1 level of frienzy bloodlust, bloodlust l, colenances and wind mantle with comfy skill max evade extender with bladescale i have other nice skills but those are my primary ones on a four piece risen valstrax and risen kushala arms
i have a question because of the dragonheart+Dragonconversion combo. Doesn´t this only work with dragon weapons because dragonheart gives you dragonblight?
Wow, to think that the Lagombi SA would ever eclipse the Kushala one, especially considering how many monsters with good Ice hitzones (20+, so it triggers Element Exploit) have those same ones being good raw hitzones (45+ so it triggers Weakness Exploit), such as: Rajang's head (65 cut/30 Ice, same for Furious) Diablos' abdomen and tail (65/25 for abdomen, 50/20 for tail) Great Wroggi's entire body (75/40 for head, 50/40 for the rest) Lucent Narga's head (55/20, 65/25 when broken) Seething Bazel's head and tail (64/25 for head, 70/25 for tail) Zinogre's neck+back (45/25 when not charged, 70/30 when charged) Espinas' head, abdomen and tail when enraged (65/30 for head, 60/25 for abdomen, 50/20 for tail) Rakna-Kadaki's head when it's extended (60/20) The only hitzones that proc Element Exploit for Ice without also procing Weakness Exploit are: Rakna-Kadaki's claws (20/30) Lucent Narga's cutwing (21/30) But I guess the massive amount of extra element from Element Phial and Element Exploit along with the higher base raw allows it to surpass Kush's. It's nice to see a weapon from such a low-threat monster suddenly shoot to the top of the meta.
Yeah, took a while for element to creep up and finally take a huge leap this update to make the element phial make the difference. I think kush gets closer if the build fits in more raw skills but the DC version kind of can't. The chaotic gore strife dereliction set kush could be better for lucent or seething.
who would win? one of the 2 ice elder dragons in the game? or a stupid rabbit uncontested only because he's the only bearer of the awesome elemental phial?
It depends a bit on combination of MR and AR. Decorations shouldn't be _too_ lacking but MR will determine whether or not you can leverage the risen valstrax set.
Sadness 🥲 When other weapons got a huge boost in dps with TU4 (Like at least +300 for every single move) SA stayed almost the same, I can't see much of a difference in dps compared to TU3 comfort builds 😞
While not like great sword and charge blade I do feel like overall damage has gone up at least 10% or so. The damage has shifted into the phial bursts at least for element builds. While individual hits have gone down, the phial damage added is pretty insane from TU4.
grinded my way to 160 master rank, got to 120 afflicted rank rdy to do some sick shit and then find out i need like 200 afflicted rank to make some decos /cry
@@AifritGaming really is =/ had 1 question, with the thunder build am i only ment to get to white sharpness? also thanks for the builds i love comfy swaxe
@@Gorhowl ah I believe this is because the 8th augment slot gives 10 sharpness so until you get that you’ll need to put in handicraft or augment sharpness.
Intrepid is just comfy to have and not critical to the build at all. You can simply put in whatever other 1 slot skill you like. Personally I would fill it with a grinder speed sharpening decoration but other good choices could be spiribird's call or defiance.
Every 4 element you get will give you 1 additional element assuming you aren't capping any resistances. You might cap dragon because of the build in dragon resistance. Probably still best to get a skill but if it's pair with some extra element res then that's a bonus.
So do you have any info on whether doing the basic augment or skills+ yields better results? What do you recommend? Really close to perfectly replicating this build and just wanted to ask before i start rolling. Thanks!
So the main difference is that skills+ will always subtract a skill from the armor but also always add a different skill. As a result skills+ is much more likely to give you furious since the basic augment does not always add a skill. However if we’re talking the best results, basic has the chance to give you furious without removing any skills (Likely at the cost of defence and element resist). So Skills+ will give the quickest results at a cost but basic can give it without removing a skill at significantly worse odds. I tried going basic and it cost me about 800+ attempts but I may have been particularly unlucky. And even still the basic augment I eventually got took out a skill anyway. So risk is up to you! Hope this helps!
Aifrit, I just want to know if I'm actually dealing both status to a monster regardless wyvern or elder. I use SA, my equipment is the full Omnyo set with shifting decos and SA accordingly. If I have a Poison SA and I slot in a 4slot Exhaust or Blast, am I inflicting both status to a monster? Like Poison and Exhaust for example and my foray is maxed with chameleoua blessimg
This might sound dumb to you guys. But I'm confused. So if I were to make multiple sets (for each element), do I have to create multiple pieces? Even if, say, fire set and thunder set both use same hat, chest, waist and feet? So do I make 2 valstrax helms for each set?
@AifritGaming if I'm allowed to ask a follow up question, so say I only have like 3 crit jewels. And I make a switch axe set and put them in there. But then I make a lance set that needs 3 crit jewels, would I need to make another 3 or can I use the same ones and just load the equip loadout? Or would i have to add them each time i switch loadout sets? I'm asking cause I'm having trouble with the apex rathalos for the material. Sorry if this is stupid.
@@sinnerslight no worries feel free to ask! You do not need to create 6. The load out will automatically set the decorations as you had them including removing them from another piece of armor.
I forgot about furious and threw away a bunch of them 😭 augmentation is both good and very annoying. I worked through augment to see what I am getting and I got element exploit and 2x1-slots. I was planning to give it to my waist so I have 4level slots and 2 2-slots on the waist with elem exploit and atk up. I came back a day later and gave it to a leg instead which have overall worse result because I ended up having 4-4-1 slot and I already got bloodlust on other piece of legs. And I never rolled a skill with 2x1 slots ever again to give it to a waist lol😂 Btw I thought phial switch boost only work for power phial? Was I wrong?
Yeah, I nearly bankrupted myself on zenny going for furious lol. You definitely get more damage with power phial and phial switch boost. However the effect still works on element phial in a similar way. The amount of element damage on sword morph slash is increased beyond the 45%. In addition the axe morph slash receives the +45% element. With element this high it's gotten a little bit better this update.
@@AifritGamingoh I see that is interesting! I will do another pure element build now. It seems like raw and crit is less important atm. A build I made still try to reach atk 7 and 100% crit so I was using kush rampage skill (15 crit) I made so many valx armor now. I think I have like at least 3 copies of each of them 😂 it’s like oh this is good I should keep it and never use it at all in the end.
@@AifritGaming Hey do you have any builds that are not sun break stuff its because xbox doesn't have it yet like these builds are cool but i cant use them
@@sonicmarioplant7738 Hello, sorry unfortunately my channel started after Sunbreak so I don't have any old content for those builds. But perhaps I can get something made for those like you new on console.
@@AifritGaming im hoping sunbreak will come out early on console so i can use these builds but do you know any channels that have good builds for non sunbreak
@@sonicmarioplant7738 In base Rise I used Fox Invictus' channel for some info on builds. There's a lot to scroll through but hope you can find something!
Yeah, so element has simply increased by so much that it's shifted the priority of skills. The increase can be almost 80-100% more than before. Typically we do have to compare to raw skills but these new skills just add so much and element phials scale this significantly since they increase element damage by 45% along with other things like element exploit and the blessings.
@@AifritGaming so if I was able to create a build with element attack7 element exploit 3 and burst 3 would it compete with dragon conversion? I really hate scroll swap skills
@@Notme-rd2xz So if you just run dragon conversion without the swap it’s still pretty good. Though might not be competitive. For something not dragon conversion you can try my previous TU3 crit builds with attack boost 4. The new augments should still raise the element pretty high.
You get 4 element for each hard res. The builds have the element attack decorations which make a much bigger difference if that’s what you mean. But for these builds, adding the hard res is not really worth it in my opinion.
So, the main reason I chose gold rathian over risen valstrax arms is that burst is more valuable than crit boost. It allows the build to just run the level 4 chain deco without need to take up another 2 slot. That's the main subtle difference between the two. The two gloves are basically equivalent otherwise in terms of amount of skills they provide you.
