A view of new (tight clearance) Kolbenscmidt bearings. rear is already in, front being installed on 1982 1.6D Volkswagen engine block using custom machined bearing drivers.
That looked like a special tool, built just for the VW engine. I've never seen one like it before. I use an old intermediate shaft and masking tape to drive them in.
