I'm absolutely going to start using "responsibilities" instead of "chores" with my kids today!! When you say it aloud it really does take the negativity off of it!♥️
CarolinaGrace cleaning has been proven to boost endorphin levels in the body, naturally making us feel good and helps to spur you on :) it helps me too when I’m feeling anxious.
How is my life better in this pandemic: my second son was born 4 days ago and today we decided that we were going to have a “bed day” (or at least a “bed morning”) so the 4 of us could spend some time literally in bed, resting and eating and sharing. On any other given day this would have sound crazy and a waist of time to me, but today I actually feel so grateful I get to spend this time with my boys (hubby and 2 kids) together in bed which would not have happened otherwise. Thank you so much for your videos! They are soul filling
I love what you said about once you start cleaning the motivation of “who can finish, you can.” Is great because I felt the same way yesterday when I finally started to clear out my extra bedroom that I’m gonna be using as my office/craft area it was the first time that I actually felt really motivated to finish something. I’m not 100% finished because I have to add furniture but it was still a really great feeling .
I love your honesty and positivity. "Instead of dealing with it, I shoved it all in this room and shut the door". I think everyone can relate to that feeling, I definitely know I can. But the best part about your video? You did not talk down to yourself. You were simply honest and then did something to fix the problem. I loved that!
Thanks for always being REAL here, Kathryn! I've been a fan of your channel for a Long time and really appreciate your videos. It's definetly a bright spot on my day! God's blessings to you!
My almost 5 and 3 year old boys do a lot around the house. They help load the washer and dryer, help vacuum, wash windows, glass and baseboards, clean their own rooms and always tidy throughout the day with me. They clean the table after meals, let the dog out when he needs it, and so much more. It isn't a chore for them, it's more habit. They enjoy the clean and organized as much as I do.
Yay, I'm not the only one who loves the smell of vinegar when cleaning! I may have learned the microwave tip from you a while ago and yes, it is the absolute best way to keep the microwave clean! I have slowly been cleaning our catch all room too and it has been so rewarding! Thanks for the tips!
I love the guest bedroom. It was almost a room makeover:) The pandemic has made me anxious. Staying busy does help though. Owen's quarantine haircut:))
As I'm watching this video, I have the SAME meal in my crockpot! Until I found your channel 4 years ago I was super resistant to the idea of "zone" cleaning. But you made it seem so easy and make so much sense. I LOVE zone cleaning; such a game-changer in my daily routine. Thank you so much! God bless you and your family. Stay healthy! 😁
When you said, “I shoved it all into this room, and shut the door” it definitely hit home. My guest room has been my “catch-all” for a long time. I need to get to the cleaning. Thank you for the motivation! 💜
My husband and I finally cleaned out a closet in our home that was full of things that needed to be sorted! And I slow and sluggish at first but once we got started seeing things go where they needed to go it felt great! And we've felt motivated to get into all the other areas around the house! Thanks for the motivation, also I love love love all the decor in your house! Beautiful home!
Thank you for sharing your real life clutter and how you just didn’t feel like dealing with it! I’ve felt like that and to know others do as well makes me feel like I’m not alone! ❤️
Your voice...ugh..I could listen to it 24/7. It's so soothing and uplifting, regardless of what you are talking about. Great video. Definitely provided lots of motivation. ❤
Cathrine, you are such an inspiration to me. I love watching your videos and hearing all your tips and tricks for everything around the house. I’ve been watching your channel since this pandemic started which has given me much more motivation to actually clean and organize which I’ve been putting off for way too long. Thank you for being a light in this dark time. Hugs to you! And God bless you too!
I’ve liked the idea of letting my toilet brush drip dry like that, but after the third time of walking away from it only to have various family members drop it back in the toilet, pee on it, etc, I decided I’d save that hack for 10-20 years from now. 🤣🤣
I love your videos ! Your positivity, your sweet spirit and real ness encourages me. Reminds me that as a mom I’m not alone in this and that no one is perfect. But that’s okay. We can finish what we start! Thank you 💜
Oh, I'm laughing so hard right now and remembering happy times!!! My son used to put things in my water all the time!! Legos, matchbox cars, little Batman, little Star Trek Generations figures, dandelions and the best one was pretty rocks. :) Owen gave me a wonderful giggle and brought back some happy memories of when my 30 yr old son was his age. Thank you Owen!! :)
I love your videos and how open and honest you are . I watch so many different people on RU-vid but you’re videos inspire and motivate me every time I watch any of your videos and I’m at a point in my life that I really need your uplifting spirit. Thank you so much for everything you do ❤️
Enjoying your videos when they are popping up. Im home with 4 kids & hubby is away on deployment. Its been a long few months but i love your videos they keep me smiling & motivated. Thank you xx
You nailed it yet again my friend. Sometimes it is ok to just shut the door. Your spare room actually looks like mine! I’ve been dragging my feet on that and have just put in 10 min here and there to clean. Thank you for giving me motivation to actually tackle it.
I just love you, your family and your videos. They are full of inspiration and motivation...stay healthy and safe and things will be back to “normal” soon! I appreciate you!
Thank you So Much for All the Inspiring Videos. I'm going through a Tuff time lately being Diagnosed with Auto Immune Disease. Doing these Crafts makes me Forget about my Symptoms for a While. Your the Best,
You are awesome!!!! My house is chaotic every day and the house looks like a tornado went through it!! I have 4 kids and your videos always help me think of ways to organize or a solution to a problem I've been having. I love your dollar tree idea videos! My life is basically being quarentined anyways because I don't go out unless my husband is with me to help with the 4 kids. So its weird for me because I don't feel any extra stress other than the e-learning stuff.
I've been watching the Minimal Mom for a while now and I love her! I clean my microwave by putting water and the juice of one lemon (and then also just putting the lemon itself in the bowl), microwaving for three minutes and then letting it sit for five more minutes. I have yet to find anything that cleans as good as this! And if you have stubborn stains or stuck on gunk in the microwave, just dip your cloth/rag into the lemon water.
I have a guest bedroom that looks practically the same! I can totally relate! Thanks for showing us that it’s not perfect all the time and that is okay!❤️
My daughter's chore is to keep the vehicles running. She is a mechanic. In this house we have been deemed essential workers. My husband is a heavy equipment operator, my daughter is a diesel mechanic, and I am a lunchlady (we still make food for the kids to send out).
Guest room/craft room is awesome!!!! Good job!! Thanks for the vinegar tip, I’ve got a date with a microwave. We are doing alright, gardening this week! Stay healthy and safe!!
Wow you got a lot done. I’m going to try and do better tomorrow. My three younger grandchildren have chores. The last chores of the day are the 8-11 year old help put chickens and ducks back in the coops while the 6 year gathers up all the kitties and brings them in for the night.
I only use vinegar and water and baking soda to clean with to keep everything natural. Dollar Tree also has new little essential oil rollers to carry in the purse. If you take the roller off you can add a few drops to the vinegar spray to keep it smelling good.
Hi Kathryn!! Wow!! I just loved this ultimate clean with me!! You are awesome! The guest bedroom looks amazing now!! The craft cubes and the pretty desk and chair made a huge difference. I just love it!! Great job on that clean up!! Also, bathroom and microwave clean up were similar to recent Martha Stewart tips. She used alcohol to disinfect toilet brush and container. Love the brush between the bowl and seat, to dry. And a wedge of fresh lemon in a bowl of water, heated in the microwave for 2 minutes,,and let sit five minutes. Then wipe with damp cloth. Lemony fresh!! Love Carson sorting socks!! Little chores teaches them purpose, at home!! Great jjob!! Have a nice Wednesday!! Can't wait to shop Dollar Tree, in May!!
I have a Shark Cordless. It is so light weight that my grandkids love using it, especially the youngest. They would get mad if they did not have an area to do -LOL. The youngest starting vacuuming when she was 3 with the Shark. Now at 5 she is really good. You might consider this for your boys!
Hello! I loved this video. It will be one I watch many times over for inspiration! I have run the gamut of emotions during this pandemic. Frustrated and angry over what this disease is doing to small businesses, restaurants and our nation's economy, and then I see the other side of it and how hospitals are scrambling to help those affected! Have we over or under-reacted? On my home front, good things have happened. Meal planning and eating at home. We throw away almost nothing in the way of food. I have deep-cleaned areas of my house that were "rooms of shame" . I cleaned and reorganized master bathroom drawers, closet and under the sink. I have made serious headway-- thanks to your inspiring videos!!!! I have a long way to go, but who can finish what I have started? I can.:) lots of love! Hope-full in Hope, Indiana.
My husband doesn't like the smell of vinegar so I use a lemon when I clean the microwave :) Thank for for the motivation, got up an hour before my kids today to get caught up on cleaning, and boy does it feel great! :)
This was much needed. Some how watching you relaxes me....lol. Every time I see those pink bins i wince a little. I wish I would have gotten them when they came out. Its one of my colors.
Our little kids have been gone since school let out in March. Since then we've been throwing everything in their room and closing the door. So don't feel bad your not the only one.
Fellow CLT woman here.... I love your videos. You always make me feel better! Hope we do the same for you. Just a breath of good vibes and love your videos - every single one of them (and I'm a grandma and still enjoy them). You are so real. My fav RU-vidr !
Thank you for such great videos. I live in a small apartment and clean quickly, now with this pandemic I get anxiety finding things to do in the long hours of no job and no income 🥴😬
I let me kids unload the dishwasher. They couldn't put away in upper cabinets but they would take and put on the counter right under where it belongs. Very helpful and they learned where everything went early on.
For the microwave I sometimes use water and lemon juice even some times i throw the lemon in half in the cup, same 2 minutes and ready to clean, by odors, by stains just with passing a cloth
I have a storage room in my basement (nothing fancy! Concrete walls and a concrete floor!) that is like your storage room. No matter how many times I declutter it and organize it - it quickly falls apart again! I'm feeling your pain lol!
I LOVE this video! I’ve been lacking the motivation for a few rooms that need serious de clutter/organization... thanks for keeping it real and showing that it is possible to get through it! Hope Charlie is getting stronger every day!!
very nice thnx for sharing your amazing tips. For microwave I just put cup full of water and microwave it for 2 mins then leave microwave door closed for 5 mins and after 5 mins u open ur microwabe and clean with paper towel and ur microwave will be clean.
I have missed your clean with me videos! They are very inspiring to me, and I love putting on a playlist of your vids and cleaning, I appreciate you ❤️
My three year old daughter has mastered folding pants, towels and blankets. My eight year old son can wash the clothes and dry them, I put stickers on the settings he needs to use so he knows where to turn the dial to.
I love love your videos their inspirational and motivating I listen to them while cleaning myself especially when I don't want to do anything I pop on new videos throwing an earbud and listen to one of your videos or several and before I know it my task is done. 💕😁
I love this! I tried the Norwex dust mitts, but decided they weren’t for me. I’m 5’1”, & there are just too many places I have to dust that are beyond the length of my arms! 😂 That’s why I also hate making beds that are against the wall! I have to pull them out, so I can walk around them! Your videos are inspiring! I also love to listen to music while I’m cleaning. 😊❤️
I place half a lemon in a bowl of water and microwave for 3 mins. Smells great and melts off stickies so I can wipe clean. Then take lemon and water and pour down garbage disposal to freshin it!
Im stuck at home, some days Im doing ok, but some others Im super stressed out since Im a small business owner and if I dont work I dont get any magical government income as in some countries. mu husband worked till last week and now he was sent home, so things are getting really tense for us. Its been 40 days in quarantined and we still have at least 3 weeks of extra quarantine, so Im not sure when Im gonna be able to get an income, and thats a huge source of stress. Ive been following you for a while and your videos always make me feel motivated, Im just taking one day at the time and hoping for the best. Please stay home if you can guys!
I ALWAYS get inspired watching you.💗 Thank you for this episode. I will finish what I started. 😍 I only wish your great tips where around when my children were small. Our Blended Family of 9 adult children & their spouses. We've had 32 Grand kids & 2 on the way. We now have 1 Great grand baby & we are also godparents to 4 children. We are very blessed 🙌 I love how your two little boys play and help out finding sock mates and help with putting away toys. When my kids were small they all helped to do chores, we lived on a farm. One of my boys used to make coffee for me & I called him Mr. Coffee. Another boy loved to help vacuum so I called him Mr. Novak. One of my other son's loved to clean so his nickname was Mr. Clean. Everyone helped out! As for me, years later I'm still learning to declutter and get more organized. it's difficult when I've lost my dad and I have some of his stuff I've lost my husband's parents and a couple aunts and inherited their things. Then I seem to always pilot here and pilot there. I mean: Pile it here & Pile it there!!😲 😁 Thank you for all your wonderful videos, and your sweet, cheerful servants heart. Please do some more songs on your piano and sing😘 it always inspires me. May God Bless you!💗😇
The pandemic really gets me going I explored so much of myself and who I am(especially with finally beeing happy after a breakup in November) in the last 6weeks of not beeing able to work. Im listening to soo much more music an have found so many amazing musicians. I keep my sanity by allways dressing like I'm working (so it's a no for Pyjamas) and I love to do my makeup so I do it every second day. I tryed so many new looks and I'm finally able to do a verry quick eyeliner in just a minute. Practice is everything. The only thing im struggling is with spending most of my time in my bed. I have a verry small room and the only places to sit is my bed or my desk. So I spend hours in my bed every day...
Everything looks very pretty, where did you get the little desk , love it. I garden and can food so I stay busy a lot. I cleaned 2 closets two weeks ago last week cleaned and organized the pantry. Feeling fresh and getting things done. Love you have a garden. I always say growing something, vegetables it’s not hard . It’s Enjoyable. Have a Bless Day
