Starting with the artifact sets. We know that Hoyoverse always releases two new artifact sets at the beginning of every region. For reference, we got the Deepwood Memories and the Gilded Dreams set in version 3.0, and the Golden Troupe and Marechaussee Hunter set in version 4.0. We are all set to get two new artifact sets in version 5.0 as well.
We don't know the names of the artifacts yet, so I'm going to call them the first and second sets. The first set: whenever a character enters a certain state called Night Spirit, the 4-piece set increases their damage and also boosts the crit rate by consuming Night Spirit. We don't know much about this Night Spirit thing, like how it works, but it must be something like the Bond of Life effect.
Moving on to the second set: when a team member enters the Night Spirit state, it restores energy and triggers a reaction that increases damage for the character equipped with this set. It seems like this Night Spirit thing will play a huge role in Natlan, so are we saying goodbye to the Bond of Life? Well, it's too early to say anything, so I'm going to move on to the characters.
But before that, keep in mind that the names I'm going to tell you in this video are translated from Chinese, so I don't know if they're accurate or not. Alright, starting with the Hydro 5-star character. Her name is Mualani, or Marani, however they pronounce it. She's going to be a Hydro Catalyst user and a main DPS. According to early data, she's on the same level as Neuvillette, probably better.
I know it sounds absurd, but it's really true. If they don't nerf her in the beta, she'll be on the same level as Neuvillette. I know Neuvillette is a Hydro sovereign, so he's supposed to be stronger than normal characters, but that's in the lore. Hoyoverse can create stronger characters than Neuvillette, and they don't have to be sovereigns of anything like that.
Moving to her kit information. Her elemental skill is also said to enhance her normal attacks, which means that there's a possibility that her kit revolves around normal attacks. There's this thing called homing projectiles which must be part of her kit, and she gains damage reduction if homing projectiles hit three or more enemies.
Her first constellation, when fully stacked, gives additional HP scaling to her normal attacks and the homing projectiles I just mentioned. Her second constellation enables her to stack some sort of mark after absorbing sourcewater droplets. Yes, the same sourcewater droplets that Neuvillette and Sigewinne use. Additionally, the sourcewater droplets are generated after hitting opponents under the Night Spirit state with normal attacks, and they will be absorbed automatically, so you don't have to run around collecting them. Absorbing the droplets restores the Night Spirit state as well as her HP.
Her C4 increases elemental burst damage, while her C6 gives every single normal attack the HP scaling effect, which was previously only accessible through triggering her C1. One more thing: her shark surfing skill consumes the Night Spirit, and it consumes more when we are not in Natlan. I know some things are hard to understand, but this is early beta information, so it's subject to change. I'll make a separate video about her, discussing her kit, so there's no need to scratch your heads.
Moving on to the Dendro 5-star character. His name is Kinich, and he will also be a main DPS unit. His kit revolves around burning and bloom reactions, and according to recent info, Emilie can amplify his damage, so good luck if you're planning to pull for Emilie. Moving on to his kit: after casting his elemental skill, he rotates in the air and fires shells, as we can see in the latest Natlan teaser.
When you cast his skill once, he fires four shells in ultimate limit situations, and he also fires shells when the Night Spirit accumulates to a certain level. Moving on to his talents and constellations: his first talent increases his shells' damage by a certain amount. His C1 increases his shells' crit damage, while his C2 decreases the dendro resistance of enemies.
His C6 is somewhat interesting; according to the info, his C6 turns his shells into catapults, which is very interesting because, if I remember correctly, there are only three characters who use this sort of stuff. Mika uses a crossbow, Chevreuse and Clorinde use guns, so it'll be something similar.
