It's a step in the right direction on improving logistics within the company, but they really need to focus on training the employees and hiring people that know what they're doing. There's too many inconsistencies with grading and how they fit cards in slabs now. It just seems like they're just slapping a random number on the majority of cards and the cards just bouncing around in the slab from so much empty space around the card is such an eye sore. Show more professionalism and care into slabbing up these cards instead of just pump and dumping out orders.

They 100% have started adding fees to your grading if they have a card that goes to a higher price tier.

The fact they up charge for grading a valuable card clearly shows bias towards grading potentially pricey cards higher. Real shame PSA has basically become the standard for grading to maximize value.

Up charges are ridiculous. Just because of the value of the card… so what… sounds like PSA is charging for higher grades.. pay to play

I would never ever grade with PSA, it’s a grading company for flippers. I’m a collector. Plenty of other grading companies, I would use if I was to grade a card.

psa will never be able to determine if a card is been cleaned as long as you wipe it down properly after applying the wax or spray. And as for the "legal" action its all bs. Maybe be consistent with your grading and we wouldnt have to worry about cleaning our cards.

What are you supposed to do with thick cards? How do you put those safely into a card saver without damaging the corners

1. The fact you had PSA president on your show and you're defending PSA now is not a coincidence 2. Gee let me send my 180 PT thick card in a freaking 10 PT card saver that's smart 3. PSA has turned around your card in less than 2 days yay! Except it's damaged from thier automated machinery. Are you kidding? PSA loves charging high for quicker turnarounds it's part of thier business sales model. They do not have any incentive to turn around cards faster for the $20 we pay on each one. They're only willing to do so when you pay that $200 premium for that time you save.

PSA shouldn’t be up charging people simply because a card’s value is high. PSA thinks they are invincible. If people started a boycott against them, they would stop robbing people. Wemby autos will become watered down with that product.

Unchanging in the first place is ridiculous. I send in a card and agree to cover insurance for whatever amount at that time. If something happens to it, it's my own fault for not buying the better package. If you are a "non biased" 3rd party, the after market price of my card should not matter to you.

What happens when the semi rigid card machine damages your cards?

There is no bigger scam in collecting than grading fees, especially with PSA.

Upcharges are fine for wealthy people. However upcharges up to $500 if you have a limited amt. of income to invest in getting your cards graded.

PSA taking pages out of Panini and Topps books... Furthermore PSA should be required to flim the whole grading process ect. To CYA there customers. Not a fan of auto-processing of cards using a "machine". Ever see paper jams in a printer? Don't want that to happen to my favorite cards.

It's bad enough Topps cards still making mialigned cards, miscuts on thier borders and reversing. Why do you think these grading companies are giving lower grades on a 10 PSA, it goes down to a 8 or 9, where does this leave card investors and hobbyists? The price of Topps cards now PSA going up, not the consumers fault. I use the Ultra-Pro's these do not allow penny sleeving because of the smaller opening, I also us white dust free gloves, never touch any of my cards that I want graded. P.S. what about dinged corners that come from hobby and monster boxes?

I’ve never understood the upcharge for a card that’s more valuable. Grading a common takes the same work as grading a T206 Wagner

Not super thrilled to hear about PSA fees. People are going to get hit with “hidden fees” and get really mad, especially average collectors who mainly want to protect their cards. This is a change in priorities away from collectors and focusing on bulk orders from big dealers. Also this new technology is going to result in damaged cards. Running a paper based product through a machine will always result in a jam and damaging a card, so can’t wait to hear when it destroys a million dollar card. I will buy a graded card from someone, but don’t think I will submit things to PSA anymore.

I've been collecting cards since 1968 and I'll be damned, if I need some kid at PSA to tell me what condition my card is,, I have 56 years experience in grading cards, and I never charged a penny! And I'm way more accurate and consistent.

I had $200k in the bank and sent 500 cards to PSA. 6 weeks later, i'm now $85k in debt.

CGC is superior in every way. Got away from PSA a while ago and I'm 100x happier!

The only fallacy about the Steakhouse/up charge example is that the collector is sending in his card for grading that may have been owned for 30-49 years. The steak and the sides are owned by the restaurant until purchased. The restaurant had to purchase the steak & sides, and can charge whatever they like etc, etc. The grading company didn’t do a single thing over the last 30 years to help with my collection, sort, protect, etc, yet the grading company get a piece of the value of my collection, period. I have an extensive 30-40 year old collection of MJ, Emmitt, Bird, Tiger Wood, premium rookies out the wahoo. etc. But to get an up charge based on the value of a card just seems unfair. A flat fee for the grade of a card, understood, but not the value. Again, am I missing something. Thanks for any clarification.

What will the expectation around thick cars and one touches? Card savers will screw up the edges on thick cards.

PSA did a variance analysis and realized they were getting crushed on a monthly basis (actuals vs. budget) EBITDA probably down big YoY. Rubin and Topps will cut heads

Personally I disagree with up charges but the bottom line is that decision should be the card owners not PSAs.

Why has the hobby not converted over to machine grading that will be more uniform and less subjective...it truly doesnt make it any sense....with the advent of AI this should be a no brainer...

It still blows my mind Card Savers are the industry standard. They're such junk and damage cards all the time.

So the prices of items aren’t just reflective of how low numbered it is … you have to include the chase of having to pull the card… them force printing a set with the top rookie being the only card in it in 900 different variations alllll unlicensed shouldn’t pull away from the price of actual licensed cards. Or even reflect the same. Seeing as how the only pull able cards are him. You may get 1 - 2 or the 1/1 or wemby lebrons worth something but got a feeling it still doesn’t get close to regular licensed stuff sales
