@@tinyprince I agree with you, I'm the oddball that prefers to play conquest, I just think it would be cool to have a progression from earlier vehicles to more advanced late war ones. Also, I'm curious if lower quality units for the Americans will be like the national guard etc. I think it will be interesting to see what they will put in those lower tiers.
The conquest maps are even more exciting than the basic campaigns I think! This sounds very cool! Hope they give you an early copy so you can show it to us, Sherm! You got me into Men of War way, way back, so it's only right :)
I have to admit, compared to what hell let loose did with the same era/theater, this was epic! I hope it is as amazing as it looks I'd love to see the Africa corps come in sooner or later with the British and Italian as well
Yeah no thanks. Commonwealth factions would just be British and American army reskins with different voice lines. Have you ever asked why everyone just adds Britain and US?
A little too much accent, but yes, you correctly said "telo mimetico" in Italian. I don't know if they have already released the Italian army dlc. If they do, I hope so.
Only 4 more steps remain. Italy, Japan, Great Britain and France. With that, it will literally be the best game of the saga by far, as long as they follow this line and do not release dlc's like "Scorched Earth" which are army expansions of the ones we already have, everything will be great. With this I do not mean that Scorched Earth is a bad dlc, but I think they can get much more interesting content such as new factions, which will give much more variety to the game.
Also, do we know if the battle of the bulge / Ardennes offensive is present? At first I though this was like France only but the post does mention fighting in the Armoured Clash at the cologne cathedral so the final push into Germany is definitely present. and while we don't see any specific winter shots. I imagine they would have made winter costumes for US soldiers for snow maps on MP and stuff. So maybe👀
@@theShermanator After some further digging, it's actually basically confirmed it will... This dlc is massive. Extract taken from store page which mentions battle of bulge: "Be among the first to scale the Atlantic wall and fight your way through the Bocage. Be the spearhead that breaks the stalemate in the battle of the Bulge. Re-live the rush to the Rhine bridge, on the road into the heart of Germany!"
Happy to see this. Hopefully we'll eventually see Britain, Italy, Africa Campaign, and maybe some Japan vs. US & Commonwealth. Look forward to spamming Shermans on the Nazis. :)
@@theShermanator I'm looking at the recent videos about Men of War 2 beta and everybody is happy. They also keep thinking that GOH and MOW2 are made by the same devs. You should make a video covering this miss information
Call me a party pooper. I just like historical things and getting a M26 Pershing in area's of the map before the tank itself launched in the theater......
it what COH should have been XD but yeah COH is not realistic I'm happy with the DLC and I sure will buy it. I wish CTA vanilla have same level as GOH and good performance. Since we can switch between this and CTA that modern era but i guess it a dream
Really would be cool to see if the developers got the permission to included Waffen-SS troops as elite reinforcements that you could call in, but I really doubt for obvious reasons
@@profeten4510 the publisher is in Germany, and Germany doesn't allow those things legally. That's why WW2 games can be different if released in Germany, has to be censored.
The Americans never had faced tiger tanks the only time they did was when 2 tiger 1s were being taken back to Germany and during the battle of the bulge
@@rileyjames748 the British, Canadian, polish, Irish forces faced tigers and other heavy vehicles the Americans only faced panzer 4s panthers and king tigers and their weren’t even that many king tigers that fought the Americans
With all the modded content, I fail to see to see anything good about this. Mace has an engineer tank that lets you tow tanks, valour has way more factions already. I feel modded content goes way better than all the dev content put together. I do love my auto medics. this is just a cash grab for maps, am willing to put money and my left nut that we wont be getting maybe more than 30 more original vehicles that aren't already in other mods maps are meh at best if they follow the same layout as the current maps. I'm all for supporting the devs as I love the game but I wont spend more than 7 bucks on this dlc. So much work still needs to be done with conquest mode. if they just bought out mace and valour and hell even auto medics and added those to the game. id be happy, but its just asset copying and hoping the community doesn't laugh and just keep playing with the better modded content.
You know that uhh Mace has a whole bunch of War Thunder ports, so they cant "buy out" MACE, and Valour uses models from MOWAS1-2 with a little bit of OC sprinkled in here and there.
But it’s all ported assets from Assault Squad 2. This is all crafted in house and will be a huge leap in quality. Also they’re adding a huge amount of western map elements that just aren’t in the base game.
Not giving them another cent until they do something about the absolutely trash AI and actually deliver on the years-old promise for UI scaling. After so many MoW games I've purchased, my patience is beyond it's limit with these people and their total lack of give-a-damn about quality control, just churning out DLC's for a largely broken and barely playable game series that carries over all it's problems from one sequel to the next.
If you really hate the AI and dont do alot of multi, I recommend the conquest enchanced mod, the AI is WONDERFUL there using combined arms tactics, outflanking you with small infantry squads, using transports, finding ways to deal with your emplacements well, using smoke grenades etc etc
@@theShermanator It is not, It is also with these devs, because they carried over all the same problems, and also promised UI scaling themselves years ago and never delivered. They crank out DLC's but do next to nothing to attack the quality of life problems and bugs of the game. Still getting the same exact issues from Faces of War like troops staring dumbly at enemies and not firing upon them unless you manually click on the target. Still getting infantry running into melee range to toss a grenade that you yourself can manually throw just fine in direct control. Still no target prioritization for the AI mounted on things like AT guns, causing them to get themselves annihilated shooting at stupid things unless you just put them on hold fire and micro their every little move manually. Everything in this game has to be done manually, because the AI is just so trash that it can't even handle basic RTS commands. You can't even realistically keep a squad together in multiplayer because the bumbling of the units will just cause mass casualties if you try to use squads as actual squads and fire teams.
