Yes you will love it. I recommend you also get the MyVaillant connect internet gateway (VR940F) - then your customer can control the boiler from their phone without any fuss. They do a bundle with the SensoHOME thermostat 👍
How are you finding the 826? I'm looking at getting the same model but I am concerned about the hot water rate. Do you have a shower, does it go cold if other taps come one? Lastly, you have two boxed beneath your boiler - one being the internet gateway, what is the other?
The app can be a bit buggy sometimes but everything is working fine. Hot water rate is fine. Our flow temperature is manually limited at around 50-55 Celsius for cost saving and all taps have reasonable hot water even when the shower is on. You can always make adjustments during the commissioning / setup process. Yes one is the internet gateway, the other is the radio receiver for the thermostat. I recommend the SensoHome thermostat for the most efficient modulation. And it’s got tons of options. We added an outdoor temperature sensor too and it’s very useful when you want an efficient heating curve. But yes you can’t go wrong with this model.
@@danieIlondon perfect thank you! I saw your comment below about the GloWorm units, great tip. I've since read about them on the DIYNOT forum and they are 1/4 of the price of the Vaillant ones and are compatible.
@@Haik0 Theres a power cable attached, you just have to manually wire it to the 13amp cables in an electrical socket. If you have an existing boiler these wires would already be connected to the current boiler. Any qualified plumber should be able to wire this for you. I might be mistaken, I checked the manual and you might have to manually attach the cable to the electronics box inside. But this is all something a qualified plumber should be able to do.
Yes the SensoHome thermostat has weather compensation. BUT you need to buy the additional wireless VR20 outdoor weather sensor as it doesn’t pull any weather data from the internet. The Vaillant VR20 sensor is expensive but the glow worm sensor is identical without the Vaillant logo and only £60.
@@danieIlondon thank you for your reply. Perhaps you could do a video showing how to install, wireup and setup weather compensation on Vallient boilers please.
@@RayMondElec I’m the customer. My friend installed the boiler. The wireless weather sensor is easy to setup. You just press the pairing button for 5 seconds and it automatically detects it. There is also not much fuss with the weather compensation, you basically chose the heating curve.
Cześć ziomeczku. We have 3 bedroom semi detached house with one bath / shower. 826 is enough for us. Even if we have flow temperature limited to 55 Celsius it has no problem heating to 22/23 even with steep heating curve. If you are in London call my polish friend in the video Igor Chuchro! He is amazing.
Which I heard disconnects a lot and has a short range because the signal has to travel through the metal casing of the boiler. My wifi router is very far and it didn’t have any problems connecting. The screen is also much better.
