When this video first went viral, my initial conclusion was that there was no racism here because the muppet character originally wagged his finger "no" at the white woman preceding the two black girls right before giving the "no" wave to the two young black girls, signifying that he was thru marching in the parade at that time (for whatever the reason) and just wanted to walk off after that. HOWEVER, the 2nd video clearly shows that the muppet character then walked back to the crowd to acknowledge the white woman who was standing on the other side of where the two black girls were - now indicating that he or she perpendicularly walked away from the line when he came to the two black girls, and then went right back to the white woman next in line after the two black girls, so this definitely looked like a racist incident.

And now for the big "what if" ? As I " What if the person in the costume is Black ? Do you still claim bias or racism ? Would the family of the two girls be racist if they did dropped the lawsuit because the performer was Black or should they continue the lawsuit against Sesame Street regardless of the race of the performer ?
The person is not Black or all the fallout would not be taking place. Too bad he or she wasn't Black though. Another division incident for our country.
CONTINUE...THE SESAME PLACE REPRESENTATIVES INVESTIGATED, REVIEWED SEVERAL TAPED INCIDENTS, ISSUED STATEMENT, FORMAL APOLOGIES . NOW FOR THE 'FACT...NOT EVEN.....'HOW ABOUT' PERFORM AS PROFESSIONAL ASSIGNED........... ****ON CAMERA 'SNUB'.......NOT A HUG, NOT A RESPECTFUL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT......😲A BLATANT, FLAGRANT, DISRESPECTFUL DISMISSAL
Before jumping on the racism band. And Before Sesame Place settles I noticed that the character in other videos was greeting other children. And notice the jester when the character came upon the 2 girls. Notice there was a motion towards someone next 2 the girls. I'm betting this is a more personal matter, than racism. It's seems as the character has a connection to the person next to the girls. I'm betting lover/ child support. The 2 girls unfortunately were the casualties. Let's make sense. Someone who's racist more than likely isn't going to want to be in that characters position period. Honestly I don't have kids and only enjoy them from a distance. I could never be a teacher/ baby sitter etc. However I would never want any harm to come to them
I say let's go back to ropes or dividers dividing the characters and the people and just let the character wave and no personal contact. Listen to officer tatums video on this and he explains the wave off. The girls were touching the costume trying to get a hug and that's why he was waving them off because it's not allowed. Let's go back to barriers and no contact then we won't have to worry about this on both sides in the future. Yes no contact. No complaints.
we are not talking about "everything" we are just talking about this video. could this be a racial incident? yes. is it ? i don't know for sure but it could be. you have to investigate more. are you saying it is 100% not and no investigation should take place?
This was blatant racism. The performer in the Rosita suit ignored a Black child in one video and was seen in two separate videos of one incident where they acknowledged a White person's request for a high five then gestured "no" at the two Black girls next to them then acknowledge a White family next to them but of course a White person such as yourself will whine about "everything [having] to [do] with race" when racism is called out when it's so blatant.
Ask why your ancestors went all the way to Africa to get slaves for free labor. When blks separate themselves from yts, they are targeted. Look up Tulsa.
The whole world is on the brink of Armageddon and this makes the news? You gotta be f - ing kidding me!! I wish I could play a card every time something doesn’t go my way in my life. Throw the lawsuit in the trash - along with the parents!!!
People are telling me to get counseling on here but I’m not the psycho suing Sesame Place for 25M, the nutcase mother is the one who needs to get a life 😂🤡
The character was clearly waving no more high fives. Right before the little boy that got ignored, a little white girl in a stroller gets ignored too. They want 25 million for this? Get real.
True looks like it may be blown out of proportion but at 1:06 they definitely skipped over those girls problem was mascot acknowledged them but gave hand and head gestures for rejecting them.
