Other than being in love with Damon, Elena also fell out of love with Stefan. So removing Damon's love won't push her to Stefan.

Kai is great, such a fun villain. Damon/Bonnie bonding is SO SWEET!!! Liam, gtfo bro. Caroline and Stefan awwwwwww. The angst kills me.

FINALLY! Someone that understands that Stefan was deeply going through it. I've seen so many commenters just berate him for not being the hero that comes in and thinks of her wants first. He lost his only family that he has been with for over 160 years. Damon was his albatross that he could never take off and put down. He is feeling lost and alone right now in his emotions, and just needs to do what's best for him to keep him from becoming destructive to himself and/or others. I didn't think it was right of Enzo to just kill his girlfriend that has nothing to do with Caroline and her neediness for Stefan. Enzo's main issue with Stefan is that he wasn't still looking for ways to save Damon. But here's the thing....he was friends with him for 5 years in a cage. Damon wasn't as attached to their friendship as he was to Damon, so it made no sense for him to act like he's the one that's been side by side with Damon for 160 years. But it does also read that he's jealous of everything Stefan has because he's never had a life like Stefan and Damon. Kai Parker is the villain we needed. Demented and reveling in it with a psychotic smile on his face. Kai touching Damon's Bon Bon?! That's when he should have known he f'ed up. Lol 🤣 You are right about Bamon's chemistry. It's what we deserve. Ian had to go to bat really hard to convince JP to let their characters have their time together. Stick Kat next to anyone and you know she's going to sparkle. That's why she was kept from the majority of the male cast. They writers and big wigs wanted the focus to stay on just the love triangle of the brothers and Elena. Meanwhile, noone is going on about missing Queen Bonnie. Hmm. Suspect. As for Bamon....my loves😍 My heart belongs to them because they are magical just being together. In the author's og ebooks, they are canon. Ever since that 70's dance when they danced together, you could see the sparks. The way he stroked her face so tenderly, after she sacrificed herself to fight Klaus....😍 He was adamant about wanting to help Bonnie work a spell to bring her back....He told Emily he'd look after her descendants so one of them could free Katherine, but he had no obligation after Emily went back on her word. So, him protecting Bonnie was his own thing. The writers may have tried to sabotage their connection with this "friends" thing, but I have never seen two people eyebang each other with longing looks of unspoken words than these two. Lol. People say "Best friends only" Ric is his best friend and I've never seen them look at each other like that. 🤣 But if Delena is your ship....happy sails. 🤗😉 To each their own.

Yes! The best villain in the entire show is here. Kai is something else. He’s the guy you can’t help but love to hate. He’s so entertaining. Honestly I think one of the best things this show did was put Bonnie and Damon alone together somewhere and not be able to get out for several episodes. Their friendship that develops from this experience is incredible! I just love watching their banter. Also, the trio of Bonnie, Kai and Damon and the interaction we get between them is superior.

damon was a big reason stefan and elena broke up but another big reason is elena just couldn't trust him anymore and i'm assuming that's why she thinks they broke up without her memories stefan is really bad in relationships tbh and with elena he liked to hide things from her until it blew up in his face even in season one before elena knew he was a vampire and she knew damon was 'trouble' damon told elena as much as he could about kathrine/their history without giving away the whole story and that they are vampires and she starts to ask stefan to literally say anything about himself because she knows next to nothing and he can't and blames damon for 'getting in her head' stefan is literally so horrible with secrets and keeping things and i get WHY he does it, i do but i also think espisally for elena it's not what she wants and i think him doing stuff like that repeatedly did really take a toll on them as a couple even besides damon i don't think they would have worked (and i actually do like stelena but as more so a chapter in their lives, not the whole book) one of the last things elena said before her and stefan broke up is she was telling damon how she didn't trust stefan because of the cure secret he kept so this is a lot of where i'm picking up that this was an issue outside of just damon that would inevitably doom their relationship to fail i think elena understood better AFTER knowing about the cure but by that point so much trust has been broken it's hard to repair and her feelings for damon were growing every day and people who do think it's just damon and want to argue with me on this then why did elena compelled by rebekah say she's not in love with stefan anymore? just because you ike someone else doesn't erase your other relationship completely and the feelings there was defiantly more than just damon (also not trying to shade you for saying this especially because it's a first watch but i'm saying to people who get mad when people say it was more than damon) & i like bonnie and damon as friends but definitely not as a couple as some people want to ship them especially due to their history (and other things said later on) and the fact that damon would never choose anyone but elena like you're going to tell be damon who waited all those years for katherine would just randomly ditch elena for bonnie? LOL unless elena betrays him or says she never loved him like katherine that would never happen it would literally have to be an au where he never has met elena and yeah, no one likes elena and liam and it's funny every time i see people reacting to it because they have zero chemistry when nina can pretty much have chemistry with anyone and everyone, even a tree (ian has this talent too) also, people give elena so much sh*t but i want to point out how cool elena has been with her friends dating lives? elena could have been upset about bonnie and jer and would have a reason to elena could have been upset about caroline and matt (her ex) and caroline and stefan (her other ex) and she'd have a reason to but she's just totally good with it when i feel like a lot of friends wouldn't like their friends to date their ex i feel like a lot of people wrongfully think elena is some selfish and jealous person and she can be occasionally (we all are at some point) but she's great for this but poor caroline in this moment and in this season in particular oof
