Aaaah!! The plot is plotting guys. I'm gettin nervous for the future lets be honest lol. But really looking forward to continuing! I loved seeing everyone in their internships too! So cute. Thanks for being here guys! Let me know what you all think of these episodes 🥰
"All for One, and One for All" is an ancient Latin expression, once used by Shakespeare, made popular in the 1800s novella The Three Musketeers, now official motto of Switzerland. Though "All for One" is supposed to mean all people for one united nation, in the context of this anime, maybe it makes sense to think of One for All being one power to protect all people, and All for One to indicate a generically greedy person.
Dude I started watching you because of JJK but let me tell you, I'm more excited for your MHA videos than I am for most of the other channels I'm subbed to lol
In retrospect, it's kind of interesting how relatively late some of the important villains that would be with us through the whole series are introduced. I mean, sometimes it works but it can be forcing it too much to introduce a nemesis in the first episode or three. But we're over thirty episodes in at this point before we find out about AFO.
FINALLY! Someone who mixes up AFO and OFA as much as me! It took me far too many seasons before I finally got it down, I managed to remember it when I thought of All Might (and Deku) being “the one” (hero) for “all” (people)
“All for one and one for all” is a popular phrase from The Three Musketeers that Horikoshi split it up for his heroes and villains. If you keep mixing them up, there’s a good trick to remember which one is which. Deku has One for All because he’s one person who wants to help everyone and All for One wants everything for himself
The AFO / OFA thing is really simple, and you indeed did mix them the moment you brought them up LMAO, All For One wants everything for one person, so the evil one, and One For All is one person who wants to give to everyone else, so the good guy
Technically Fourthkind was being a good teacher to Kirishima and Tetsutetsu- It's not all about fighting there is paperwork, office work and community outreach. Reminding the muscleheads that they have to run a business as part of being a hero will help them become adults.
The boy with black hair The girl who enjoys and adores bloodshed The lizard who carries on Stain's ideals A boy with a mask in the purple mist A giant that scales above mountains Remember these people Flexy, remember them well.
One for all and All for One actually makes sense. Just look at the meaning of those phrases because it's actually a hint of what they are and what they do(figuratively).
After the fight against Stain is the first time we start to see how oppressive and stifling this society is. Deku, Todoroki and Iida were literally getting in trouble for defending themselves and each other. According to the law, they were supposed to just sit there and die since they aren't officially authorized to fight villains. This is not a healthy society. This is a society that treats its people like cogs in a machine, each person to do their own role, and nothing else. They've already mentioned in past episodes how heroes don't have authority to arrest, that's something the police do. Just one example of how you're expected to stay in your lane.
Clearly a law that is not fit for purpose. I wonder why we didn't learn about this law at the end of season one where the students had to fight some minor villains after they attacked UA. Why didn't they all get in big trouble for not dying like the people who wrote those laws in their comfy office wanted them to?
I agree with most of what you’re saying, but I thought that the kids got in trouble not for using their quirks to defend themselves, but because they all went out of their way to put themself into the situation where that was necessary- like if they (or anyone) had been targeted by a villain, self defense is allowed, but Iida sought out the hero killer, disobeying Manual, and Deku and Todoroki left their supervisors (at least Shoto told Endeavor where he was going) and put themselves with Iida into that situation
I don't believe Shigaraki for being angry at Stain for taking all of the credit for the attacks. And Bakugo should really teach himself how to control his temper.
One for ALL, just remember the end and think like one for everyone. Like Deku, All Might. All for ONE, here it's like everything is for that one, like [REDACTED]
"Are you saying that as long as it turns out all right, it's okay to bend the rules?" Who wrote the rules? People did. We can ignore some rules in certain situations. If you have a self defence tool and use it against a person, it's against the rules. But if you use it to protect yourself or your family, it's not against the rules. (At least in places that are sane this is the case. Where I live this is not the case very sadly. The law prefers to side with violent criminals who are injured while committing a crime.) Why would it be any different with a quirk? If a law does not leave suitable exceptions, it is not fit for purpose! Unfortunately, the people who write those laws and enforce those laws are the kinds of people who will never have to decide if they'll be able to live with blood on their hands because they chose to follow the rules and did not to act. That so called chief of police for Hosu should be giving these boys medals and using this case as an example of why the law is not fit for purpose in its current form, not cover it up. Bureaucrats infuriate me. For even offering such a deal, the boys could get him fired, which is what he would deserve if he wants to follow those rules so much. Also, where was this rule at the end of season one? Didn't all the students of UA fight a bunch of minor villains? Should't they all have been expelled and put in prison or fined of whatever for not accepting their fate and taking it? All For One and One For All, it has a very nice ring to it. You can clearly tell how the people who embody those ideals must think. Ultimate selfishness and ultimate selflessness. Froppy is always good. She is just generally a really solid hero that you can depend on in a lot of situations. Meanwhile everyone else is learning things too, even if we only see them for a minute. Uravity learning how to fight against an attacker with a small blade, Earphone jack participating in minor missions and the tankiest men doing some hard work keeping their city clean. Then Bakugo who really needs to learn his lesson on what exactly a hero should be doing on patrol. This one might take some time to sink in, but he clearly made an effort so we can give him some credit!
some people want to skip the awesome Froppy episode since it does not immediately connect to the overarching story. By their logic we should also fast forward through at least 1/3 to 1/2 of every episode for being "filler"
10:36 NO! Stop, just watch and let it come to you. Been really liking your reactions but going to chat for lore explanations at the first mention of something is not the best course of action...
