Aye man I wouldn't worry about being able to afford VSTs. Buying Serum doesn't magically give you an understanding of why your sound design works the way it does nor the ticket to being a mastermind producer, and there are so many free/stock avenues to travel that I haven't run out of new things to make with basic tools a full 14 years after I started. I've had vital under my belt since launch and if I'm being completely honest I love what I have so much I haven't even updated it recently. Think of it this way homie, vital is just a 3xOSC with the flexibility of a contortionist. I'm sure you've seen Massive, same damn deal. If NI Massive was as flexible as this free instrument back in the day I'd be light-years ahead of the pack. Use THAT energy 🤘

@@LiMiNAL_ yah this is facts, people like serum because it's been out a long time and there's a ton of tuts but vital is insanely powerful and virtually the same as serum, vital just had a slightly different workflow, I always say this analogy but who would win.. a baby with lightsaber or the master with a plastic spoon? Although the baby's tool (serum) is powerful, it doesn't stand a chance against someone with knowledge of how to wield a sword. The matter will win. And of course, give the master the lightsaber and it's game over for everyone 😂

[last note, sorry I know I wrote a lot] If you find yourself feeling uninspired by the sounds you know, just take my word that you're far closer to the next discovery bringing another technique/concept than you realize. Never blame the tools, if you're growing they'll grow with you!

@@mysticartsmelodies Its vital doing it & sadly unless its updated & fixed then its not as fun to use for me. I have go days & not have a single crash.. the moment Vital is loaded its a ticking time bomb xD But it's been over a year since its last update. Mac OS has had 3 big updates. Logic has had a major one! Vital is still the same. :(

@@LiMiNAL_ bro, set warp mode to rand amp, automate with with LFO, maybe play around with the osc pitch and then run all that through pitchmap, ooufff. Color Bass barf 😂😂

@@mysticartsmelodies all the macros. Use all the macros. I literally tried to make some trash sounds the other day by overloading every parameter with every other parameter it'd allow me to and I still ended up with something miraculously coherent. Like how do you fuck up with this?

@@mysticartsmelodies I'm working on live 10 lite rn despite having other options [on old ass refurbished 2010 desktop towers that I tortured for a decade+]. I'm hella limited in many areas as far as stock Ableton goes but man I kinda prefer it this way now. I stopped using FL entirely because there's just too much unnecessary shit happening. Gimme 8 tracks, my Arturia Keylab49 essential, and just a sampler that's fine by me Vital is cool as shit though for sure
