Wow this is the 1st time in a While you didn't upload when I wasn't playing Among Us

The Last Bacon: A new leviathan is in the void now. Everyone: Say sike right now.

Imagine three of them tag-teaming you and your vehicle until they sub explodes and you’re dead. That’s what they do if you stay in their territory for too long. Every time I visit the edge their biome (the open water area just outside the map of World’s End), they never fail to startle me and make me jump.

I think what would have been even scarier is that since you are on 4546B (the same planet you were on in the last game) the void would still have ghost leviathans because of the fact that ghost leviathans were in the void in the last game, but this time the ghost leviathans would be WAAAAAY bigger than they were before and have a sort of frozen ice texture, it would show how adaptive some of the fauna from the last game were and it would be scary, but since some people might have been expecting the ghost leviathans to be in the void it might lose scare value and because the devs would want to shake things up with the void, but that’s just my own personal opinion.

Finally the void leviathan

As I had pointed out before with the ghost leviathans in the void that the PDA entry for the void that the area can only support microscopic life and leviathans implying that the the ghost leviathans weren’t the only leviathans in the void. I also pointed out that it would take a lot just to maintain a creature of that size so it seems conferred that there’s other species of leviathans in the void.

Unless the lore turns out a good reason on why it’s in the void, I feel like it was a lazy shortcut to just put a pre existing re skinned fish out there

Upon learning the Void supposedly only was home to microorganisms and leviathans, I kinda assumed that maybe most leviathan species (that aren't stuck in caves or prefer walking on the sea floor, like Sea Treaders) might be somewhat migratory. The lore for the Ghost leviathan implies that it can't stay in the Lost River when reaches a certain size, or it might become trapped (or even have trouble maneuvering). And all of the reapers and the ghosts that spawn within the Crater itself are all located in biomes at the edge (like the Dunes and Grand Reef). So I like to believe, even if there isn't an actual kraken or gargantuan leviathan out there, the Void could still be a lot more dangerous than it actually appears, and be like a leviathan menagerie. But, probably for time/budget reasons, this couldn't really be implemented in the games in an area that players aren't likely to visit too many times, as the Void was only intended as a kind of border around the playable area, rather than an explorable biome. I've also thought that reefbacks migrating between the Crater and Sector Zero might be at least part of the reason why we see a lot of the same or very similar species in both games. Even if the Void is usually not very hospitable for anything not big enough to swim the long distance, the reefbacks themselves I think are supposed to be filter feeders, and since they carry small ecosystems on their backs, small colonies of fish might accompany them. Might also explain the spread of similar plant life as well. Of course, that doesn't necessarily explain why we don't see ANY ghosts, reapers, or reefbacks in Sector Zero, or why void chelicerates don't show up near the Crater. Maybe they either prefer a specific territory most of the time as long as prey is plentiful, or they migrate based on seasons.

Wouldn't it be cool if they made a prequel of Subnautica, where the skeleton leviathan (or at least the smaller version of it) Was still alive? If so, all of the creatures would be bigger and... I know it's not going to happen, but how cool would it be.

my theory for the void leviathan is that there was an error or mutation in their genes that made them continuously grow, so they venture to the void to have more room.

So the ghost Leviathans eat microscopic things. Makes sense I guess. But these things have big teeth. Does that mean that there are not so microscopic things in the void to eat? Or could it mean that there's something flippin massive that they have to defend against?

I wonder what the justification for its traits, because personally, I think the shadow leviathan is more suited to open oceans. The ghost leviathan was a filter feeder, but the chelicerate, as you said, doesn't look like one, and there doesn't seem to be any other creatures in the void.

For it being carnivorous, I feel like there's a whole ecosystem of leviathans we never even get to see, of things like big reefback like species or something maybe hundreds of kilometres away from the landmasses. Its only microbes and leviathans, but there must be some massive filter feeders, and then some massive predators that eat them.

Im not afraid of the slightly bigger shrimp, im afraid of the thing that gave it those wounds.

I think the reason it's not as effective at being scary is because the ghost leviathan glows and you can see it from far away so you have more time to panic, knowing it's coming for you. The void chelserisk (dunno how to spell it) doesn't glow as much, therefore not giving us that time too panic

personally, I think a bigger leviathan never seen before would be terrifying, because imagine you are 8000 meters below, and you just hear a deep, bellowing, massive scream. then you look all around, and when you look back down, like 8 glowing eyes stare back at you, and they start chasing you up. All you can do is swim up in the hopes you might be able to outrun it. The only way you can is if you are faster. If you aren't fast enough, it will eat you by just swimming faster, with you getting scooped into its mouth. It will then start closing its mouth, your last chance to escape without being killed.

I do wish that they put the tentacle creature from the concept art though

It was the perfect opportunity to add the thing from the abyss.

I wish they would add more than the squid shark as a medium predator in most biomes. in the base game we had amp eels, bonesharks, crabsquids, crabsnakes, and more. I think they could have added more thatn cyptosuchus and squid sharks. In the deep lilypads and vent gardens, they could have added somthing like a crabsquid and crabsnake. I also want to see maybe another leviathan.

If those are wounds on that thing(Can't spell name sorry) Then that's something for lore. That also could mean that something bigger is out there, or that it just fights among its own species which wouldn't be hard to believe.

The chelicerate is actually a perfect fit for the void gameplay wise. It’s one advantage over the other leviathans is you don’t get a warning. Unless you catch a glance at the silhouette you won’t know it’s there until you’re under attack, and combine that with the pitch black of the void it is truly a jumpscare.

ghost leviathans were meant to either scare or kill you to get you out of the void, then you have zombie shrimp over here...

In my opinion, it should’ve been shadow leviathans doubled the size of normal ones. But this is pretty cool as well

What is the Shadow Leviathan was like a parasite on the void creature and when it starts chipping at the skin for nutrients it cause the wounds seen on the creature

I really hope they add back in the sonar scanners. They really help add scale to creatures. Like I never understood how big the adult those leviathan was until yesterday when I went over with a sonar scanner.

I wanted them to put something like ice dragon in the void it's pretty cold on 4546b so an ice dragon would be neat Void chelicrate theory: A chelicrate went to where subnautica 1 happens and it breed with a ghost leviathan. they kept breeding and the void chelicrates where made

a void version of a Chelicrate but it doesn't have a debug id and it deals less damage than the non-void counterpart

I would love if they added some content to the bottom of the void for those who are dumb or bored enough to venture to the bottom.

This void leviathan looks pretty small as a void leviathan but it looks like a zombie fide chelicerae and like a zombie virus made it bigger and like it doesn't need to it a lot

To realistic it is a omnivore cause it’s carnivorous and it’s a filter feeder cause to get the Bioluminescent glow it gets that from filter feeding so it’s an omnivore if the ocean which is differ than a land omnivore

I think they thought the normal chelicerate was a young member of their own species.

Given that there a mutation does that mean other creatures could mutate to such a height and length or even develop intelligence in titan hole fish if such is possible

They should make it so if you go far enough, ghosts should start to spawn

I personally think that the Ghost did a better job of keeping the player in the map. If you heard a Whistle, you knew you were dead. Now I'm supposed to fear a shrimp? A titan leviathan would be better any day of the week.

The problem with this leviathan is that it just comes and hunt you when you are not even close to the void.
