Crazy 254 .... To see what bollocks he talks in his reviews🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ He comes across as biased depending on the brand, so much for independent reviewing.. Was that complicated for you??
Crazy 254 ... Ahhh you’re one of those who “think” people aren’t allowed an opinion if it’s not the same as yours 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ News for you, I don’t live in North Korea.. Ironic really that you criticise my “opinions” as it obviously differs to yours & say don’t watch.. Sorry Kim Jong that’s not how it works in the free world 😉😉
Crazy 254 .... You’re not what, Kim Jong?? Sorry there Vladimir, I mistook you for your mate.. You call my comments & opinions disrespectful by the way I put them about this guy, while being disrespectful to me. Hypocrisy?? 🤣🤣 “Works so hard for his job, puts his soul into it”.... how do you know this, are you his mum?? He makes moronic criticisms of certain things on some car brands which are just the same on other brands of cars which get a free pass on the same things.. A bit less bias would be more helpful🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ I guess you can’t see past things like that through rose tinted glasses?? I bet you’d work well with others right up until you melted😉😉
Crazy 254 ... You say so mum.. As it’s a free country you’re entitled to your opinion as am I.. You defend him that’s fine.. I see a different reviewer than you & I’m allowed to say so in any way I want.. You don’t like that tough, it’s not North Korea🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
I test drove one today and I would recommed anyone that wants pure luxury to go for this car, it completely separates you from all the noise and madness outside, and drives beautifully! We are getting one after testing a GLE, GLB and a Q7, Range Rover Sport, Porsche Macan, this ones the best out of the lot!
Tip: When backing with a trailer ..... Turn the steering wheel from the bottom half only. Turning the trailer to the left you will be turning the the bottom half of the steering wheel to the left and vice versa the right. This helps with the directional confusion for engineers. Shorter trailers will turn sharper faster so go slow and do not turn the bottom half of the steering wheel too much or far. Jack knifing? Just pull forward to straighten out.
I rented one last year. Didn’t want that car at first but gave it a go. Now I long to own one. It is a game changer for suvs. An amazingly superb car... I dream of owning one soon.
Why touch screens though? When I'm driving and want to switch radio stations or change songs or click on a destination the road makes me hand wobble all over the place. Buttons are an improvement, VW. Touch screen isn't cool just because it's touch. It's like having a touch screen television at home, makes absolutely no user-friendly sense.
Not only volkswagen man. Every company uses infotainment screens nowdays, and we should adapt to them. It's normal and acceptable to control all that stuff from a screen now. Except for the climate control, that should deffinetely be made with physical buttons. Buttons are also more expensive to make comparing to infotainment screens, and also don't look as stylish, so companies are using screens now. But buttons help the driver be concentrated on the road.
The most thing I like in Matt is that he is not pretending or dissembling a character he is not. Look at this pure laugh and passive action since 6:30 to 6:41 👍
Then why can't Mercedes-Benz integrate their touchscreen entertainment systems neatly, into the dash, like Volkswagen and other manufacturers, seem to do perfectly.
Emmanuel oh no it hasn’t, don’t get me started with the TSI timing chain issues + DSG problems which costs thousands to repair. Or perhaps the 1,8 an 2,0 TSI with oil consumption problems? What about diesels you say? I’m glad you asked, because the diesels on the other hand need the flywheel to be replaced after a 100 000 km or so, which is again thousands of €€€.
Yes but it has much better materials, finishing, and engine. 600+hp with a W12 engine isn’t going to be cheap right? A Swiss watch tells time no better than a timex. Just saying. There’s a lot of care and man hours work put in by highly skilled people.
Really great vehicle inside and out, I particularly like the safety inclusions and the infotainment/dash set-up and I think its better than both the Bentley and Audi.
Paul Hendrix Unpopular fact: People who have problems driving and need electronics to help them out, shouldn't be on the roads. I've driven an old 1986 fiat panda for going on 5 years without a single hiccup, hell it even has a choke. Yet i see new cars smashed up all the time. Gizmos and gadgets make people lazy, making the risk of 'human error' higher than it should be. Argue all you want, but i'm not wrong.
dodo19923 so, you’re saying cars shouldn’t be improved with electronics and new technology as that worsens driver skill? I’d like to see you shift faster than some of the dual clutch transmissions in modern cars. I’m sure the airbag is useless too Who needs traction control on 500+ HP cars amirite? Who needs cameras to help people reverse so insurance claims can be avoided amirite? Who needs parking assist when fender benders are great fun amirite? You can convince yourself that in your bubble you are right, especially giving a 1980s fiat as your example, but as cars have gotten much harder to handle, without technology you’re actively putting yourself at risk simply by being near them, as crash testing can clearly show you. Tbh, I’d rather have older people who aren’t very good at driving anymore be driven by their car than have me bump into their back because they decide they need to emergency brake because a bird flew by too fast...
ARJUN VARMA if that was the case, why would VW only release new models of their cars 8-12 months after Audi has released theirs? Look at the Q7, released 2015 and VW only released the new Touareg this year 🤷♂️ on the same platform? I do believe VW owns a portion of Audi. What percentage I don’t know. But they don’t OWN the whole Audi brand
Matt you really shouldn't try making your videos more exciting with these numbers on the screen and with this annoying music. When you're just talking about the car and its practicality, it's the best. I love your videos, i always watch them while eating if its possible.
Idea for future video - VW Group large SUV showdown: VW Touareg vs Audi Q7 vs Skoda Kodiak vs Seat Tarraco (when it arrives) vs Porsche Cayenne vs Bentley Bentayga vs Lamborghini Urus.
Kaiyang Zhou .... Why? I’ve bought two, they’re awesome. One for me & one for my wife. Loving everything about them👍🏻👍🏻 Traded in a Mk2 which never missed a beat in 3.5 years😁
That is one very impressive automobile it looks fantastic in the build quality is superb as well, and also the tech the trailer park assist is very clever as well and a very amusing video cheers Phil.
Just got a 2011 Touareg as my first car (high school graduation gift)... LOVE it!! Disappointed that they won’t be selling the Touareg in the US anymore though
Month ago I was siting in it. Outside and inside it looks and feels excellent. For me much better than Audi q7 (which was near by). Another excellent VW product.
I do think that this car is really amazing, and the best VW. I don't think it should be compared to an Audi or Bently though. Different materials that make you feel more special. Even if their interior designs are more boring and don't have that massive screen.
bruce Wayne the fuck are you calling kid?? I love how you know absolutely nothing about me apart from a username and a profile photo yet assume everything about me and what I can and cannot afford. Wanker.
I watched Matt's videos all the way up to buying a car recently. Now I don't actually need to watch them I still find myself reeling through them for ongoing light entertainment. This can't be just me?
pontus nordin I think the car braking in the middle of a freeway is dangerous though, far better emergency response seen on other vehicles is when the car slowly reduces its speed and pulls off to the side of the road/into the emergency lane.
MaZEEZaM I've genuinely never heard of a car actually pulling off to the side when it fears its driver blacked out, I agree it should slow down slowly though
9:19 i drive the VW Arteon with the same system fittet. i can say on curvy roads the system is shit after 15min playing with it i turned it off.... on the Autobahn on the otherhand it worked pretty good, but i miss a option for a speedlimit offset, like BMW has it.
You didnt stick to your usual format - didnt see the rear seats completely folded down to see if they are flat or not - one of my hang ups with new cars!
I really love your videos, I think you're the best car reviewer on RU-vid but one thing that really annoys me is how silent you get while finishing a sentence when you're inside the car. I always have to raise the volume to listen to the end of the sentence and then drop it again. For example, see how quiet you get after 10:15 for a few seconds.
Love it but the warning signs when you were in self drive mode came from the disruption in the retinal sensors being interrupted by you waving your hands around😉
