i was one such toe-dipper last mayhem. i caught the bug. this time i will be less afraid and better prepared - not only to have fun and grow my skills, but thanks to you, hopefully make a profit at the same time.
Thank you for the video! I thoroughly enjoy Cyrodiil and had so much fun pugging the IC bosses during the last pvp event. Having enough people to run back through the sewers unganked is also a huge bonus! Thanks Arttea!
The knight praying at the chapel was the absolute best! Outward Serenity. Internal Turmoil, with a massive brain aneurysm in the making. That was some seriously funny shit! I look forward to the event. I have a lot of items in Cropsford to collect for the sticker book. See you guys in Cyrodiil!
Haha precisely how it feels to play a support some times; especially when it’s harder to receive rewards as one And yes, see you out there! I’ll definitely be sure to host more IC and Cyro outings to help the guildies get their tickets!
A previously avowed pvp hater, sticking strictly to pve I finally decided to go for a templar support build inspired by your vids. I’m still running selfish and sustain sets whilst I learn but I’m finally ‘getting’ it and enjoying it. Thank you! Just need to find some fellow PC EU pvpers for the event!
Amazing!! So happy to hear it! That's the way to go; just focus on staying alive and the rest will come in time! Maybe some pvp enjoyers from the TTS server would be down to pvp with ya for the next event! Iirc, a few of them grouped up last time :D
Arttea: Aw shit, here we go again >:] PVE Ticket Farmers: Aw shit, here we go again :( Trying to learn to PVP for the first time during this event, so I'm still looking forward to it lol, great guide as always.
A new RU-vid channel, Exploration gamer, and it's owner Marco gave you a shout out... We call him the Bob Ross of ESO.. You have to check it out, lol. Good stuff..
Yeah that dude is so chill, and he gave Arttea a nice plug. He's kind of a male version, only more PG and less snarky. Hopefully, he'll work on that... ;) Rock on, Arttea!
I've never been a big fan of PvP unless I was able to run with friends. This was true even before I made the switch from Xbox to PC, however on Xbox I flat out refused to even try running Whitestrake's Mayhem, not even for the tickets. Now on PC, I was able to get all of the Clan Blackdrake drops before the event even ended, and have farmed for more Tel Var than I ever had before. Granted the guild I ran with is... no longer interested in having me around, but perhaps I'll try joining the events held by Tamriel Trade Secrets this time around! Can't wait to see if I can level up a new toon for PvP before it drops again, lol.
Great guide. I think there's something ugly looking about the house dufort armor. It's definitely a completions checkmark for me then dumped in the pile. To those who like it enjoy.
I had been worried with the renaming of the event they would move MYM to once a year, so glad they didn't! Looking forward to MYM on the improved PCNA servers. Cyrodiil has been so much better lately.
With the way queue times are right now they better open up at least two more campaigns for this. They need another one now. Also, I love my Ebonsteel Knight. I have I think 4 different toons wearing at least the chest piece.
Next time TTS does an IC run, light attacks only on bosses needs to be attempted to see if you supports get any drops. Also pouring one out for Gored Dad - truly gored in that BG match
Depending whether we get Zeal of Zenithar before or after Whitestrake's Mayhem, keep in mind the 10% vendor price reduction for Zeal. Potentially, farm those AP or TV during WM, and cash out during Zeal.
Unfortunately, I think that the Zenithar event will be happening first, as per the order of appearance for these events on the PTS. But if not, what you mentioned is definitely something to keep in mind!
Oof, Dufort is an IC boss drop? I missed that when I was reading the patch notes. Not sure if I'm here for the boss grind. Guess I'll be helping some of this channel's viewers make some money later this year, then... Hahaha...
Did this event ever come? I don't play on PC, but their website didn't show any event has happened recently. Was hoping the XBOX was going to see an event soon.
I look forward to having more anxiety about cleaning my mailbox during Mayhem then i do about the guy with 18k health standing next to me on the ram as I grade papers
LMFAO I can definitely relate to both of those anxiety-inducing situations The guy with 18k health is also entirely unbuffed and also has his weapon sheathed right?? ;p
During last pvp event i stalked some dude of the enemy alliance in cyrodil, but he didn't attack me, so we ended up just traveling together, killing mobs and chatting. And then we crossed path with AD zerg rush...
Hey I might have messed up. I haven't really logged in since I got the 1st set of fragments for the Golden mounts. I haven't missed an event have I? Ppl got the gold mounts yet?
Fair play, bows can be pretty nasty in BGs! The aoe soft cc that you can comfortably apply to an entire lobby makes for a great group-utility skill. I've been hit with some pretty hard-hitting bow builds as of late!
@@Arttea Yup, that sounds smart lol. What about no soft cc other than a slow? Lol it is a snipe spamming stamplar. Hit em with focused aim from afar while they run at you or away from you, then just snipe into jabs. If your ult is up, and they arent a nightblade, bow ult. Rolly polly for defenses, and running the hell away out of line of sight with resolving vigor and the bubble up. Im a trash pvper, but in whatever my mmr bracket is, it works. Most of the time. Havent tried it in open world though. Probably get clapped in that 🤷♂️
I don't have the map pins addons myself, so what I did when I had to farm the lorebooks (something I only did once, hehe) was use this resource to point out where each lorebook was located: teso.mmorpg-life.com/lorebooks-locations-map/ Other than utilizing an external resource that points out where to go, I'm afraid I don't have very many other tips for those that can not play with addons. I hope that one day, zos considers adding lore book locations to our maps, much like what they did with skyshards!
You say we should sell Style Pages at the beginning of an event for a high price. But at the beginning, I don't even get style pages 😅 It takes me days to get even one page.
Hehe, well, if you had old style pages from that particular event laying around, the first day is a decent day to sell them! And if you *do* manage to get any style pages on the first day; then I'd give the same advice. Admittedly, some events are easier to farm boxes for than others!
@@Arttea fair point! i used to use the new style pages myself right away (because i was scared i wouldn't get them again later on), buy the missing ones at the end of the event and sell any doubles near the end. but I didn't make much gold that way.
I would recommend finding a build that makes you nice and tonky and playing with a group to allow yourself to get more comfortable with pvp! Playing with others definitely helps, not to mention the fact that it is more fun to play with friends
Fair enough. If you are in discord servers that have channels dedicated to talking about pvp, you may be able to ask some questions about sets that compliment a playstyle that you prefer (tanky, glass cannon, etc). ESO U is one such server that I'd recommend to chat about pvp builds!
I remember that at some point people in one of my guilds were giving these candlefly runeboxes for free, I got 3 of them and sold each for 350k sometime after the event. Never made so much gold without effort hehe Thank you for the advice! XD
Honestly if you're a support in PvP, don't help other players during this event unless you've struck a deal out in a premade group to get a share of loot, and you have an add-on that shows everyone's loot drops so you don't get scammed. Don't let other people use you, when you get nothing. Coming from a tank who has saved more brainless DPS than I've cared for.
Haha I feel ya; totally get where you are coming from. Whenever I play support in open world pvp I am always playing with friends or guildies, so I don’t mind helping them out! They help me in other facets of the game. But yes, if you’re playing solo, it truly is a thankless job :’(
@@Arttea I think it's just how it is. You can't afford to be generous in ESO as a support if you're playing with people you don't actually trust. In other games, (specifically MMO's) loot is divided off a smaller pool of loot, that everyone has to roll for so it's fair game by RNG. ESO says screw that, and punishes players for playing tank or healer. And for ESO content, DPS need tanks and healers for serious threats such as WB's when you have the possibility of being ganked at any moment as opposed to tanks and healers needing DPS. I've gone district to district just witling down bosses as a tank with a healer friend, no dedicated DPS required.
Its frustrating :/ i can try whatever build i want to, its not working every time, seems like im just not made for pvp... :( and thanks for the great video :)
Aw, sorry to hear it. Have you tried to play some more tanky builds to help you increase your survivability first? I typically find that this can help you learn the ropes of your class. Playing with friends helps a lot too! I hope you still manage to have a nice time when this event goes live 🙏
@@Arttea i think im not too squishy but i dont stand any chance most of the time nevertheless. probably worth a try, seems like my heals, my dmg AND my survivability is just... meh. i dont do enough dmg, my heals are bad and i wont survive for long too... against mobs n stuff its not a problem, ive done molag with only 1 friend many times and could probably do it on my own, also walking bosses in sewers i defeat on my own without any issues. but when it comes to fights against players i stand no chance..
Aww. Fortunately, there are small opportunities to pvp in cyrodiil (via the town quests) and the imperial city, but yes, if you don't build yourself for pvp, you're going to have a hard time against pvpers. PvP also has a very steep learning curve, so it is going to take a lot of time. If you still want to ever give PvP a try, don't be discouraged! Playing with friends helps a lot as well! Good luck :)
i havent played the game in like 7 months. just logged in. dont have plus. how the fck do i manage my inventory so much stuff and old gear. this is a cry for help
Mayhem again? Gosh. ZOS Beth has a serious new ideas shortgage! Wait a minute: that means marketing studios numbers are right and nobody will gonna buy High Isles and ZOS need click bait in huge amounts to catch and keep actual players.
