Hey all! So the time came to finally get around to building the bed ive been dreaming of forever. Check out this slick sucker. And just wait till its painted!
On the truck I'm running now I wint with the Miller 325 EFI Trailblazer , a IMT air compressor that is PTO driven. Nice rig hope it works for you. The only thing I would change is to lock up your leads! Losing $600 worth of copper to a thief hurts!
Haha. I will eventually put a better version of it on the truck. At the time i didnt want to mess with having to redesign it so i went simple on this one.
Hmmm. Good question. I need to add some extra bracing and welds. Especially around the headache rack. Might have gone with a little thicker steel for the deck so it wouldnt bow. Little small odds and ends. Not too much i dont like about it to be honest. Its easy to modify them too cause you just weld what you want on. Ive added a few features that way. Definitely plan on different machines and such when you do it. Think ahead.
why did ya put everything to the passenger side? almost every other rig is to the drivers side, i'd hate to run around my truck everytime i needed to change something haha. Lots of nice features to the deck though, looks good
I put all my equipment on the passenger side for service work. Keeps me out of the highway when doing roadside. Plus i can pull up against a fence or something and still open my truck door and get out and be as close as possible with my leads. Its not that bad to have your equipment on the passenger side. Most guys dont because of the stigma behind it meaning youre a crappy welder if you do. I dont care what other people think honestly. I just let my work talk for itself.
@@ruddmanwelding5853 that’s all that matters man keep it up and keep grinding to the top ❤️ gotta love the game, happy holidays bro hope you have a good one 👍
Anybody want to venture a guess why those door latches always quit working after awhile? Keep slamming them closed and you'll figure it out! Metal WILL break you know.
