The stock rims are are smaller diameter. They will not work. But SunF has lots of tires to fit the stock rims. Don’t forget to use our “SouthwestORV” promo code for a discount!

Did these tires change the Ranger's engine rpm as it relates to the speed compared to the old wheels/tires? For instance, at 25 mph with the new tires, did the engine RPM decrease compared to the old wheels/tires?

Slightly yes, but in the opposite direction. I think it possibly runs barely HIGHER rpms now because it takes more effort to turn the heavier wheels/tires. But not much if any. But the engine/tranny seem perfectly happy running this wheel/tire setup. I put nearly 100 miles on the machine in the past 24 hours, still on the original belt. Thanks for watching!

Hi, I do a lot of asphalt riding. Are these quieter than stock? Did ride quality improve at all?

Hello! To me, they are not quieter than stock. The ride quality improved vastly OffRoad. On road they’ve done fine. I do a lot of asphalt riding too. But I can rotate them for wear, unlike the stock tires.

Quick question - I’ve got a 1000 Premium on order. I found someone who has 2021 XP factory takeoffs for very cheap. Will these XPs fit no prob? Just throw on and go? Thanks!

If they are newer Ranger XP wheels/tires, they should fit no problem.

That's correct! No lift, and they do not rub. I think it really changed the look of the machine for the better.

Yes, I measured mine, and at 14psi they measured a true 28".

Probably depends on the make of the tire. It would be close. I don't know if you've seen my "off camber" video I recently published, but you can see the machine flexing and turning to the max. These 28's clear for sure. But they are close! I think a 29" might rub.

Are you talking about the top of the tires, or the ground clearance under the machine? Or...maybe you're talking about the total height of the machine to see if it will fit in your garage?

The stock/original tires were 26” tall. These tires I installed are 28” tall. It may seem unlikely, but for me that extra inch of ride height produced by the taller tires made all the difference on rough/rocky trails.

I think they might. On the Polaris Ranger Club forum guys say that up to 28's clear without a lift. So I went up to 28's. Mine clear fine and there hasn't been any rubbing yet, but I can't say what a 29 would do.

Are your tusk wheels the 14x7 with 10 in tires on them just curious wasn’t sure if that difference worked?

The tires (all four) are SunF A047 in size 28x10-14. The wheels (all four) are Tusk Teton machined beadlock 14" 4+3 offset wheels. I LOVE this wheel/tire setup, it works well for the riding I do. When I ordered the wheels from Rocky Mountain ATV, they offered an option of adding compatible lug nuts. I'll see if I can find a link for you.

Good question! I did not. The machine is still sitting on stock suspension, softest preload. No rubbing.

Did you move your shocks outboard on the mounting locations and did it raise the vehicle any more?

Good question Pete. I have not altered, adjusted, or changed anything with the suspension. It still sits today as it did when I picked it up from the dealer one year ago - factory stock.

I have the same machine and with stock tires, I'm averaging 13-14 mpg. Have you figured what you are getting with the larger tires?

I did not see my MPG's change much with the larger tires, and I would definitely say any disadvantage was worth it for the improved look and much improved offroad performance. Thanks for watching!

In my opinion, no. I'm sure it measures wider now, but in my opinion it feels more stable and planted now, which may be the result of the tires being wider and the 4+3 offset wheels pushing the stances 1" out further on each side of the machine. Frankly, I love it.

No sir. No wheel spacers. I do like the 1" additional that these wheels push to the outside, for stability and the look. But I don't want to go wider, personally, because I want to keep as much mud as possible in the fender wells.

Southwest ORV I just bought a 2020 Ranger 1000. I was looking for aftermarket wheels and tires to put in without a lift or spacers. What wheels where those you put on? I was wondering how much lift it added also? Thanks!

Hey, I'm sorry it took me a few days to respond. Congrats on your new Ranger 1000! Love mine. Mine does not have a lift or spacers, and it does NOT have any rubbing issues. The new wheels and tires DID increase ground clearance and off-road capability. You will see that in more of my published videos of the machine. If you look in the video description, you will see that they are Tusk Teton wheels ordered off Rocky Mountain ATV. Link to product in the description. Also, the tires are SunF A047 tires in size 28x10-14 at all four corners. The wheels need to be 14" with 4+3 offset at all four corners if you want to rotate for wear, like I do. Overall, machine went up just a little over an inch higher off the ground, yet off road this translated into a lot better 4x4 capability.
