New Wheels! Trying the Famus 60mm aluminum core wheels. 

I have the new 5 spoke famous wheels. The bearings went in smooth with a bearing press.

Hi corey, great video, but I have a question for the sola wheels, I just bought the wheels and it comes with the bearings, but when i put the wheels on Create original frames or 50/50 frames, the wheels just doesn’t spin smoothly (kind of like stuck, unless if i loosen up the bolts it’ll spin normally). I did tighten the bolts for that just because i don’t want any weird noises coming from the bolts when i skate them. But when I tried to skate them around the house just to tested out it rolls perfectly find, but is this normal?

Great review mate, thanks. Ans as allways super riding! I was on famus for more than a year now :) only for really rough street I use something else. Recently tried Undercover Milky - seems even grippier and same fast. Don’t know about the wear yet. Even Famus don’t wear as fast as they are believed to :)

Thanks for reviewing these! I considered getting them but went with the 60mm UC Team wheel. Hopefully they’ll last a while.

Isn’t your average set of UC, Dead, etc. about the same price as these? If you’ve worn these to the metal core it would probably be time for new urethane wheels too 🤷‍♂️

Why wont a ninja bearing press for skateboard work for these things. It works on my scooter 110 al. core with ease, You can even use the back end to take out the bearings which is usually even more of a pain when you dont have this kind of gadget.

Why do these wheels wear out so fast when they are 88/90a? Seems like a rock solid thane on paper…

Ive heard so many people say the same about famus wheels. A buddy of mine is in his third set of bearings as he keeps busting them trying to get them in. I dont understand why it needs to be that tight

are they just as hard to remove the bearings ?

Have a full flat setup on aeons and love the wheels, fantastic for bowl. I occasionally have a wheel that looses its free spin, so I bought a £5 rubber mallet and I just give them some taps and put them back in to find them spinning nicely again. Would like to swap/clean the bearings but don’t know if it’s possible or worth the hassle/possible injuries/damage it might cause....any suggestions welcome!

Things not going to stabilize like you mentioned. Think it's bad now...going to get much worse. It will never be like the way you remembered it. Global reset coming.
