Seward Johnson was an heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune, but was fired from the company by his uncle, Robert Wood Johnson. He became an artist and his lifelike statues can be found all over New Jersey. He also founded the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton
These statues are phenomenal! True works of art & really is what statues should convey…people enjoying their everyday lives. I can’t wait to see them when my husband & I come bk to Wildwood on vacation. Thanks for this fun & wonderful video!👏🏽
I am so glad you shared this! When we were in Wildwood two weeks ago, we saw the statue of the father and daughter and I did a double take! I did not know there were others. Next time I am down, I'll be checking them all out!
The staues ate really authentic to "T". The favorite one is the girl with the bike resting with the cell phone then the guy with the dog and the woman and her child reading the book and the girl with hula hoop and then theman playing the violin with the case and money in it. Hatsoff to the artist they are so life like. Great job as always Joey finding out where they were at. The township should have one of you with the go pro on the boardwalk pointing out places of interest or on the beach with a drone in the sky! Maybe down the road right ?? Thank you as always Joey for thinking of us . I will be there in September so I will see everyone of them. Take care and God bless you and Julia and the family...God bless all of us .
Joey first time I saw had to take a double take myself! Only saw the two at Fox Park but nice to know about the others! Thanks so much for your tour … learned something new today! Happy 4th to all!🇺🇸
Hey Joey, How are you? I like the statue of the Sailor kissing the woman. My wife and I and our son will be in Wildwood on July 11, 12. We like watching your videos. Keep them coming!
That is crazy amazing, you laying with the girl on the bike was so awesome, they are so awesome, the details are fabulous, like on the money in the case, I can't wait to get down there and see them, so cool thank you for sharing this and Joey, you and your family have a great 4th of July and a safe one, 👍🙏❤️😎ciao ciao
Hey Joey! My family actually saw some of these statues! My son said are those real people getting married!? I said no bud it's a statue! Sadly we just left wildwood but I was a fun trip! I have a video suggestion. So my family and I stay at the Fluer de lis and the motel next is called to cape cod in. I think the cape cod in is getting redone so maybe you should check it out! From a lovely wildwood family the Constantinos
Mayfair got new ones and some of the ones that were on Frankford ave last year are now in Wildwood. I had my Mom thinking that the old lady with the shopping bag in front of Stein Florist was real..Haaaaaa
Hey Joey got a question we have been coming down to Wildwood for 20 years we usually stay at the aqua Beach or the adventurer but I keep seeing champagne Island if you don't mind what is that is their hotels over there that you can stay that way?
Why don’t you ask the city how many 911 calls they’ve gotten for the “passed out” lady from people thinking it’s an OD? The last call was from my friend. It was late at night and it really upset him. Stupid idea, especially in Wildwood.
Those statues look really creepy at 4 in the morning... I know this because I first noticed the statue by the Vietnam memorial wall when I saw it when waiting to get in the convention center for the primary elections
