Been watching since you were still destroying full teams as Conq on Breach in For Honor, sad you don't post that anymore but all the more grateful you stick with the tank class and mindset no matter what game you play. Might try getting into that game sometime this next year
Hi Atlas, your work is a real inspiration for me. i've been playing for 400hrs now, only focusing to be a Fortress warrior like you. All my money goes in gears. All my training goes to have better combo. I have some problems against IG/VG and firestaff. I have some team mates telling me "PvP tanking is not méta", "your build is useless" but when i look at your playstyle, i have spartans spirit instantly. Never give up. 💪 It's such a good feeling to have 4 bruisers spamming at me and be still alive.
That's awesome man! I love that. Ppl aren't used to seeing tanks in pvp. It throws them off because of how rare we are. And the fact that you devote everything to the playstyle will make you better than most. I only play tank so that means that my total expenses in game are pushed towards fine tuning the playstyle and perfecting. You gotta fear the dude that practiced that one kick 1000 times if you know what I mean.
@Atlas …. Greetings from West Coast ! Your Build made me love pvp again … big fan … every one i kill i make sure to send them a link of your channel… Question : Do you have a Discord Server we can talk .. all things Tank ( your community i mean … We need more of Atlas ! Cheers
I'm glad you like it! Pvp tanks are rare so I am always happy to see them on my server. They think we are useless...until they fight us and end up running 🏃♂️ lol. Unfortunately I don't use discord much. I'm not even all that familiar with how a discord servers work. I never really got into the whole twitch/discord/stream stuff. Even on youtube I'm a noob with thumbnails, logos and editing. My only real talent is combat sadly.
@@atlasfishmo dudee … Iike it ?! I freaking love it … on my server … people i run with simply refer to it as “ The Atlas Build “ … i show them your videos and on the next day .. people just cant get enough of this build 😂 … have you ever considered Onyx gems with Runeglass case of Leeching ?! I did that on my set and the extra 5% leeching on top of the leeching ring is simply insane!!! I would love to hear your take on that
@@jordannachev4142 thanks man. And yeah I have tried it. I wasn't a fan really of leeching. I felt like I was taking damage more than I was actively using my lifesteal with my current set up. I've been back and forth
What DPS class would you say does the most against you when you play this? Fire staffs with flamethrower? Maybe IG/BB? Cool vid. Love to see GS players flailing helplessly and dying.
Every weapon has their strength against our build. For example, BB has a lot of stamina depletion and exhaust making it hard to manage stamina. IG has a lot of roots and slows limiting our mobility. Additionally they have pylon that needs to be destroyed ASAP disrupting our combo. GS has bleed and rend we have to purify along with defiant stance that can block our CC. But Hatchet is the biggest issue in combat. They can make several mistakes and live to fight another day. They can break CC and escape a lethal combo, and they have undeath which allows them to survive if they do get caught. It's a tough match up but you need to force them to use berserk before you CC them. Most of the time that's their primary heal so dps them to force it out then combo as usual. Their attacks don't do a lot of stamina dmg so we can block them for days. It's a slow analytical match up which often leads to a 50:50 chance of winning if evening matched. Flamethrower is strong when they outnumber you. If it's 1v1, they are in close range so I stack up fortify with block and my passive regen when I have defiant stance active is usually enough to negate the burn dot on me.
@@atlasfishmo I play very similiar build, i suggest using slash protection gems, so hatchet won't be an issue, same as other slash weapons. For me the real worst opponent is VG user, and to be honest every ranged with brain to keep distance
@@otaku131 Hatchet dps isnt the issue. It's the CC break. What you need to do is let them pop berserk first before you combo. For VG I would block their voidblade so they don't stack on you and heal themselves. For range, it really is player dependent. I am yet to see a bow/musket double combo. So that means most ranged players have some melee weapon like rapier or spear. Use line of sight to force them into melee range. As of now they are fighting you with only 1 weapon and 3 abilities. Most will engage in melee if you let your health run low to bait them in for the finish. Then you combo them for the finish. The same way they can force me into open plain by letting themselves stay low health is the same way I could force them into melee to kill me when range abilities are on cooldown.
I'm so glad to see that you're back with the videos. I have a few questions since I've been trying to run your build for a few months now, but I don't feel as tanky as you. The first thing is that I see that you have a lot more physical damage resistance than I do. Mine is evenly split between physical and elemental resistance. Do you think I should change this to match yours more? I feel like I have a hard time against flamethrower mages anyway, but it would be nice to have an easier time against melees and bow players. The second thing is our hammers since they have a 1 perk difference. Yours has chain void whereas mine has refreshing move. Is chain void an essential perk for dmg, or am I good to go with the one I have? Your sword also has sure footing on it. I'm using the Infernus sword which doesn't have that. I'm currently using the Titanwall shield, while I'm running arenas to up my PVP track to get a shield like yours.
Excellent questions. Never feel afraid to ask. 1. I am not entirely sure why my Physical resistance is more than yours, most likely due to oricalchum predominant set I'm wearing. Physical resistance is better because it gives more health from con passive. 2. Chain is very good. Attunement is also good. Users choice. If you have a damage issue then I would suggest getting one of these two. I prefer Chain because in 1vX, my real target isn't the player I'm focusing. It's the guy that's on the side as I wait for them to reach a certain health level before I hit them with the Atlas Combo for the finish. So Chain will slowly chip away at them without them realizing it. 3. Surefoot on sword is there so I can get all the passives in the sns defense tree. My current sword lacks dps but I have it built in such a way that blocking reduces cooldown for my moves, and my moves give Stam for more blocking, while increasing my ability to heal via defiant stance. It's a "block survival loop" I couldn't obtain without surefooting. Or without sacrificing 3s CC shield bash stun
No hate, but most of those guys wouldve lost to a regular bruiser as well. The ones in the first clip didnt dodge a single shockwave. And yeah, trenchant recovery is just insane for duels. Have been wondering if you ran 300 con in them though? I dont think a shockwave usually lasts long enough for dodge + Heavy
I run 300 con so I can get medium attack on Shockwave for 5 freedom and full heavy on non freedom. If I hit 2 ppl at once, I can get full heavy on one and light on the other. Currently making a full CC guide for 1vX CC mechanics. With 300 con you can get a lot more dps against multiple opponents provided they are in melee range and you don't get CCed before you execute it
The amount of times that the people you fight allow you to do full-charged heavy or your shockwave is insane, half the time you don't even set it up and they just go Ok I'll eat it.... is the PvP on CoS really this bad, or is this just nothing but clips of you owning idiots that think it's smart to toe to toe someone with 300 con and full heavy and have 0 tactical retreats. You're a beast though, that's for sure
I get fully charged heavy on shockwave with 300 con. You can get Shockwave consistently if you time it when your opponent goes on the offensive. If someone is dodging a lot, feint your Shockwave to catch them. Lastly, you confirm Shockwave on out of stam players. I hope this helps if you have difficulty landing it. The issue ppl experience with Shockwave comes from trying to land the attack on a player that is actively on the defensive. You have to trade the CC.
