Have you ever thought about doing a play by play video talking about what is going through your mind during fights, why and when you use certain moves, or why you don't heal right away.... various tactics? Thanks for all of your videos I've been learning a lot!
Great idea man for sure. Once I finalize all the pieces to the build I can do one. To briefly answer your question about health, I let it ride low to bait ppl into attacking me. Finishing a low health target is subconscious drive nearly all players go for. The pvp taunt is simply having low health. You will be surprised how well it works. It's super risky, but with 24k health, my half health bar basically an almost fully health bar for most dps. So understanding how those proportions correlate helps make the judgment call
@atlasfishmo Ah I see, make them think you're in trouble tricking them to come to you so you don't have to chase them. Nice. My gear is still bad right now, so any tactics I can try to imitate will help.
@@atlasfishmo Amazing suggestion atlas, please make it possible in future so we tank players can imagine what would you do in certain situations, at least me i fail constantly trying.
Remember day dot watching your tank vids. Ended up being a bruiser im S2 but man! S3 is bringing tank vibes & I made a quick build based of yours yesterday. Pieces mostly - Health + Enchant ward/Grit ward & Slash con atm (Mainly from drops) Struggling to find weapon perk items atm so unable to combo without full rend yet. Amazed how the build can dominate in close spaces & love drawing out DPS move sets haa. Works a charm! Love the vids bro.
Atlas, I've been studying your vidz too after watching you 1vX... i was like, wow... I wanna do that too. It's not as easy as it looks but I'll keep trying. I've been using the lifesteal artifact ring but not enough dps. I'll which to stopwatch and see how that goes. Thanks,
Another great demonstration of how to keep 2 squads busy in OPR :D. Its crazy how desperate players get to take down one person. The 4 man shield slap at 44secs is awesome. I think Shield slap (My name for Bash) is my favourite ability in the game if I think about it. I'm close to making a very similar build to yours. Just need a WH really. What is BiS for your WH? Trenchant Rec+Clearout and+???
3rd perk is up to user. I will go attunement if they don't fix magnify as I am stuck at 400 con 200 str currently. Can't have more than 3 magnify pieces for 350/250 split
@@atlasfishmo They confirmed in the latest q&a that they wont be doing any immediate changes to magnify... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rqySd4ag04Q.htmlsi=X-vtnjI4nmZ4sssk&t=525. What's your plan gonna be? Stick with woodgrain? Craft/buy? Grind the forgotten protector's armor set in lazarus? Also would like to get your thoughts on 400 str, 200 con or putting some attribute points in dex or focus.
You are really good at your build. I wish to play pvp together. I made a paladin build .just have no time to make RU-vid videos. But is huge support for melee.
Hey Atlas! Long time watcher of you representing the tank smackdowns! Currently updating my own loadout, I haven't been as lucky with getting a stopwatch, so I have a quick question. It seems a pretty powerful tool to keep the combos up, but without it, would you still suggest: Shield Bash> Clear Out> Shockwave> Backstab Heavy Attack for max damage combo? Been having trouble executing it, people breaking free pretty quick of the CC, so I was just wondering, what is your experiences? Anyway! Love the PvP, keep up the grand work man!
Hey man! What CC are they breaking out of for you? Shockwave CC is short without stopwatch. Any freedom gear or even just normal heavy you can't get much more than a med heavy or clear out. With high freedom, you may not even get a light in most cases
Thanks man for the reply! Yeah they tend to roll away after shockwave, mostly light/medium users, making it difficult to catch them with a heavy attack. I have danced between longer shield bash CC and that block move speed. Also going less for heavy attacks and more for the light ones. How do you combat those fast buggers usually, being able to kite with all those rolls? @@atlasfishmo
@@Aricin55 the key to catching light is stamina drain. You must apply pressure on sns bar not to do dps but to force them to dodge and waste Stam. When out of Stam go for big combos. Repeat till dead. It's all stamina.
