Hey Guys, I posted a video awhile back where in the background I was fishing, mainly just as filler B roll, and a few people, a lot of people, noticed that every cast in the back ground I was catching either a chest or legendary, nothing else ever, so I have had many requests as to what I was using, trophy’s, gear and so on to do this. So I thought while things are quiet and there is not a whole lot going on I would finally make this by request. I do hope it answers your questions, and if not feel free to ask anything else!

So I crafted the three trophies and placed them, I have Lucky Waters 3 on all pieces except my hat BUT I have Lucky Day 3 on 1 pole and Lucky Night 3 on another. I went from level 50-100 in one day and only caught legendary fish and treasure chests in every single 3 star hot spot! Today I am going to finish going from 100-200. FINALLY!!! Thank you for this. I have hated not having everything at 200.

From datamined PTR information on nwdb they fixed the fishing trophies so now you can stack 3 Major's. Great video.

A tip for those that are into gathering and want max efficiency without having to pay to respec every time you change from logging to mining or skinning or whatever. Go buy cheap 590+ gear pieces with the desired perk and stat, so for mining you just need any piece of gear with mining luck and strength. I prefer 590 or higher because you and throw some shards at it and get to 25 strength. Do this for your amulet too, get strength and mining luck. These are cheap on the trade post because a purple 597 with gathering luck is a total dud that someone was trying to roll 600 with BiS perks. I pick most of my gear for less than 1k gold each. With strength on your ring, earrings and weapons that's enough to push you to the 250 that unlocks 10 additional yield and you save 200 gold not having to respec every time you go gathering.

I also added luck perk and put pearls in the gem slots and make sure to open chest along my mining routes. (Pulled loaded dice this way)

Same for me too. If I wanted to catch fish - besides legendary - I use a pole that doesn't have luck, or use different bait.

I star geting them after lvl 45 fishing and stopped at 50 but all luck in nw have always been so weird to a point you get more luck with less luck and the bugs we have is the same we get some of them back every patch that´s my exp with 3 60s and 5k hours.

Thanks 5 Head! I can personally confirm that this works at least as low as fishing level 75, all 3 trophies, and 5 pieces of armor with Lucky Waters III, and a secret fishing hotspot in Cutlass Keys. :)

Finding treasure chests is harder to do without ALL THREE trophies (and the "Sodden Chest" update). But yeah, still a valid strategy after this time.

This is crazy! Fishing was the last skill I needed to get to 200 so this should help out a ton. I've been doing it today with your same gear setup except I am not using the vengeful hat, but it is still working for me. I do have lucky day III on my fishing pole which may be why I do not need the hat, but I will try to test at night time and see if it still works. Only problem is these 3star spots seem highly populated.

The interesting part here is: After the 3v3-patch the higher tier metals will decline in price. Gold and Silver are rather cheap already. This will hurt the gain from fishing a lot.

I did this now, on 3 star spots I got 5 leadgendary per 2 spots. I got 3 gear with lucky 3, and 1 with lucky 2 - Fishingpole Lucky 3 daytime. I havent tried fishing at night yet. But I tried with different thropys to try in 1 star to get the int and dext food. But it seems so mutch harder to catch them.

Man i love your fishing guides but im a level 26 atm and so buying/making the trophy things arent very plausible( I also dont have a house). Also i must say, the pricing of these fish has gone down drastically from a year ago. I too caught a blue-blooded barb but theyre selling for like 30 gold lol. Love the vid.

Get a fishing pole with Lucky day III + Lucky Night III. The lega ones from the quest are meh... The low tier gems are useful in jewelcrafting levelling - both aptitude or skill.

I just tested your theory and it didn't work. I have the exact same gear, did the exact same thing with my trophies, and have the right baits. I have aptitude 13 in fishing and it didn't make a difference by changing the trophies. The only difference I saw was when I had all 3 majors and at a 3 star hot spot. However, I never got a legendary or treasure check every time. There was still always a blue in the mix no matter what, and if I was at a 2 star fishing hot spot, i still got greens. Also this doesn't even really matter that much as the May patch is going to fix the Fishing Trophies as well. I would just recommend stacking Lucky Water III, get the right bait, and still using Major fishing trophies. Did you also have Major Loot Luck Trophies up as well? Maybe that had an effect as well?

I've couple questions. 1) Why 300 Focus ? (only 250 gives bonuses) 2) Why are you wearing Vengeful Boots instead of Fierce Boots ? (For legendery ? if you spam 3 stars youll get a lot chest and 2-3 legendery) Thank you love your content

AMAZING! Still only 155 in fishing and while I'm in no rush this does make me wanna fish more to get the legendries to make the trophies. So by going on what you've tested are you saying that 2 or 3 of the same of ANY level do NOT stack? 3 minor are the same as a single minor?

And it's all changing thanks to the video too! Thank goodness I now have plenty of fish to make the trophies I now need to benefit the most! What a lifesaver~

I have aptitude 43 fishing presently. I used to do the one trophy of each type. With the recent update, they supposedly fixed the trophies. So I swapped to all major. I have lucky waters 3 for all gear, and lucky day/night on pole. All majors and all lucky waters was yielding sometimes nothing but treasure chests from t3 hotspots. Before the update, with 1 trophy of each type, I used to get more legendary fish by far, at least like 66% per t3 hotspot. I was told in global chat that using all Vengeful gear had a hidden perk that was increasing luck despite not all the pieces having Lucky Waters 3 on them. So I swapped to that and back to using the tiered trophies and I can't tell yet if that helped. What do you think we should do?

Logged on Wednesday to a ban for cheating. The appeal only said their team upholds my ban. Won’t say how I cheated or anything. I did however grind that amazing fishing tip HARD! As I have no idea why I was banned, curious if anyone here got banned as well? I’m just trying to find out why I got banned. If anyone has a tip on how I can find out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Nah the fishing wasnt an exploit, they even changed the trophy's on PTR to add more luck sorta, so must have been something esle, unless someone reported you fishing thinking you where a bot ?

Read a few posts online, seems I will never know what caused the ban. Someone could have thought I was a bot as they would have noticed me rushing to all the 3 star spots lol. I second guessed the process as I spent 15k on the fishing hood, so worth it. I’d spend 50k for that hood just to power through fishing! I LOVED this video! Thank you

so, the size tables are a little strange but essentially they are all 0/60000/90000 for small/med/large armor perks give 3000/4000/5000 size points per piece of Fishing Colossus 1/2/3 And pole perks are 15000/20000/25000 for Day/Night and Salt/Fresh Colossus 1/2/3 finally bait is 15000/30000/50000 for meat|fish, Clam|Snail, Oyster|Eel. so you can have FC3 on all five pieces (25k) and a Day/Fresh Colossus 3 Pole (50k), and then you only need meat or fish bait to hit 90k and always get large fish

Does your fishing level affect your fishing luck? I am now 150ish and only gain Chests and 1-3 legendary fish per spot. I am asking, because I wonder how I got into the "chests-only" luck-spot so early. Anyway 200 chests later it turns out that traveling to new spots and searching for them is quite fun.

Your best bet, and fastest coin is going to be in smaller items, and with the changes coming you could prepare now... With the introduction of many more starmetal and orichalcum viens the price of flux is going to go way up, so stock that till patch day, also farm a few thousand hyssop every day, bumbleblossom, oil, these things sell for almost 1 coin per and can be easily farmed

1 Star = 20 mins 2 star = 30 mins 3 star = 40 mins So best thing to do is fast travel between them hitting them all

Oh also, leave the hotspot, if you sit camping it, it will take forever to respawn, it seems they work like the mobs, if you leave then return it respawns much much faster

so......is new world still being played at decent levels? I have a copy I preordered but never logged into. I figured it was a dead game. I dont care to start it up only to find 20 people on the server or everyone have infinite gold from previous exploits.

no it is far from dead, now it isnt what it was on launch, but if u join a med / high pop youll have a decent population 1700/2000 etc

@@alexbrowne9566 150k players total wouldnt matter if there are too few active players to establish a stable economy on each server. Also, like I pointed out, I dont want to play on a server where everyone has 50 billion gold due to previous (hopefully) fixed exploits or bugs. I'll give it a chance though.

So overall you made like 2k. Over billion hours , could just ran 4 small quest and Made the same , I'm still not convinced 😐 fishing seems just painful , I'm at 32 and it's just awful everything else is like 1938382929 and fishing is 32. For a reason , it boring, it has almost no profit , and beyond time consuming
