Bol and McLaughlin are of the best 400m runners of all time, I cannot wait for any races they participate in. Put them together, and as you say, sparks are going to fly!
That's if Mclaughlin stops writing books and starts running again. She has been focusing more on her religion and such than what gave her fame in the first place.
You can’t put Bol with McLaughlin in the same bracket because McLaughlin is miles ahead of Bol each time they’ve raced together in the last few years. Therefore the 400m hurdles belongs only to McLaughlin
Bol just keeps improving more and more, she made that world record look effortless, she has such a smooth and relaxed running style it literally looks like she is jogging, cant wait to see what she does in the olympics
This channel has a habit of promoting athletes from the USA sometimes unfairly. This video was to be about Bold world record but ended up making Bol look inferior to Sydney McLaughlin. Bols world record wasnt even about hurdles. This channel is my go to for updates and confirmation with anything track and field cos you produce very good contents but pls do try to allow the achievements of athletes from other countries other than the US be recognized and be appreciated as much as u do for the US athletes
@vonbrave The fact is he dedicated an entire video to a Dutch athlete. It was very much extoling Bol's achievements. You act as if the narrator is claiming he knows who is better. He very clearly asked for other people's opinions at the end of the video. We in the US are a people which is one of the the most ethnically diverse in the world. Do you think arbitrary borders are going to make us fail to see greatness elsewhere? Besides her speed what is so amazing is Bol's stamina. She never seems to take a layoff from training and competition.
You will soon realize that everything bol does will be in comparison to Sydney as long as she remains in hurdles. Similar to when he talks about Noah and his 200m achievements. It’s impossible to mention it without comparing it to the world record holder Usain Bolt.
@@kc5466 Bol has a choice of going against her in the 400m and/or the 400 meter hurdles. She could avoid her or go head to head in the same event. Either way she could win. McLaughlin is not Bolt.
@@vernonfrance2974 Bolt is an Olympic champion, world champion, and world record holder. McLaughlin is also all of those things as well. But you’re right McLaughlin isn’t Bolt. But it’s femke whose chasing Sydney’s records not the other way around. Because of that dynamic, you can’t mention femke without mentioning the record holder Sydney.
I appreciate the production quality of this video. Yall brought the drama that is often overlooked in the track videos ive seen. Bravo! I had to subscribe. Also, this Olympic race is gonna bring on some fireworks! I think Bol is gonna take it. I'm assuming the Dutch have a program that isn't as distracting for athletes and having Klaver as a trainer partner is a recipe for success. I do hope Sydney brings the 🔥 tho
Both women are truly incredible. This year's Olympics will be incredible to watch. Both women owning WR times. It's great to see such gifted athletes poised to have a great showdown at these Olympic Games. 💪🏻🙏🏻✨
Bol's been improving so much and racing consistently injury free - McLaughlin is the underdog now with her poor end to 2023 and lack of racing. Will be a great rematch if Sydney shows up!
Imagine being a once in a generation national talent like Lieke Klaver, only to have someone even better come on the scene just behind you, so you'll always play second fiddle when it comes to making headlines and sponsorships.
Tokyo race of the Olympics was the 400 hurdles race final ... but not the women's race! Warholms extreme record with Benjamin running 101% of his max to set a 46.1x time that would beat any other race in history as well, was THE moment in T&F in Tokyo.
That was such an amazing race, agreed. The women were hitting more signature races overall, but that was the race that popped into my head when he said THE moment in Tokyo.
Femke Bol and Lieke Klaver are currently the fastest women in the world in their discipline. And we have 2 women who don't make a difference, but can keep up. So that bodes well for the 4 x 400 meters at the Olympic Games in Paris. I look forward. Greetings from the Netherlands.
at the Olympics women’s 4x100 will have Jamaica and US battling for gold. Men’s 4x100 will be decided between US, Italy, Jamaica, and Canada. The men’s 200 will be decided between Noah, erriyon, and letsile for gold. That doesn’t make me a fortune teller. What are predictions good for if any prediction is a claim of being a fortune teller. The indoor women’s 400m world championships will be decided in over a week. My prediction is femke will win gold and klaver and Alexis Holmes will battle for silver. Is that evidence of me being a fortune teller as well? Or is that based on the data provided and historical patterns?
@kc5466 you know that relays can be unpredictable and what you say is very obvious yes. And we all know, like with investing that historical data makes an activity in the future no certainty.
@@lammie1000 relays have been far more predictable than individual sprint events. However, I’m not claiming my predictions are certain to happen. I’m just saying the data provided makes my predictions a good bet.
It is quite easy to see how Bol will perform in 2024. She is always very consistent and consistently getting better. So I would be surprised if she does not go under 51 seconds in 2024 with the extra flat speed and the extra year of getting used to 14 stride. So in the equation the big question mark is Sydney. Which event will she even run in Paris? If it is the hurdles, can she take another step up? Hard to say as she has not hurdled since 2022 and she was further than Bol in her development curve, having started at a much younger age. If she does take a step up, it will be hard for Bol to beat her. If she does not, I do think there is a reasonable chance that Bol will beat her.
Sydney missed her chance to break the open 400m world record. She should have raced the 400 in her first European track meet right after the 2022 World Championships. 2023 was a lost season for Sydney. And now Femke Bol is coming for everything.🥇🥇🥇
Having now won WC 400mH Gold last yr, anyone else want to see Femke devote 2025 to only training for & running the flat 400m & go for WC 400m Gold in Tokyo?! S/O Lieke Klaver's 50.10 PB, #9 all-time in the indoor 400m, so close to sub 50s!
I want that. I really want to see her and Syd come close to 47. I feel even now a low 48 is possible for Fem and Syd(assuming she's healthy). Hopefully they both go for it next year.
@@jimpowell2296Bol is not a number here because focus is on 400mh Olympic Final. And for 400m outdoor dont forget Worldchamp Paulino who ran also 48.7 last year. And maybe healthy Nasser returns with low 48s PB.
Lieke Klaver is a world champion as well. And furthermore not bad at all to be second in the world. Nothing to be disappointed about, she is a phenomenon.
also take into account that her slower time this year was in the prelims for this world record breaking final. same is the case for 3 of her last years times indoor, 1 was a prelim on the nationals and 2 were prelims in the european champs. same will happen this year at the worlds, there will be 2 slower times for the prelims. her coach said that this WR wasnt the perfect race by quite a bit and that she can run faster. for paris i hope sydney will also race the 400m hurdles (i even doubt if its wise to do both the 400m and the 400m hurdles since she was injured past year). i think it will be a real battle this time. i think femke will for sure run below 51 so that wont be a sure gold for sydney, since she only ran below 51 herself 1 time in her life.
Also things to consider Femke ran her times indoors. I wouldn't think that would be a factor, but times are always faster outdoors so it is difficult to compare indoor versus outdoor times to predict how athletes will do against each other. I am sure Femke will be improving, but so will Sidney as well which makes for a great story along with a great race. The one runner I wanted to continue in the open 400m is Shaunae Miller-Uibo. She I believe still holds the record in the 47s, but she may be concentrating on the 200m in 2024 instead. For sure Femke and and Sidney will have all the eyes on them, but it would be nice to see other runners in contention(i.e. Dalilah Muhammad, Britton Wilson) for the 400m H as well as the open 400m runs....
@@cobramanphil yes, i think that definitely makes a huge difference, but Femke has 2 peak moments in the season, the indoor euro's or worlds and the outdoor world or olympics. she only runs 400 meter flat outdoor when shes in the middle of hard training periods and usually only at the start of her outdoor season. so thats probably why her times outdoor are not up to her true potential.
I agree totally - I ran 53.5 in high school track and it felt like I was sprinting on rocket fuel. I cannot conceive of going 3+ seconds faster. Just amazing. Yes, the men are even faster, but still... this is FAST and it's hard to appreciate unless you've tried it.
I think this is as good of a sign for the Netherlands relay teams as much as anything, considering Klaver also ran a phenomenal 50.10. Not only does Bol have the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 8th fastest times this year so far, but Klaver has the 4th, 6th, 7th, and 10th fastest. Between them they have 8 of the 10 fastest races this year. We all saw what happened in the mixed relay in Budapest last year, but I think this Netherlands team is looking to be back with a vengance.
It takes 4 to run a good relay. To be honest I am more interested in the progression of Peeters and Saalberg and the times on the men's side. Cause that is where there is the most time to win for the Netherlands. If the USA bring their A-team and don't screw it up technically the rest is running for silver.........but that are 2 big IF's.
The Netherlands vs USA will be fun at the Olympics. McLaughlin will defeat Bol in the 400m and the USA will win the 400m relay. My opinion. This duel will feed excitement til the Olympics begin.
@@wilcoschipstal6417 Regarding the women's 4x400. Peeters is already 1s faster than she was a year ago, she ran an indoor PB of 52.01 this weekend. She seems to be consistently progressing still, she's easily the third fastest Dutch runner in that relay team right now. Personally I think the 4th spot is still up for grabs. Lisanne de Witte (53.04) ran faster this weekend than Saalberg (53.42), but unfortunately had to pull out of the final due to falling ill. Saalberg has a better PB but De Witte seems more in form so far. Will be interesting to see who runs in the final, and how well they can perform against the US team (also curious who will run on that team).
If you take the ratio between Kratochvilova's indoor and outdoor PB's in the 400m (49.59 to 47.99) and use that on Bol's indoor WR, then that time would have "equated" to a 47.65 on an outdoor track. Not necessarily saying that she'll go that sort of time, but it's fun to theorize...
Great video, as usual. You certainly help build excitement to a potential clash of the titans. I would have liked, just a moment, to see Sydney's and Femke's times side by side for each distance (and the date they were achieved), on screen to see how close they are (or not). Overall, the video gave me a feeling of Femke is still improving, but not quite at Sydney's level, or the level Sydney was at in 2020. Is Sydney still at that level though, or is Femke striding ever closer to Sydney? That is the question! It's going to be another great event(s) if and when they meet at the Olympics.
Following this incredible athlete since 2022 who has been improving every day. I think she can win 4 medals in paris. 400H, 400 OPEN, 4x400 relay and Mixed 400
Very interesting training protocol. Lot's of aerobic work/extensive tempo, and no race pace intervals over 150m. A pure long sprinter, she won't run too many 200s/100s. Excellent training regime. My money is on her to beat Sydney.
So nice to see Femke Bol getting these records to further wash away the roid era. Plus Bol and Klaver have such poise and class!!!! It seems like Bol is setting up to defeat you know who!
Watch Femke Bol's upper body movements and mechanics. It is perfect. You don't have to have a big and powerful upper body to augment your running. You just have to have efficient and effective movement and mechanics. Femke Bol has perfect use of her upper body to augment her already strong lower body. I think one of the reasons her running style is so effective is she has a slender, but strong upper body.
Sydney’s better over the hurdles. Her form’s a lot tighter. I don’t think she can beat Bol in the flat at this point, though. Not unless Bob Kersee’s got Sydney juiced.
Anytime femke talks I can’t help but smile 😊 I wanna say she could give a prime in shape Sydney a run for her money in outdoor open 400. They could go low low 48
@@kc5466 Ah yes, those past accolades gets her wins automatically before she touches the track. Perhaps athletes should not even bother showing up for races she enters in from now on due to her resume. 🙄 Now don't get me wrong, if and that's a big if because nobody knows, McLaughlin is in tip top shape and at her best she beats Bol everytime. She has higher top end speed, something Bol can't match just yet. Kersee's strategy better pay off because he got Sydney and Athing barely competing in the prime of their athletic careers.
@@sonojahHigher top end speed? Femkes WR indoors 49.24 must valued about 48.3 outdoors. And did you notice the ease in her strides? Her coach Laurent Meuwly afterwards said she certainly kept something in reserve for the world championships in Glasgow end next week. Meuwly: “Tests pointed out that Femke has improved in all aspects: raw speed, endurance and power.” So maybe you should reconsider your causally assumption about top end speed.
@@michaeldeierhoi4096 Sure, thats true. She has to race it first. But meaningless? Jarmila Kratochvilova, the woman she last year took the indoor WR from after 41 years (!), still holds the WR on 800 outdoors. And also she is second on the all time 400 outdoor list with 47.99. And you call that meaningless? Ms. McLaughlin Levrone only tenth on that list. And of course you saw the ease with which Femke Bol broke her own WR to 49,24. I would call that promising, not meaningless.
If you had Femke Bol and Lieke Klaver stand beside each other and asked the average person who they thought was the 400m indoor world record holder I would say 100% of them would point to Klaver. Bol's body type looks more like a distance runner then a 400 m record holder. I also love Bol's attitude and personality.
Bol's advantage is that she has a lot of leg, and only a lightwight body to move. That is actually an advantage on the 400m where the effort of having to move such a heavy musculated body is starting to count on the last 100 or 150 meters.
I guess I don't necessarily agree (no offense). Maybe if you were talking about a 100-meter sprinter, but the best 400-meter runners of recent memory are not uber-muscular or 'blocky'. (Not criticizing Klaver's build.)
Yes, the average person might. 400 doesn't require 100% power like a short sprint. Also, trends are changing Noah Lyles is a very thin guy, thin legs 5' 11, 155. Some more muscled guys can beat him the first 30 meters than he blows them away.
@@rientsdijkstra4266 I guess all you sprinting experts didn't read the words "average person". It fascinates me how quickly narcissists want to show the world how little they know.
Sydney has recently raced about two times per year, I find it very hard to believe that she will run in two events in Paris. Her team seem to be all about avoiding every possible risk of her losing a race.
@@rulifaller8474 you said her team is all about avoiding every possible risk of her losing a race. But last year in Sydney’s first meet she ran the 400 against mareiledy Paulino, salwa Eid naser, and Candice McLeod. If you’re not aware 2 of the people I mentioned were 48 second sprinters before. So if Sydney’s team was trying avoid having her lose a race. Why would they put her into the lions den in her first race as opposed to a continental gold meet where no one is capable of running sub 50? Similar to what they did with Shelly Ann last season. Putting her in races where no one can run sub 11 in 100m and basically guaranteeing her a win.
@@kc5466 ok Well now I do understand what you mean, and yes I do no who those 400m ladies are. Let me clarify myself then. I meant risk of loosing at championships, clearly the only race they care about, ie not running in august 2023 with some very minor issue because maybe just maybe that might have some effect on the preparation for a race that is a year away. So do you actually expect her to go for the double in Paris?
@@rulifaller8474 I don’t think it’s possible to double in Paris based on the scheduling but it is possible to double at her Olympic trials considering how spread out the events are and she may do that. Then after she may decide which of the events she will pursue at the Olympics. Sydney doing the hurdles satisfies the media and fans because of the Sydney vs femke dynamic. Her doing the 400m flat is about legacy and becoming an Olympic champ and possible world record holder in a second discipline. Only two athletes can say they are both Olympic champion and world record holder in two sprint events. Sydney could be the third.
I'm all set to root hugely for Sydney, but am enormously impressed by Femke Bol. I'm glad you also mentioned Klaver, and if Dalilah Muhammad is expected to run in Paris I would've mentioned her too.
wow femke bol is so fantasic , huge runner who was so improved in her last few years , also lieke claver is a very good runner and helped to push bol for a new heights and for this huge record , it will be a fabulous to follow and very inresting to watch the battle of the giants between the two phenomenal runners bol and mclaughlin and both can push the other one to another historic feat
I wanna see how Sydney McLaughlin will debut her season. Sydney, Bol, Richardson, and Abby Steiner, and Ewa swoboda are my favorite female sprinters this season.
My favourite sprinter last year is the same this year - Julian Alfred! That girl got (wo)manhandled last year in the Worlds in Budapest. This won't happen again! - She has now seen real competition, she is a year older and more mature and ready to peak her career over the next 10 yrs. Imho - 2024 will be ETH vs Alfred vs SR for the 100m with SJ and SAFP making up 4th/5th and SJ running away with the 200 (again).
I'm not surprised about it.... Fenke Bol has also changed program of speed up last year. (More precisely as a ex 400 dash ). She must have had on her planning training more sessions of pure and repetitive sessions of 6x of 80mt with Short of breath such a minute and straight and after 5 minutes 150mt last One to complete the day . That's why assuming she has improved and makes the New 200mt record at 22.64 even though i believe she can run easily at 22.2 at max her Best not less. But for me won't change the much as a far i remember Sidney has made a crazy 35.6 at her first 400 dash finish the race with brave at 49.76. Beaten by Paulino. Therefore don't see any serious rivality im afraid is much more hard to beat that amazing talent. Hopefully to be proven wrong until than Sidney has pretty huge margins to improve and go close to rhe new world record.
This is my favorite athletics channel on YT. So well done that I wished you'd cover the multi event track and field disciplines as well, like decathlon and heptathlon. Would love the see a video like this on Nafi Thiam for example.
@@kc5466 No. I said that because they have the #1 and #3 runners this year. If their next two runners are even close, the four of them would be quite a challenge.
It wouldn’t make a difference. Have a look at this! This is a possible A team for America. Gabby Thomas: 49.68 Athing Mu: 49:57 Britton Wilson: 49:13 Sydney McLaughlin: 48:74 The world record is 3:15:17 set by the Soviet Union. The only team since 2000 to run below 3:17 seconds is the US from 2012 and 2021 Olympics. And that time from the 2021 Olympics is 3:16:85 and good enough for 5th all time. And that time is more than a second off the record and that team had Sydney, athing mu, Delilah Muhammad, and Allison Felix in it. Netherlands best time ever is from last year and that time was 3:20:72. That is more than 5 seconds off the record. I look at America’s depth and I still struggle to think if they could threaten the record even though they’re less than 2 seconds off. But Netherlands best being 5 seconds off and you think that team can pose a threat to the record? Netherlands A team would be beaten by America’s A team by at least 3 seconds. And even America don’t think they can break the record despite them being the best suited to challenge for it. That’s why I think it’s irrational to say you think some team can break the record simply because they’re running pb’s indoors and they have a couple of new people joining in. Netherlands should try to run a sub 3:20 second relay before they think about challenging for the record.
I am so looking forward to Bol and McLaughlin race against eachother. 2 amazing athletes and they deserve eachothers presence to help push for an amazing achievement.
They should be racing against each other regularly and it should be a blockbuster matchup every time... but it takes two to tango and only one wants to show up these days.
I don’t think Sydney sees femke as a rivalry like how everyone else does. Sydney saw Delilah Muhammad as a rivalry because Delilah actually beat her and had better times. That doesn’t apply to Sydney vs femke at all. Sydney has the better times at the events they both compete in and Sydney is unbeaten against her.
@@kc5466 were gunna make claims about how someone views someone else now? We know what Sydney ran 2 seasons ago. When she competed in 400mH. We know what Bol is capable of now. Time to stop living in the past
@@Magnusfication you’re literally claiming how someone view someone right now. Neither one has ever labeled it a rivalry. The media and the fans did. So like I said Sydney probably doesn’t see it as a rivalry as much as femke not seeing a femke vs shamier little as much of a rivalry.
@@kc5466 The problem is that Syd is the last hurdle (pardon the pun) left. Femke has beaten everybody else several times over and is streets ahead of them. This has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt by this point, so the only question we have is whether she is closer to Syd than she was before, and the problem is that Syd almost never runs, and when she does it's almost invariably on home turf in advantageous circumstances because they're two very different athletes psychologically with very different preferences for competition. Femke hasn't got close to Syd's record times, but she has improved her best several times since they last squared off, now regularly runs a faster pace than she was doing last time we saw them head to head, and Syd fans tend to use Syd's WR PB as a yardstick as though she will run that time each and every time she takes to the track. On Syd's best day vs. Femke's best day, Syd still wins... but Femke runs a lot even when it isn't her best day which Syd tends not to, and we've hardly seen her run anything at all (not to mention fans in Europe for whom Bol is one of the main audience draws these days have only had two chances to see McLaughlin run anywhere at all since 2019 - one event in Hungary in 2022 and one in France in 2023) to give meaningful indications of her form, so we get this endless back and forth about hypotheticals of what would happen if she was there. But you have to be in it to win it. And of course the endless speculation is hardly helped by certain McLaughlin fans who will jump on any video about Bol to complain that the video isn't titled something like "Bol breaks indoor WR, but McLaughlin would have been faster".
It would be a great showdown for sure. Maybe both she and Syd should both gun for 400 and 400h. With Syd racing so little, it is difficult to say. But it would see Femke may have it in her. Klaver? Don't forget her... She may be in Femke's perpetual shadow, but...
It’s interesting to me how this post-Bolt, post-Farah era has seen an emergence in attention to hurdling events, especially the 400mH. Bolt dominated lower distances of course, Farah the long, and now we see Warholm, Holloway, Rai, Bol, McLaughlin, and even Devon Allen and Muhammad rewrite hurdle history! Interetsing progression in running in my opinion?
Me (a dutch person) just hopes she doesnt fall of like dafne schippers did. Wich btw can you pls make a vid on that? I think she has a chance to beat sydney mclaughlin if (if sydney shows up for god sake)
Femke & Sydney could realy help eachother. After Femkes Golden 400mh race in Paris Olympics Sydney is willing to write a book for Femke. "Femke's golden race at Paris Olympics." Sydney will together with Femke do TV roadshows promoting Femke's book. 😂😅
Would love to see Bol & McLaughlin go head to head in the Olympics. But, not going to happen. They're competing in different individual events. As for who wins gold in their events, hard to say because of potential injuries & other elite sprinters who have improved & also hungry for gold. Anyway, it's going to be exciting . . . go Bol . . . . go McLaughlin!
Lot of records going down already this year. My most favorite one was Tebogo's. With that time he got, he can go 42 seconds in 400m. And hes just getting started.
Don't reply on who will win. That's just sad. Athletes are not rivals, they compete against themselves. If you don't get that you are not a track and field athlete. Words like dominance, challenge and rivals ... sad just sad. We compete against eachother, but above all we respect eachothers efforts to compete.
I can't see Bol beating McLaughlin's 400H record, her hurdling form isn't quite as smooth as it should be. I believe Bol will be a better 400 flat runner than McLaughlin though. Her strength is improving all the time, she's got better basic speed, and her physical advantages are obvious.
In answer to your question about Femke, and where to look out for her in 2024 - I would like to say, the 400m relay in Glasgow, but I have heard that they need two new girls to come in, start to learn the ropes and come on, and grow in strrngth. I hope for a good time in the flat 400m in Silesia; a good race, and to be there. And then, the race to really look out for is Femke in the 400m in Rome in the second week of June at the Euopean Championships.
Tebogo ran a 45 400m in new racing flats insane dude and bol is a great indoor and outdoor athlete, might have a better channce in the 400 then the 400mH against syd
I believe that given the chance Femke will beat Sydney, though it would seem that Sydney has moved to the 400 flat, and as Femke will race the 400 hurdles in Paris, they will likely only meet in the Relay.
Hate to be a party pooper but the Olympic schedule will probably deter either Femke or Sydney doubling up. The 400m hurdles first round on August 4, followed by the first round of the 400m flat the following day. The next day is the hurdles semis and the day after that is the flat semis. All that before the finals. Swapping events every other day plus the risk of niggling injury or fatigue will sadly preclude a showdown.
I'm no expert but shouldn't both of them be good enough to get through the first round and semis without pushing to the limit? It's good to be cautious about injuries, but better 2 chances at gold than 1.
Hurdles and flat are very different mindsets (and techniques). The hurdles, in particular, is about stride pattern so it is very difficult to slow your pace and still make the hurdles. In fact you are much more likely to hit one. There is too much at stake, hence Sydney not doing either event at the World's last year and Femke only doing the hurdles. They may double up but I would be very, very surprised if either did.@@DreamteamCarlo
@@DreamteamCarlo It's really pushing things with the current schedule ito do the double. You might end up with zero gold instead of one. Femke has already stated she won't double and I think that's smart as she is an essential part of the Dutch mixed- and women's 4x400 relay. Sydney hasn't declared anything yet, but my guess is she would have already petitioned for a re-schedule if she was planning a double...
@@martinjansen3834 Oh, thanks. No, I doubt Sidney has run an indoor 400 since she just started running the 400 last year (I think). It was all 400 hurdles previously.

Femke will beat Sydney Mclaughlin, in 400m and 400mh. They are both amazing athletes and it will be very close. In the case that Sydney is still ahead, Femke will use here "Budapest 4x400 relay finish acceleration".
Femke can absolutely get the outdoor 400 record. If she can look that relaxed breaking her own indoor record? The outdoor record is just a matter of good weather, a good track and her feeling right. And given how she runs, she might not even get to the heart of the season to do it.
@@rayflaherty3441 she beat the previous indoor record by 3 tenths last year and just cruised to a better time than that. And there's a pretty big difference between indoor and outdoor times. Two laps of a 200 meter track does not allow for the sort of performance one lap of a 400 meter outdoor track does. With the speed she has indoors, give her the easier conditions of an outdoor track and she'd absolutely smash 48 flat and be closer to 47 than 48. And she can absolutely push for more.
