Previously there's no champion for both 100m and 200m breastroke together. This guy seems to be the first, smashing the 200m record. Now it's down to Adam Peaty's 100m record. It's going to be a battle when the King of 100m returns..
China Central Television owns the exclusive right to broadcast the World Swimming Championships in China, but tonight, CCTV will broadcast the opening ceremony of the Universiade, but will not broadcast the swimming live, and missed this exciting competition.
Yep... I like it : an efficient low stroke rate. With strong pull and kick that results in strong propulsion to move his body farther. He is the breaststroke version of the likes of Ian Thorpe, Yannick Agnel in 200m freestyle. Only in the last 50m, he increased the stroke rate.
Sun Yang didn't use stimulants, but he couldn't question the officials who came to his house in the middle of the night? Why should I let you take the urine sample bottle when you can't get the qualified certificate?
@@tweedy4sg well now that China got caught yet again, how can you not see all Chinese like that. how do you feel now that the 23 swimmers from China were doped and WADA swept it under the rug? Whether the athletes knew or not, they still had drugs in their system
OK the Chinese won and broke the world record, it's good for him and his country's propaganda ^^, but I would like to see him vs Léon Marchand too. Léon whose breaststroke is the great specialty and the strong point. Léon didn't run the 200m Breaststroke because of the race times and because he chose to focus on the flagship races that mark the greatest complete swimmers in the world, the 4x200m and 4x100m Medleys. And the 4x100m Medley final that Léon won (like the 4x200m Medley) was to close to this one there...
We will see at Paris next year. If the schedule is convenient, we can expect a good race among Qin, Leon and Zac Cook, like in the 200m free final at Athens 2004 Olympic where 3 superstars : Ian Thorpe, Peter van den Hoogenband and Michael Phelps competed.
I think Marchand could challenge this world record in the next couple of years. Though he set a best time of 2:06~, after breaking a WR and winning 3 golds, the odds are low he would've gone 2:05
