Thanks for the excellent comparison. I just ordered a green TS22 XHP70.2 5K. I read somewhere else a Sofirn SP35 tactical tail switch will fit the TS22, but it only comes in black.

Sawadee krub! I was looking for a definitive comparison of the Wurkkos TS-22 4700K and the 5000K and subbed to your channel after watching it. The only options on Lazada were the 5000K and 6000K versions and ended choosing the 70.2 emitter 5000K. The official store did not have the TSS22 70.3 4700K model for some reason. Anyway, I don't know if I should return the TS22 5000K one because its tint is a bit too yellow compared to the Sofirn IF23 which I had also purchased from the Sofirn store. Wurkkos responded by saying I could buy the TS22 XHP70.3 6000K if I wanted whiter colored light. I replied to them that I was more interested in a longer ranged "throwy" model like the FC13, TD04 or the TS11 with the optional 18650 tube. Wurrkos promptly sent me an offer for their *new* TS23 5000 lumen (yes, TS23 and not TS22) model with a tactical rear tail switch, instead of the TS22's side button. It uses the same 21700 battery like the TS22. The new model has a special ribbed thermo-electric ribbed lamp head that helps to cool down the temperature much faster than the TS22. The emitter is the XHP 70.3 HI CRI 6000-6500K LED with a boost driver. There is a new yellow color on the LED that indicates the battery power to be between 50%-75% which I think that other Wurkkos light don't have. So now the LED will indicate green, yellow and red. Advertised maximum distance is 482 meters vs 191m for the TS22, therefore this model Now, no one on RU-vid has reviewed the TS23 that I know of. Should I go ahead and buy the TS23 or wait until you have compared it against the TS22? It costs more than the TS22 about RM233 (approximately 1,790 Baht) but I get some further discount since I've been buying Wurkkos 18650 batteries from the store, including the TS22 5000K. Should I go ahead and order the TS23 or wait for a while? Wurkkos is giving me a free nylon holster with the purchase as a promotion. 😀

I also have these two in my hands flashlights. I agree with you - 70.2 is much brighter than 70.3. Also 70.2 more floody. Thermal control in the turbo works faster in the version 70.3. The light is more pleasing to the eyes in the version 70.3, but white color displays better oddly enough 70.2. These flashlights are very similar and so different in terms of light.

Turbo modes - both are impressive. What would you say about the high modes in both? I have 70.2 but I see 70.3 is a tad brighter in high mode and the flood in high is not so narrower in 70.3 than it is in 70.2(?) My impression is that 70.3 is better if you look at how it works in the high mode (better throw = you can see more, but not at the cost of flood).

Works as fully tactical flashlight with any tail switches from Wurkkos or Sofirn tactical switch.

Hello! Thanks for the great comparison. It seems to me that 70.2 has some tint shift from the center of the beam to periphery, right? Not very noticeable on video, but it's there, isn't it? How does it look in person? IIRC, this is an issue with all domed XHP emitters, to different degrees, and it disappears on dedomed XHP HI versions. Tint shifts are one thing that can drive me crazy))

70.2 5000k ts22 headlamp would be very NICE, hopefully wurkkos does it

Does this light still have the auto lockout feature? I know sofirn updated their sc33 model and you can now turn off the auto lockout, So I wasn't sure if wurkkos did The same thing

I got my 70.2 5000k version, i wish it would sustain the turbo mode longer but it heats up very quick. It's a great even flooder though. I also have the SC33 which is 70.3 HICRI which has a hotspot that throws just a little bit more due to the beam profile. I also have the EDC35 which is the best thrower I have to pair with the 70.2 5000k flooder. The SC33 is good for a general use torch by itself. Now i'm considering the TS32 for a more serious flooder. 😂 The bonus is the TS32 spotlight mode will also throw further than the EDC35?

WK, How does TS22 with XHP 70.3 HI CRI compare with Sofirn SC33 (also 70.3 HI CRI)?

I will choose 70.3 because it shines farther than 70.2. In version 70.2, the light spreads wider and more evenly. But in version 70.3 the light is more concentrated and can shine farther

Thx for your reviews. But I don`t see the significant difference between 70.3 HiCRI and 70.2 in color rendering. They differ a little bit. How is XHP 70.3 HiCRI in comparison in color rendering/beam with HiCRI Nichia 519A/B35AM and GT FC-40? Is the XPH 70.3 HiCRI is more powerful and energy efficient (may be cooler) but weak in terms of light/rendering/beam quality?

Much prefer flood lights myself, I purchased TS22 70.2. Any other lights like this that you would recommend to add to my collection?

By the way , I came across a 70.3 HI CRI 4700-5300K diode in sc33 . Although the box just said XHP70 D HI 4700-5300K. That's the kind of randomness that happens.
