I used to be a huge Undisputed Championship fan, I thought that was the best belt ever, now im starting to realise Bret Hart is right, this is the best belt design ever
The one main issue I have with this updated winged eagle belt. The title is NOT authentic to what it is. The championship was the WWF title not WWE or WW logo .
I have 3 belts, Cena spinner, blue WWE universal, and now this dual platted wing eagle. This is by far the best replica I have. Going to events I’ve seen belts and haven’t been impressed but this one is a game changer. The extra money is well worth it for the attention to detail it has. 10 out of 10 and this video helped me decide.
I'm about to purchase this tomorrow night. I was going to get a send out strap for one of my other belts, but when i saw the price they're selling it for (just under $200), I had to shift gears, and grt this one. It's my Holy Grail. It'll be my fifth belt.
Great review again. I own both, the old Winged Eagle and this New Winged Eagle and I love the new one. So glad they finally attached the side bars, the way the leather hangs from the main plate, and they have FINALLY centered the WW logos on all the plates. They are no longer off center.
i'm on a fence thinking about getting a new one but doesn't it bother you that the new one has partially silver colored instead of fully colored in gold? that's my main issue, i know i'm nitpicking but just wanted an opinion before i move on
What are the chances of the nickel in this one turning pink? I just got this one in the mail and absolutely LOVE it…ur reviews have kept me company while I was waiting…lol
At the current sale price of £220 it was a no brainer really, Great looking belt but wish the heavyweight banner was black & not sure i am confident enough that i wouldn't completely mess it up to risk painting it
@@asb1619 was 220 in december when i bought it, currently 315 but belts are pretty much always on sale on euroshop & if you keep looking you generally get to spot which ones sometimes get 50% off compared to some others that only ever seem to get 20-25% off. There is yet another sale on now but again this time it is mostly signature series belts with £180 or so off them. On another note anyone know where Paul is? no videos for a couple of months now
@@buffyfantastico Thanks for your response buddy, I appreciate it. By the time I read your comment about it being £220, I'd already pulled the trigger at £315 so first thing today I phoned the wwe online shop and cancelled the order. I don't mind waiting to pick it up at around £220; the chances are there will be stronger discounts on Black Friday and Christmas and £220 is a great price. What's your opinion of the belt? I only want one belt as a display item and I chose this one.
@@asb1619 It looks great other than the heavyweight banner not being painted black. Guess it's down to personal preference but to me it looks like there is something missing in the middle without it & really wish they had painted it like they do with all their other winged eagles
@@buffyfantastico I think you're right. The belt would have looked better had the "heavyweight" wording been painted black, although I believe the original also did not have it and this is what the replica is based on!
Im more into non logoed belts myself but the one wwe/wwf belt I'd like to see replicated again with the way the replica belts have more detail in them nowadays, is the Hogan 86 belt one of the most underrated belts I can think of right off the bat, but I dig this design maybe a possibility of me getting this Idk yet
Great vid! Really answered a lot of my own naïve questions. There is just something so special about the Winged-Eagle belt. I’ve often said if there was only going to be one belt I would finally pull the trigger in purchasing, it would be the Winged-Eagle.
I have never owned a championship belt before but I hope I own this one one day. I have watched all your videos and have learned so much. I hope you do a video on make belt plates soon. Thanks Paul
I wonder if they’ll start doing the normal all gold winged eagle like this with the bars attached. Makes zero sense for them to carry on doing the old version with the bars unattached now
I just ordered one. I love this review and it's one that help me to decide to get it! I bought the original WWF version from Figures Inc. years ago, one of the first ones.. and love it! It was never accurate though. This one will be a great addition to my collection! Thank you, Paul!
@@Sweptupbottle Why? It's my opinion on a belt that I bought. I like it. It's by no means a real belt, but for a replica its one of the best in my opinion. No where near zinc handcrafted that belts I have made, but its decent.
I have the previous version. Was definitely thinking about upgrading to the new replicas. So I'm very interested in a follow-up video. I mean, ill probably upgrade anyway, but I want to see a video justification lol
Excellent video, Paul. I have both the misspelled and the corrected version. I can't say enough about the corrected version. Its been a dream of mine to own a Winged Eagle, but 7k-10k is way too much for me. I love this replica so much and can't wait to get it releathered.
The one thing that bothered me about this belt from the start was the screws being covered when they're not on other replicas, so I'm very interested to see your follow up on the real strap to hear how you managed to remove the plates from the strap. As I've not long bought a 2015 Winged Eagle, I think I'm going to hang fire before putting money down for this one. Good video as always mate. Cheers 🍺
I have a toy version of the winged eagle from Walmart and it does simulate the soft plastic and side bars pretty well like it should but ofc you still can't compare to an actual replica lol
I don't have it in hand yet, but I did order this belt a few days ago. First time I've bought a replica since the yellow IC came out years back. I'm also looking through the shop and see some interesting pieces. Razor Ramon IC looks very cool, any chance you'll do a review video? And compare it to the standard classic IC/yellow iCs? Wondering if the plates are at all upgraded besides the paint differences and the logo plate.
That is my favorite belt, but I don't think I'd ever buy replica belt. I never bought one I just wonder if their worth the amount money you pay. Maybe if I'd collect them and use them as decoration in shelf casings. But for fashion I'd be lury the color would fade I suppose their gold plated.
I have the new WE, only thing I don’t like is how the side bars mess up the sim. leather. I know that’s how it’s supposed to be but still its damaging the belt
where can we get the best replicas with real leather n same curve plate as real belts n wwf logo for a great price if u know can i know please thanks i want 2 start collecting belts but theres all kinds of manufacturers with different options i just want exact replicas for good price thanks
Hey Paul, do you know which version/design of the winged eagle this was based on? A lot of people say WM4, I thought it was the original 1988 version debuted by Hogan
Yes the replica gold colouring is much more yellow if that makes sense. Real 24kt gold is more pale and it shines more consistently as parts of the replica gold can fade much quicker than the real plating. Difficult to explain without a person seeing a replica and a 24kt gold belt side by side tbh.
No one I can recommend I’m afraid. Some do good copies but the consistency of quality is completely flip of a coin. I tend to only recommend official wwe shop replicas because all of those are exactly the same so you know what you’re getting. As you say though no wwf logo on those is a drawback. But I’ve seen far too many unofficial makers show brilliant photo and video examples of their products only for the final piece to be nowhere near what was advertised. So if that’s the route you want to go down just ve sure to know exactly what you’re getting.
@@PaulMartinBeltsthank you for the detailed response. That being said I just ordered my first ever belt. It’s the Big Gold replicate crumrine from WWE shop which finally was re-stocked.
If this would be brought back (as Cody Rhodes is rumored to do), a few modifications would make it look great in the modern era. A larger faceplate would look great for modern wrestlers.
It's the Original Belt that appeared with Hogan on Saturday Nights main event. Reggie had it made and dual plated for Vince. After Savage won the belt, they eventually dropped the dual plating, and Reggie painted in the Heavyweight area as it got lost on the all gold version.
No forwarding services needed, my friend. We can supply most officially licensed replica belts and then releather them/modify them however you need and ship the whole thing to you fully completed and the best it can be, anywhere in the world. Shoot me an email with what you’re after and we can go through pricing and details. Info@pmbelts.com - Tommy
wwe gotta fix the old I.C title replica. the stars on the top is not as close and deeply stamped as the real one... and the banner "champion" is not centered.
You don’t have to go anywhere, cause we’re right here! You can purchase a send out strap on our website here: pmbelts.com/product/2021-wwe-winged-eagle-adult-sized-releathered-replica-belt-2/ And if you want the backing covering the screws, you would have to send us the plates, but the price and way of ordering is the same. If you need further information, drop me an email to: info@pmbelts.com and we can discuss. 😊 - Tommy
This is based off of the very first version of the Winged Eagle which didn’t have the painted Heavyweight banner. The painted banner was introduced on the all gold version of the belt.
This dual plated replica is based off of the very first version of the belt, the one Andre sold to Million Dollar Man I believe. You’re correct later versions of the belt were fully gold and also had the HEAVYWEIGHT banner on the centre plate painted in black to match the other banners.
This replica Winged Eagle is far better than the Smoking skull replica tbh. The smoking skull they currently sell is an older version released in 2014 so it’s not as detailed or as accurate as newer belts like the winged eagle which is a 2021 release. It’s all about which design you prefer in the end but quality wise the WE is the better of the two imo.
Epoxy resin on the plates, and on the back cover you can use anything from rubber cement, Elmer's white, or leather glue which is just more expensive Elmers.
I paid 150$ 4 a 2mm Pakistani bootleg and it's not near as nice as this but I'd rather hav mine cuz F it. Why don't they just use the old school wwf logo? World wildlife ik but, that logo could b construed as anything. Idk
The original version of the Winged Eagle was like this without the paint. The later versions and all gold ones had the black paint. My guess is they’ll release an all gold replica version soon with the black paint on that one.
@@berke8287 Yeah this replica belt is based off of the WM4 version which didn't have the paint. Its also easy to forget but WM4 wasn't the first appearance of the belt. That was when Andre won it and sold it to Ted Dibiase. If you look at that version it doesn't have the painted 'HEAVYWEIGHT' banner, I believe they added the paint to the belt during Randy Savages reign.
