@@goose5873 as a xiao main i can tell you nobody cares if its a xiao set if it barely makes a difference from what we had before. I for example have a way too nice 2-2 piece set for him that took me way too long to farm to switch now unless my luck is like out of this world with my farming for the new domain, and so far its baaad bad

According to r/Xiaomains this new set giving so much ATK% (so much that it kinda hits diminishing returns with ATK% sands) allows Xiao to use an ER sands to fix his energy problems without doing that much worse damage conpared to his 2PC set combinations ( keep in mind this assuming that you are using Bennet for the flat 1100ATK buff ) . And for anybody wondering how much more damage he does with ATK% sands it's a 10-11% personal DMG increase for Xiao and 5-9% team wide DMG increase ( depending on the comp ) , so a similar if not larger difference to , let's say Itto's 1st and 2nd BIS sets , though ATK sands is better if you can have someone battery Xiao properly , this is more if you don't want to use a battery . Edit : to those saying he doesn't have ER issues I have seen shintenzu , one of , if not THE best Xiao speedrunner in the world , need to waste 20 to 30+ seconds in Abyss runs to battery Xiao up ( though admittedly those Abyss lineups were less favorable to Xiao in general ).
Xiao doesn't have that much of an energy issue imo, I don't think he needs an er% sands, just a few substats and he's good to go Also I thought itto's set was much more than just a 10% better
@@user-qx1id1dt8x with a good anemo battery like sucrose who can provide both the particles as well as thrilling tales buff he’s completely fine with jsut substat Er. so yeah er sands is not really required
@@shi-chan5779 A lot of Xiao's problems are with team building because he needs an Anemo battery and a really good healer, which is a role that Jean fills perfectly but she's the only one who can fill that role. Having slightly less damage output in exchange for being way easier to build a team around is a fair trade off imo. Besides, if you're relying on ER substats for Xiao you're losing out on artifacts with crit stats. Every 5.5% ER in substats is an equivalent 6.6% crit value, and when an ER sands gives you 51.8% ER that's a lot of ER you just don't need in substats.
I farmed so hard for Xiao since I got him that I literally got Viridescent anemo goblet with high crit rate and crit damage….. I guess it’s Kazuha’s lucky day.
@@Sloth-tr7bd even as a sub dps EM will always better especially since it can also buff teammates if you're facing single target (which is the only place crit kazuha can do 5-10% more dmg than em kazuha) while kazuha likes having some crit situationally you will always want EM main stat pieces
@@birittany6767 the more atack you have, the lesser important it gets If u have a xiao with 5k ATK but 20%CR and 70%CD and 100%ER, that high atack is esentialy useless. It can be replaced by other stats that would, on the contrary, become more relevant. At least thats how i get it.
@@birittany6767 If you have 2k attack, and you added 100 more attack, that'd be a 5% increase in attack, but if you had 1k attack and added 100 attack, that'd be an extra 10% attack, so the more attack you have, the smaller the percentage increase. In Xiao's case, the extra attack from the new set can lead to oversaturated attack to the point where you'd get more value putting it into another stat. I don't think an ER sands is worth personally since I run my Xiao with sucrose and fav lance Zhongli and my 122% ER is fine, but you should focus more on crit and ER substats on your artifacts instead of atk%.
@@kpkazan yes it will because it lets you have better burst uptime and better rotations. And like the others have been saying is that, too much ATK is a bad thing. Your stats have to balance out other wise you won't be doing damage, and ATK% is no different.
I spent 500 resin and got a set very similar to my og set. Og was 84:210 (that was after months of farming too, from 2.2 to when Baal came out). I spend TWO DAYS in the new domain and got full 4 piece with 80:196
When I was farming for Ayato, I was getting *really* good artifacts for Xiao, but now that I am farming for him, I’m getting *really,really* good artifacts for Ayato-
i contemplated about getting a new set for xiao, but at the moment with the og 2pc, half built artefacts he is already hitting 50k crit on his burst plunges. i saw a comment that said the new artefacts raised his atk by quite a significant number but i'm happy enough where he is and prefer to focus on farming artefacts for other characters for now. maybe when i get the jade spear i will reconsider getting the new artefacts
my xiao build is one of the best ones on my account and I'm not sure how long it'll take for me to get artifacts of the same quality in the new set. I've had him since day one and have been farming ever since. i don't have anything else i want to farm at the moment and i have ayato so I'm still gonna farm the domain so we'll see.

I couldn’t be happier that they gave us a new set for Xiao. He’s been a pain in the butt to get artifacts for because of how unique of a character he is, I felt the typical anemo set wasn’t working for him. All that’s next is a decent 4 star weapon for f2p.
Advice for rolling artifacts... Xiao had crit rate as ascension stats so if u want more crit rate use him to select artifacts and roll it... Almost all the time works for me... Except i use diluc cuz i dont have xiao
Same, also getting an equally good 4pc will just statistically take a LOT more runs than a 2pc+2pc combo. Not worth the resin for a minimal improvement
About the crit rolls, someone has already done a measure of what the rng for Stat rolls in general are for artifacts and they lean heavily to flat stats/hp def and atk. I wouldn't be surprised if after thinking it over (ie people criticizing it), they realized nobody would want to go in there to replace what they already have, so they changed the stat leans more towards crit and atk. Or you just used up all your luck lol
It kinda makes sense why you get so much Crit Rate on this set, kinda similar to getting Crit Stats at all on OHC which is designed for Kokomi Both Xiao and his Signature weapon (which a fair few people have considering it’s on the standard banner) have Crit Rate on them reaching like 47 Crit Rate from the two alone so having all those substat rolls would almost overcap you Edit: Forgot to explain why this would make it make sense, this game’s artifact system is designed to take desirable stats and minimise the chance of getting them, then minimise the chance of getting them with good rolls, I think the best example is Husk of Opulent Dreams where the desirable DEF and Geo DMG bonus artifacts are seemingly less common whereas things like HP and Elemental Mastery seem to have a drop boost, there’s not really a definitive “this is 100% how this works, here’s the evidence” but a majority of people feel like this is how it works and it would make sense with this game’s business model
my xiao build is perfect, tyvm, three piece viridescent and two piece shimenawa which i spent nearly a year's worth of resin farming do excellent damage and there is no way in frick that i'll give them up 😄 i had him on two piece gladiator before, but then i realised that they had trashy subs so i swapped them for shimenawa, which took me another two months worth of farming that's blood, sweat and tears right there.
I wish I could go from "this set sucks" when I first get the artifacts to "this set is amazing" after levelling it up. It's always the other way around.
so far ive been getting god rolls from this artifact domain! i got a geo damage bonus with double crit value and it almost went all into crit dmg!! perfect for my dps zhongli
Ok so someone explain this to me. At about 6:30 Moga is looking over Xiao’s new build. Xiao’s ATK is exactly 2300, but when he looks at the details it says 957 + 1342, which equates to 2299. Where did the extra ATK come from? Are there hidden fractions that make it actually be 2300 or does Genshin just round up the stats?
There are so many types of concepts that hoyoverse could use in creating the goblet of eonothem artifact for vermillion hereafter and they had to choose THAT ONE.
I'm laughing so hard during the raising artifacts part cause I've never seen so many crit rate rolls in my entire life and they just keep coming and coming and moga's reactions are cracking me up
I feel like it's a waste of resin honestly My Xiao does almost identical dmg with 2500 atk and 197% crit dmg (2 shimi 2 viri, atk cup) Even if the new set technically does a bit more dmg in theory, in practice a 2p 2p set is almost always gonna have better substats anyways so it's really not a dmg increase.
The new set works especially well with his signature weapon because that adds further attack increase stacks as well as a pure damage boost when all stacks are acquired.
For Sayu I would suggest a 4-piece maidens with lots of EM, ATK, and ER. Elemental mastery because with one of her passives she increase her healing by 1.2 (I think) for every point of EM till a certain amount (I believe 300 extra healing points) on her Elemental Skill. ATK for her burst because the start heals based off ATK. ER just to get her burst faster. C1 is practically Needed. Sayu is more of a healer though if you do try she can be a sub DPS. Build: 4-piece Maidens with healing bonus circlet, sands and goblet should have ATK% as main stat and as much EM possible. You should also have Sacrificial GreatSword for ER.
Imagine the dmg of your Xaio if you leveled up his autos and Q-skill. Your Xaio would be doing even more insane dmg. Love the vid, keep up the good work!
As pretty as the Xiao 'artifact set' looks and I LOVE purple, I regret spending resin on that domain. As some have said the Echoes set for Ayato is inconsistent and that Heart of Depth is much better along with the Blizzard set. My Xiao's artifact stats are really good and it didn't take me too long to farm his pieces so I have a good build Xiao that took little time.... theeen there is Itto and Ayato who have the worst luck ;#;
this new set for me is great. I got xiao in his latest rerun so initially I didn't have a lot of time to farm a perfect artifact set. the one I had on xiao made him do around 29k, but this new set he's able to do 30k-39k, and with supports he broke his score of 74k to hitting 83k in abyss. I'd reccomend this new set 10000000%%%
