Heidi’s mom hated Spencer and felt like he sabotaged their relationship, Heidi’s sister hated Spencer and felt the same, Heidi’s boss fired Heidi *because* of Spencer and said he was never welcome anywhere, brody didn’t speak to Spencer for a time, Audrina had a problem with Heidi for a while bc of Spencer.. But Lauren is totally insane 🤪

Heidi just stop. No one is hating on you for standing up for yourself. You say the same things every episode and blame everything on Lauren and making yourself the victim and it's not helping your case at all. It's hard to take you seriously when you dont take any responsibility for anything, you dont say anything about how Spencer was a complete asshole to Lauren and anything that makes you look bad you say it's all editing but anything negative towards Lauren was all real and she's the bad guy. Just stop already.

Thanks for the episode! Let’s go scene by scene and at least summarize each conversation. That way everyone gets a fair shake. Cutting out every scene that shows Spencer’s red flags or where someone refers to Spencer’s bad behavior doesn’t make sense.

Whitney and Timmy rewatching was more thorough. I feel like this podcast is just pick and choose to fit a narrative. They criticized all their actions including Lauren. Heidi has brought truth to the table and that’s excellent, like saying how she and Spencer staged scenes to get popular and make more money and have fame. Their objectives were clear then and now as well. It’s not hating to point this out btw.

Just like Kristen in BTTB says, Lauren had a hard time trusting people. She didn’t know who wanted to be her friend or use her for the show. I honestly believe that she soon realized that Heidi only wanted to befriend LC to be on the show and the world saw that too.

Heidi and Spencer are responsible for the sex tape rumors about Lauren. Why on earth would and should she be friends with her? Why are Heidi, Audrina, Frankie, and Brody forgetting this? I don’t blame Lauren for not going on this podcast or revisiting anything regarding The Hills - she’s probably traumatized from what Heidi and Spencer put her through, and she has a beautiful family/life. She doesn’t need to revisit this BS. Also, Audrina is the biggest instigator. I don’t believe her innocent act one bit.

Lauren will always come out the winner. She is a class act who made the most of every opportunity, became extremely successful, and has moved on to be a wife and mother. I am embarrassed listening to you GROWN people sitting around and trashing her without taking any accountability.

I know she won’t because she’s too classy and doesn’t want to be involved with these awful people anymore, but I’m dying for Lauren’s truth.

Sometimes I wonder if they watch the episodes. It feels like they cherry pick what scenes they want to talk about and fits their narrative best. It will be interesting to see how they handle season 3.

Why dont any of you comment on how Spencer was a dick to Lauren? You all act as if she hated him for no reason. And you all always skip the parts where Audrina liked to talk shit about Heidi and Spencer too and all Audrina ever says is I dont remember when there is a scene that shows it wasnt just Lauren, it was her too. And Heidi, just stop. Seriously you need to just stop already.

Having Heidi on the podcast just feels like they’re taking the opportunity to spin the whole show to make Lauren out to be a really bad person. Every scene where Lauren is mean or comes off bad, they say it was real and serious, but when Heidi or Spencer look bad or mean, it’s totally fake.

I wish they were more open and honest. I understand the need to save face - they're known for the hills, and people still want to talk to them about it so they each have to protect their brand. Maybe 20 years down the line or whenever people aren't interested anymore then they'll come out and be honest with what happened and didn't happen, when they no longer have anything in it. Interested to see if the tone will change when Whitney's on.

It is disappointing that the whole point of this show is to tell us what really happened and what was produced. No one is coming clean with what they did as a mistake. Audrina is loyal to Heidi now, but back then, Audrina wasn't, and she should be telling us her truth. Audrina is a follower to whoever is in the lime light at the time. That is clear now. Heidi, I'm sure she did try hard to fix things with Lauren, but girl, you are not innocent. You know that you played the game, so now tell us how you did. Brody is real and considerate of feelings, but he did call Jen out. They kissed..... big deal. Jen, you are a successful doctor now with a husband and kids. Im sure your husband wouldn't be upset that you kissed someone before you ever met your husband. Just own up to it. It's been 16 years. Franky is just there for a good time and asks the harder questions, which we appreciate. I'm happy that they are now dissecting the episodes and giving some clarity on a few things, but they strategically skip the scenes that include them looking bad. Audrina gets off the hook the most. She bashed Spencer so much. If you and Heidi haven't worked through it, are you even a good friend? What do you say behind Heidi's back now? I really hope Kristin does do her own version of the show. Her current podcast is well produced, well thought out, and consistent. She owns her mistakes and tells us what really happened. That's what we really want, not blaming Lauren, a girl who isn't on the show and isn't there to set the record straight. Maybe Kristin and Lauren will do a " The Hills " podcast together.

These comments are tiring but to be expected. Everyone goes on about Timmy and whit but seems to have forgotten that they were bullied into silence by Lauren fans who came for them any time they’d say anything negative about Lauren … to the point where they just stopped commenting on her pretty much because it caused too many backlash comments, and now here’s Heidi saying the same thing, she’s getting backlash for the same thing. It is unfair to expect a friend to choose between friend and love partner. A real friend accepts choices friends make and is supportive during good and bad times. That said, it is wrong to facilitate lies, and gossip about someone who felt the need to remove herself from the friendship. Lauren's choice deserves respect, too.

I don’t know who annoys me more at this point.. Heidi or Audrina? With as much as Audrina talks about how her and Lauren were becoming real friends at this point and hanging out outside of the show, she sure puts all the blame on Lauren and acts like she herself never had any real ill feelings toward Spencer and Heidi. The clueless act isn’t cute girl. & Heidi is just still obsessed with Lauren. Period. It’s funny how they never really discuss the shade Spencer would throw either, and when they do, they say he was “producing”. Y’all are exhausting. I can’t wait to get to the nitty gritty of when Spencer and Heidi spread the rumor about Lauren. Heidi has time to prep her story for that though.

I'm sorry you had to go through that Heidi. Sometimes Lauren could come across as such a mature person, but in this case, and quite a few others she really sunk to a whole new level and showed a nasty side to her that I didn't think existed. This scene hurt my heart because I went through something similar with my best friend. She pushed me away as well and started sucking up to one of my other girlfriends acting like they had a stronger connection. I know now that I am in my 50's that she was just doing it because she was bitter about us drifting apart, but it just showed me how petty and childish she was being. I was feeling nostalgic the other night and decided to binge watch the entire series of The Hills and I could see right from the beginning that you and Lauren were very different people and that your friendship was never going to stand the test of time, with or without Spencer in the picture so try not to beat yourself up about it. Lauren is just more of an introvert, and with you being such an extrovert you would be better off surrounding yourself with people that share the same interests as you. Also to be 100% clear Lauren and Spencer hated each other and in the end it became a competition for both of them. Spencer planting seeds in your ear against Lauren, and Lauren pretty much saying in not so many words, it's him or me. Once she could see that he was more important to you than she was, in typical Aquarius fashion she cut you out of her life in an Ice Queen kind of a way. I have Aquarius as my Moon sign and I think you do as well Heidi, so you can probably ice people out emotionally when you feel hurt. It's a super power that all Aquarians have but it hurts to be on the receiving end of that coldness. Lauren has an Aquarius Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter, which means she is very good at cutting people out of her life and icing them out permanently if needed. It can be very cold and calculating but it's just how Aquarians shield themselves against getting hurt. Looking at Spencer's chart is a whole other can of worms. He only has one water sign and Brody has none. That shows me a lack of empathy and compassion for what others are going through. It's not their fault because it's just who they are but Brody and Spencer are Alpha males and they've probably gotten really good at putting on a show and acting like they give a damn, but they really don't. Brody said it to Spencer in a cafe one day, he said "You don't care you just pretend to", or something along those lines. I knew exactly what he meant in that moment because I had seen both his and Spencer's birth chart.

You guys keep skipping the main questions that people want answered!!! 1. Did Heidi actually tell Lo she’s moving in with Spencer at the club? 2. Was it actually true that Heidi and Lauren didn’t speak at the club? Or was it jsut edits? 3. What did Audrina have to say about not saying bye to Heidi. They just put it all on Lauren but Audrina did it too!! So why is Audrina not addressing this. 4. What about when Heidi says to Spencer about the house tour at dinner, had they already decided to move in with each other at that point? 5. Heidi says at dinner to Spencer of how she never complained with Lauren and Jason moved in. Did she have that conversation with Lauren off camera? And what was Lauren’s response. This podcast is so surface level!! They jsut need to go scene by scene and not skip parts. Seems like a half hearted attempt!

I think Heidi leaves a big part out of Spencer also hating Lauren and making that known to her. So they BOTH put her in that situation to choose not just Lauren. If it was me I would be uncomfortable with Spencer too! He came into the show to make a scene and to be the villain and you guys planned things on and off camera so yeah that’s shady and I’m sure she wanted no part of that.

Is Spencer ever going to be held accountable for his behavior? He was terrible to her friends, her family and isolated her from people in her life. She thinks it’s sweet but it reads to me as manipulative. And she admits they were playing up their story on camera. Why not tell the truth about the fake story lines you created for the show? Playing the victim is not working.

There’s something to be said about the fact that they’re cherry picking the scenes that they cover considering the fact that the scenes that they’re covering and the behavior within those scenes are a result of scenes that they’re not covering specifically ones that are about The dynamic of Spencer and Lauren and Audrina. If Heidi really wanted to defend herself and clear up any sort of misconception of what took place during the show and during those years she would have a better chance of people actually hearing her out if they actually discuss the context of the entire show and not does cherry pick the ones that make them look less difficult just to make Lauren look more difficult. But there’s also something to be said about the fact that even the smallest amount of truths that’s within the behavior that took place on the show is very clearly a reflection of the fact that them now not wanting to admit that it wasn’t entirely fake and there was truth behind some of the fights and The need to villainize Lauren or any other cast member. It wasn’t just Lauren show and the producers it was the fact that whether Heidi likes it or not Lauren wanted to stand up for herself and wasn’t going to take someone mistreating her. It’s honestly sad that at this point it even needs to be explained to them that people didn’t take Lauren side for no reason.

How about the perspective that spencer wanted Heidi to not live with Lauren and that’s why he was also pressuring her .

You guys are so hateful. Somehow Whitney/Tim, and Kristin/Stephen have done this same thing and been so incredibly gracious to all the cast. You guys insist on throwing Lauren under the bus constantly when she’s not even here to defend herself. Heidi’s jealousy of “Lauren’s show” is sooooo blatant and pathetic. We all know Heidi came along and became friends with famous Lauren Conrad to conveniently get herself a spot on this show. Lauren pressures Heidi to stay: bad. Spencer pressures Heidi to move: he is so in love. The way they just ended the coverage of the show with no further commentary? Anyway, Lauren was on Heidi's side. She saw how Spencer was acting and as near as I can tell did not know it was an act. Spencer is trolling Lauren the whole time but none of that ever makes the cut in these recaps. This is very slanted. Might be your view, doesn't make it fact.

If Lauren isn’t there to tell her side, Heidi shouldn’t assume what Lauren and the producers were saying or not saying to each other.

I actually like Heidi is on the podcast and she does somewhat add an interesting perspective. However, the down side is the fact that there isn't enough accountability on her end. Everything can't be all Lauren's fault.

I get that Heidi has her side. But she trying hard to let me people know that she did nothing wrong. She was the good friend and Lauren was very controlling. I love that Frankie stood up for her and said that she was hurt too. She lost a best friend too. I like how Heidi didn’t comment on that. Heidi also dodge the question that Adriana asked her about telling Lo that Spencer asked her to move in. They also skipped over the whole conversation between Lo and Lauren. How could Lauren be working so hard to get you out of the apartment when she seemed shocked that Spencer asked her to move in? Some of the things that Heidi says doesn’t add up. She also doesn’t want to comment on why Lo and Lauren had a falling out . Both Lauren and Lo have said it was because of Jen. Jen didn’t want to comment on that when she was on. It would be more easier to believe Heidi if she was just be a little more honest and consistent with her truth .

I think Heidi was hurt and never fully got closure from that friendship. I think Lauren was so guarded from being hurt and manipulated by the show and producers and so if she ever saw a threat (like Spencer trying to “make a show”) she tried to push it out and because Heidi was in on the drama Spencer was creating on the show, I think Lauren felt like Heidi was more into the limelight than being Lauren’s friend. I don’t think she knew what was real and what was fake anymore by the second season. I think she ended all her friendships once the show was over and wanted no connections to the show, which is why she stopped her relationship with Audrina, Lo, Jen, and Whitney. I think she felt taken advantage of by the end.

This is just horrible. Too much talk and not enough of the show. People would rather rewatch the show with maybe a small amount of commentary. This looks like everyone just making excuses for their bad behavior. You were a bunch of kids. No one really cares why you did whatever you did!

If Heidi coming on this podcast has done anything for me it is my dislike for her and Audrina even more than before… the bashing Heidi does and Audrina doing her normal follow the leader bit drives me nuts and shows how immature they really still are.

Damn Heidi can't help herself, just keeps digging lower and lower... She admits Spencer gave her the same ultimatum, but still throws all the "ya know, I'D never force someone to make a choice like that" shade on Lauren. "You know what you did!" recap, if they don't just skip it like they do w a lot of negative Speidi scenes, will be the final nail in the coffin or the last chance to take accountability. At the very least, Lauren was in a position where she knew Spencer was producing drama, Spencer did not like her, Spencer was driving a wedge between her and Heidi, and Spencer was known allies w Perez Hilton. Tell me how ANYONE would not expect or, at the very least, hope for a true friend to be just as upset and disgusted at the sort of rumors swirling around Lauren at the time. And all she got from Heidi was a SMUG SHRUG and "I didn't do anything." Giiiiiirl, maybe YOU specifically didn't draft the story, but you KNOW you HEARD the same things, and you couldn't have her back any less. Just shrugged it off and expected her to trust you still?! When Heidi speaks on Lauren it's always "yeah she got her way and she discarded me" implying Lauren is the mean girl, meanwhile every other sentence is about how she wishes they were still friends 🤔 Guilt is one of the main contributors to regret, honey. Spencer is a narcissist who flew into a narc rage at Lauren when she didn’t buy into his bullshit. So he poisoned Heidi against Lauren and tried to twist it into being Lauren’s fault. He repeated the pattern with almost everyone in Heidi’s life - her mom, her sister, her bosses. He disregarded Audrina and Heidi’s friendship by courting Audrina (whether it was fake or not - Heidi said it was to make her jealous and it destroyed their friendship for a time). Spencer kept Jen around because she was stupid enough to get caught up in his games, and became a pawn to continue poisoning Heidi against Lauren.

Spencer says in this clip that he is done hanging out with Lauren. No one comments. When Lauren says she is done hanging out with Spencer - she’s evil, manipulative and controlling. Hmmmm the math ain’t mathing.

I love how they cut off the conversation with Lo and Lauren at the end that was really terrible editing😅

This whole podcast is unfair to Lauren. When Lauren became controlling in Audrina’s life, she took accountability and told Audrina. She also SAID “I made Heidi move out” she knew that she backed Heidi into moving in with Spencer.

This podcast isn’t long enough. You guys should actually go through all the scenes. I liked hearing more about Audrina and Lauren’s friendship. They seemed like genuinely good friends to me. If she didn’t believe the JB rumor they’d probably still be friends. It was so outlandish that Lauren may have thought she really didn’t believe it was true. And also couldn’t believe Audrina would think she’d do that to her. They had such great chemistry on screen and iconic scenes. Homeboy wore combat boots to the beach!

Yeah! :) Whitney playing baseball with her family and friends reminds Me of family reunion fun 🤩 It seems Heidi did want to have fun and hangout with the girls for New Year’s Eve. But Heidi was starting to be more fake for the cameras, so it is hard to tell when she is being genuine. It is obvious that Spencer was discouraging of Heidi being friends with Lauren or Audrina. It seems that Spencer just wants Heidi to hang out with him…because her friends do not like him. But seeing Heidi jealous of Lauren and Audrina growing closer is funny 😂 I know during this time Lauren had a group of friends who were her childhood friends from Laguna that didn’t want to be on the show but were usually in the background. Though we see Jill once in a while throughout the run of the show. Lauren is starting to disconnect more from Heidi. Trying to let her go as a bestie but you can tell it is hard for her. But in a few months once those true colors of Heidi’s comes out and shines through, Lauren’s mood will be like “Bye forever, bitch!” That guy Lauren was with for New Year’s was a hottie! Cafe Sushi… YUM! And Lauren and Lo hanging out is the best :) Heidi telling everyone else except Lauren that she is planning to move in with Spencer is so odd. She was that paranoid to tell Lauren? It is so interesting that nowadays Audrina and Heidi bond, and contradict themselves, over claims that Lauren treated them badly. It is good that the paparazzi, etc. was not included as a part of their storylines. It was important to keep the show as “authentic” as possible.

Heidi made the comment that it’s hard to make any comments because she’s going to get accused of bashing Lauren. But- you can tell your side WITHOUT bad mouthing the other person. As viewers, or at least for me, I just want the everyone to take accountability for their part in it all. Audrina, Spencer, Heidi, Brody and Jen all get a pass and no one says dang that was really wrong of me to act that way or yeah Spencer played a part in this situation and he caused issues. No. Instead, all it is well it was Lauren’s show and she did this and she did that. Just take accountability for what you did and acknowledge that your precious Spencer was not perfect. YALL WOULD NOT HAVE HAD A SHOW IF IT WAS NOT FOR LAUREN. And Frankie is seriously becoming the worst. Lauren and Frankie were such great friends and he acts like he just acted like they were friends. Also- how is Heidi not embarrassed that Spencer literally dated her just to be on the show? 😂 I definitely wouldn’t be harping on that. At least this episode wasn’t a bashing session. That was a nice change. Thank y’all for that. But I wouldn’t compare y’all’s friendship to Paris and Nicole’s lol. Totally different situation.

They never left the show and still acting like when they were on the show. They didn't grow and never went further from it and still blaming others for them acting shittay.
