New Year New Look|Moody Victorian & French Country Makeovers  

🙋‍♀️Oh my goodness! Everything is so lovely. "I just can't do white." I'm the same. I love colour. The bedroom is, well, just wonderful. The chandelier, the fabrics, those lampshades, everything is so charming. The fireplace wall and mantel, the sofa and cushions, the artwork are all just stunning. I've mentioned this before, I love, love the living room drapery fabric. I'm rambling, thank you for another inspirational video.🐶

Hint: I use wood chopstick to touch or smear the hot glue. For smoothing material over hot glue I use a spatula. Saves burning my hands.

I am going to use your idea for pictures. I like to have nice art work but it can get pricey. So, yes I will use The Etsy art work sources. Love all your decor ideas. Amazing!

I have a lot in storage , so I can refresh the walls and it doesn’t cost me anything. I update the pillows either through thrifting or revisiting my stuff packed away. So looking forward to seeing your decor in your French property ❤️🇫🇷❤️.

You can try glossy mod podge on the prints, go thick and kind of like you paint the existing image. There can be thicker blobs of mod podge, it will dry clear. Gives an oil painting effect! (Try on a small print, some ink could be lifted and smeared with the mod podge and ruin the print)

I was so excited to see a new video of yours pop up! I love toile, so the bedroom looks fabulous [I also loved the Christmas look]. The living room looks great. Have you thought about mounting the t.v. to the wall and building a beautiful ornate frame around it? It would then look like a piece of art hanging above the fireplace. Not sure if you have programs in your area [I am in the USA], but you can have an art image on the t.v. displayed also. You are so creative and I love seeing all of your projects and make-overs!

I love it all but my bedroom is my fave! I have gotten into more of the academia colors as well, and they really are relaxing. You can try public domain and can print off any prints 16:47 you want! Great job as always ❤️

I'm doing my living room in a white with a touch of pink with navy, I have the pink white in my kitchen a dark blue green. It's stunning!

The only thing I would add is a gran picture to hide the TV, I just cannot stand TVs exposed, the rest I absolutely love!

Can't believe you used a tablecloth. Aaaahh....A recycled bliss! 😊 A dark colored wall can many times come out too dark and just absorbs too much light and space, but that's not the case here. You did it right. The 🍾 candlestick holders are a nice french touch. So cute and unexpected. You always find lovely unique items. 🌹😍❣️

Everything is charming and cozy and warm! Love the mix of toiles in the bedroom! And that blue wall absorbs the television so the color is the focal point. I have so many prints, but I have to start collecting frames. Hope I can find some as pretty as yours!

Started getting excited yesterday! Knew it was time for a new video from you ! Gorgeous!! Rich is the perfect word to use while decorating!! When people pick up things and say this is cute …. Then you need to lay it back down !! Cute is not a decorating style I aspire to have !! 😂 I use to cover a lot of lamp Shades and been stocking up on fabric and thrifted shades to cover some !! I always used aluminum foil to make my patterns for cutting the fabric .. it forms perfectly and they make extra long foil and I taped together for extra wide shades. I watch the ladies making the covered Christmas balls struggle with making pattens with paper and yell at the screen .. go get aluminum foil !! lol I have owned and showed horses since I was five and I’m 66 now so I have lots of real equine decor… but I love the Victorian equine decor so I mix that in with my horses !! Loved the dark walls .. I have several dark red walls and have always loved them !! Getting ready to paint my kitchen cabinets from White to rich green !! Have a great day .. Hello, this is my first video of yours. I really enjoyed it. The bedroom makeover is so beautiful! I have the same style and use blue toile in my bedroom. I have wanted the fabric over the bed for years. Yours is so beautiful that I am going to get working on that right away! Thank you for the Etsy tip. I have also pale yellow walls and a hunt theme in my dining room. I could use another print or 2 but haven’t found what I’m looking for while thrifting. Yours are perfect so I will be heading to Etsy! Thank you for the inspiration!

It looks fantastic! I agree with you, I love those moody rich colors also. That’s why I want to change my brown living room. I like brown furniture, but not on my walls. Now, the yellow in my kitchen and dining room I love. It’s called Belgian waffle by valspar. It’s a creamy yellow. I want to keep that color and use you Victorian wallpaper technique, that you did in stairway. But on top, on the bottom part I want to do bead board and paint it navy or cream white in my dining room half. Because, my dining room and kitchen are all one open area (cheaper when we had the house extended) I’m going to put in a French door, leading to my laundry room. I haven’t decided if it’s going to be navy or a light French blue color. Just not sure? Thank you so much for your wonderful decorating tips!💕✨

Have you seen the videos of people using rub n buff on their TV frames to make it look like a picture frame? I think that would look great in this room!

I would have used navy ribbon on the lampshades. Pink looks dingy to me. Love the navy fireplace, but not so much the wall. Love your creativity. You inspire me.

Hey Lynsey. I see from your paint can that you are in Grimsby. Too funny, because I live in Stoney Creek. I absolutely love your toiles and French Country decorating, but I admit, I am puzzled. Where are you getting all of this beautiful stuff from for so little money. I cannot find toiles to save my life and like you, I love blue and white (and yellow).

You’ve done a great job but dare I say that hideous TV on the Mantel just spoils it. Some nice ornate brass candleholders on the mantle with a big vintage picture in an ornate frame above the mantle would look amazing.

New to your channel and will subscribe - I so love what you've done in your bedroom and livingroom. Like you I love the Victorian/French Provovincial style. I also, like you, love LOTS of color! The navy color you've chosen for your fireplace wall is spectacular. The only thing I think detracts from that is the huge television over the mantle. It's a trend now I understand but it's so awful and not good for the TV if the fireplace is used a lot. I feel tvs should be designated for another room - which is what I have done in my home. They are not decorative elements.

She's quite the gun slinger with that hot glue gun. Lol. I usually have strands of glue attaching paper scraps, scissors, my fingertips...
