Another year just passed damn time really flies i remember watching the 2021 ver it was like yesterday

I will say that the Dubai show is always the best show, especially recently. Time Square doesn't even come close anymore.

This fireworks display is amazing but I just can’t stop thinking about how the building isn’t connected to the wastewater treatment system so they have to truck all the poop out to a place outside of the city to deal with it.

Happy New Year! Sending you my love as we enter a new year together on this crazy planet. My neighbours had a wonderful street party last night outside in the fresh air lighting fireworks, singing, eating, drinking and chatting. Unfortunately, my dog is terrified of fireworks so we spent the night together up on the third floor listening to calming music. We had a lovely view looking out over the city as fireworks exploded all around us! My dog Maisie does not understand that she need not fear the fireworks--she reacts to the noise and I respond with love, patience and understanding. Fear is a natural instinct that can help us survive. When we feel scared we naturally go into a flight or fight mode as we experience high levels of stress and anxiety. Unlike fireworks, the COVID virus is invisible and there is nowhere for us to hide or escape from the constant threat it poses to ourselves and everyone around us. The fireworks, however, only lasts a few hours and then it is over (my dog is now sleeping peacefully on the couch as if nothing happened last night). My fear of the virus has now mutated into a fear of government and authority. The problem with tyrants is that compliance only makes the situation worse. The more we comply, the longer we stay in fear. I don't want to live in a constant state of fear and life without freedom is slavery. My only wish in 2022 is that we really start to listen to each other and respect different opinions without getting hurt or offended. It's so easy to dismiss other people as "sheeple" or "tin hat conspiracy nuts"--but in the end we are all people and we are all in this together. United we stand, divided we fall. Let’s embrace life together and build back better with love. When we live constantly in fear we enjoy nothing-not even the fireworks!
