Hi guys,
Just back from Iceland which was the most incredible trip I’ve ever been on. The landscape is just so vast & different to anything I've seen before. We did 3 days, because of work etc, but I would love to have stayed for longer. I’d say 5 days would be a perfect trip.
All the details of what we did are below. There’s so much to do so make sure you do your research. Essentially you want to see the sites on the Golden Circle, the Ring Road and Reykjavik. And the Northern Light if you’re lucky. There’s so much to see you could spend weeks doing it.
Hope this is helpful anyway & I hope it encourages you to book because you won’t regret it!
Our itinerary looked like this:
Day one:
Blue Lagoon
Dinner in Maxs restaurant
Northern lights hunting at our hotel: Northern Light Inn
Day Two:
PCR at 8.45am
Thingvellir national park (40 mins to get here from Reykjavik)
Gullfoss falls (1 hr)
Geysir hot springs (10 mins)
Kerid crater (40 mins)
Hotel Von (1 hour back)
Dinner at Kopar
New Years at Hallgrimskirkja church
Day Three:
Seljalandsfoss Waterfall (2hrs)
Skogafoss waterfall (27 mins)
Solheimajokull glacier (15 mins)
Black sand beach in Vik (30 mins)
Northern lights hunting
Stay at Hotel Berg (near airport)
(Our plans changed on Day 3 - we went to the Fagradalsfjall Volcano instead & went back into Reykjavik for food in the Fish Shop & hot dogs from the famous Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur stand)
Other things I would have liked to have done if we had time:
The “Into the Glacier” Tour into the Ice Cave
Whale watching
Snow moiling
Hike a glacier
Black Sand Beach
A whole load of other waterfalls
And of course would love to see the Northern Lights… some day!
The website and app we used for tracking the Northern Lights was: auroraforecast...
The new airline bringing out reasonably priced flights from Ireland to Iceland is called Play: www.flyplay.co...

I'm glad you enjoyed your time in Iceland but to everyone thinking about coming please be aware that it's beautiful but it isn't always safe. Due to weather and other circumstances you might encounter conditions you aren't familiar with. Always ask a local if you are going off the beaten path. Some places aren't accessable for good reason and even some who are need to be approached with caution. Like the black sand beach where people have died due to not following safety guidlines, the last one in November 2021. We want people to enjoy Iceland so please accept that if you are advised to not go somewhere it is for your safety or for the preservation of the land. Which brings me to the reason I started this comment in the first place. Please do not go out on fresh lava fields like Louise did, it might seem solid but you never know there might be airpockets with active lava underneath. Give nature the respect it deserves, it's beautiful but can be deadly. Also: - You can drink the tap water no need to buy water in bottles. - Don't buy your lunch at the tourist centers at locations like Geysir and Þingvellir, Iceland is expensive but that's obscene. - Find supermarkets called Bónus, Nettó or Krónan they are reasonably priced. - You can only buy alcahol in government run stores called Vínbúðin. - vinbudin.is

I went to Iceland 2 years ago and it was the COLDEST I have EVER felt in my life! But it was absolutely magical and I will be visiting again soon. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights when we visited however, we’re hoping for a better view next time! ❄️☃️❤️

Just saw your video! I’m going to Iceland in December and I don’t see many travel vlogs around this time. I was shocked that you could get away with wearing leggings!! I love it. What brand are they? I need to get some before my trip!

Hi Loise.. We are doing the exact same trip, plus a day ! I am so excited. Question: Did you use credit cards always or cash? if cash, do they take euros or just local? Also, how many hours of daylight did you get? Thanks, very nice informational video.

God loves you so much that He sent His Holy Son Jesus from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins, and to be put into a tomb 3 days and rise from the dead the third day, and He (Jesus) went back up to heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15).If we rely on the Holy Spirit daily, He helps us to obey the commands of Christ! Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in 21:8 "But for the cowardly, and unbelieving, and abominable, & murderers, and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith & trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Jesus Christ, and stay in a genuine relationship with Him daily? Please abide in Sinless Christ Jesus daily and remain in Him!
