1:57 that’s actually from southern railway 4501 when it was dressed as Louisville & Nashville mikado 1593. None of the Hudsons ever wore Crosby 3 chime whistles.
While the NYC/Nathan 6-chime is the correct whistle for the Hudsons, most modern recordings aren't entirely accurate as to how they sounded in service since many of them involve quilling the whistle. The whistles on the NYC Hudsons were blown using an air valve instead of a traditional pull cord so they couldn't be quilled.
Why does the first whistle sound like the train is going AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Edit: Never thought I'll get a heart on such a stupid comment, thanks Edit: wait I didn't
NOW THAT'S MORE LIKE IT..!!! NOTHING, NOTHING SOUNDS LIKE A NEW YORK CENTRAL HUDSON..!!! Too bad that dork skinflint PERLMAN never saved a few Hudsons from the smelter's...
@@DovregubbenProductions-vn3vye only whistles in this videl that do resemble what they sounded like are replicas (between 0:38 0:52) the rest are from another train. There's even a Reading 6 chime!!!
