This year’s ball drop had a depressing vibe to it. It’s basically a reflection of all the bad things we went through. Hardly celebratory. I’m glad front line workers got a front row seat. They deserve it.

Big letdown watching New York’s celebration! Nothing but advertisements shoved in your face. Other countries had fireworks, lights & color....New York had Lights filled with advertisements.
Lol Problems about to get worse. Moratorium may have been extended until end of Jan 2021, but then it’s over and millions will again be in jeopardy of being evicted. Food shortages are still happening, still high unemployment. It’s not over yet.
Times square like a ghost town. Watched on earth cam and so lame. New York's celebration is the lamest in the world, I don't feel like a New Yorker this year.

Ummm... these are frontline workers (nurses emt doctors) that were chosen by invitation only (and COVID pcr negative) to come and had to stay in their pods and I didn’t see anyone without a mask on except people speaking in the mic

What a positively awful showing NYC. It matters not that there is a pandemic, SURELY there were ideas kicked around to make things better......you basically did new years as is, which is fine, but without the PEOPLE, the event is just DEAD.
