This is what flying is all about. I hope you guys pursued your aviation skills professionally (trust me you each have what it takes)! I have just retired after 45 years in the USAF and airlines and I have had an amazing life.
@@airwipe1639 False. New York Approach deals with GA traffic daily. It's silly because it makes it confusing for the controllers to constantly have to confirm what the callsign over and over again when just using the N-number would be easier.
@@seageraviation9997 The reason is that the FAA system interrogates the transponder ID. And they are setup to broadcast the AVL callsign. This is because it's a requirement through the FAA when an organization such as a flight school gets a callsign. Annoying to use outside the local area, but it is a legal requirement.
Great video, just keep in mind when you leave the training area it is better to use N______ instead of AVL. Help because that’s how they see you on radar. When I got my Commercial AMEL through Liberty University thing would get a bit confusing when using a different callsign from what we show. Keep the videos up.
That is pure bravery flying a Cessna 172 through probably the busiest airspace in the whole country. Having to change frequencies often, constantly looking for other aircraft, heard the traffic collision system say “traffic.” Even the Piper Cherokee got in trouble lol. I just think the guy operating the radio should slow down his radio calls since he was asked many times to repeat his call sign. Other than that great video.
I wish I could email this to you or some way dm it but there I have no information. I have watched every single one of your videos multiple times, and it has made me re-think my aviation career in the best of ways. I was scared before to start working on my ppl, but your videos have made me much more confident, and excited to start working on my PPL. Thank you so much for all these videos, and for helping motivate and inspire people like me. I look forward to your future uploads.
LOL - Jean Ralphio and his friends go flying! "I use this nonsense callsign because they know who I am" Controller: "Uhh...aircraft calling...what did you say?"
Hey! I was with Prith on the flight (Right seat). I recorded ATC audio through a Sony audio recorder and an ATC audio splitter. One end goes to my headset, and the other end is a 3.5mm headphone jack connector that goes right into the mic port on the audio recorder. This allows ATC audio recording instantly!
Mamoun Elsiddig depends on school. If you’re part 141 tuition and aircraft rental/instructor are usually separate. Part61 could have flight/instructor cost and ground school combined
