His case is something that ruins it for a lot of people who are just discovering him. We all grew up listening to him, he’s our Mexican Tupac ( at least here in Texas ) he’s regarded as one of the best Mexican rappers out there and rightfully so. This album is from 2001 but he started his career in 1995. He was incarcerated in 2002 and sentence to 45 years but he could have reduced his sentence down to 5-10 years if he plead guilty. He’s released numerous of projects from prison, some have even hit the top 10 billboads. The N word has been said way before the 2000s if I’m not mistaken. If you focus on art and give his music a try, believe me y’all won’t regret it.

Basically years ago in the year 01-02 spm was getting a lot of notoriety not just locally which was out of this world do to the fact that he was a Mexican trying to make it in rap and was straight slaying shit he had crowds on top of crowds at his concerts also his music is and will forever remain different he was way ahead of his time literally but as the fates had it set out for the ese he was locked up for having intercourse with an underage girl (13) long story short he claims to not of known as she was a regular worker at a strip club working he ended up impregnating her with his child and got locked up because of it in the year 01 or 02 at the very beginning of his new found fame some say it was out of jealousy that his name is smutted some say it was blackmail in certain ways some say he really is a chomo some say the government wasn’t ready for a Mexican artist with such caliber like this at the time , at the end of it all we have Cali and Texas disconnecting right now with the raza community because we are at odds with each other , Cali believes the paperwork is real and the prooof is in the pudding and he needs to be put off the raza while Texas is saying he’s good . If you ask me , as a Mexican from California I’m disappointed and still in disbelief this shi got me fkd up idk if it’s true or not 100 percent some people seem sure but I never seen the work with my own eyes so yah man hopefully we get to hear more from the man himself when spm gets released 2025
