Hope you all enjoy the backstory of how this project came to be. There's one week left to preorder my photo book on Kickstarter. 100% of profits are going to Doctors Without Borders. Thanks for your support:) Preorder here: bit.ly/nyiqthebook
This is a really good idea. It'll be important later in life too. Crazy how all of these rooftops connect. Here in Toronto, it's old like NYC too, but my old place in Kensington had a kinda connected rooftop structure, but it was more just like houses really close to one another. Definitely didn't have all of these apartments with flat roofs. Now I wanna ask my nice superintendent if I can climb onto the roof of my building.
Bro this so amazing you need more recognition for what you’re doing I’ve been watching since you were skating as a little kid with the helmet. Keep it up with your new life.
This was a lovely video, such wonderful characters and friends you describe despite us seeing the behind the camera view. There is something very New York about rooftops ladders and you can almost smell the summer heat in some of these images. I’m sorry to have missed the kickstarter deadline for your book, but I will definitely look to preorder. This is a great achievement, Josh. All the best from London, UK. xx
This is amazing. How yall connect in such a depressing time. I live in Texas and quarantine has depressed me. At one point I was suicidal and I'm not kidding when I say I was stuck in the moment for six months straight out of the seven months of quarantine. And the president has pissed me off. He hasn't done anything for my depression let alone he couldn't protect himself. But let's just have a moment of peace. I am starting to wake up from this nightmare. From living hell. Finally, Finally, Finally I am making my way to self love. Let's take a moment for self care. And freedom.
That's awesome. I experienced a rooftop in Brooklyn while I was there on a Covid assignment at NYP queens and it was truly amazing. I'm glad you did this
